After he finishes feeding her, Haruka stands up and rummages through the cabinet to fetch some clothing. Unfortunately, the female garments there were all torn and the other clothing; he didn't think to touch. These guys have odd tastes. Haruka walks over to his cabinet and pulls out one of Erika's clothing, before making his way back over to her and placing it in the girl's hands.

Lila looks at the garments and was about to say something. But Haruka cuts her off with an apology. "Sorry, bear with this for a while. I'll send someone to get your clothes."

He understands why she's unsure though, Erika's clothes are somewhat decent. But it's not something any normal girl would go about wearing. Haruka's thoughts break off when he sees her gaze somewhere. Before it flickers back down.

Lila shyly looks down before pointing to the s.h.i.+rt he had on the counter.

Haruka blinks.

"I want to wear your s.h.i.+rt," Lila says softly, with a tint of red on her lovely porcelain-like skin.

. . .Why?

He felt like she did this before too. Despite his confusion, Haruka nodded. He takes the s.h.i.+rt from the counter, glad it was a new one and exchanges the garments the girl had in her hand.

Soft laughter escapes Lila lips as she puts it on,

"Aha, it's too big."

". ..."

Haruka is completely speechless.

That s.h.i.+rt looks good on her...It shows her curves perfectly. But more importantly, that bright smile of hers. Is she, really happy, being here with him?

"Why didn't you say anything?"Haruka decides to bring it up, while he has the chance.

Lila pauses before speaking up, "You told me not to mix work affairs and my private life."

"..Tsk, I did say that. But d.a.m.n, don't listen."

He cups her cheeks with his hand and kisses her again, this time with a gentleness he didn't know that was possible for him.

"Se..senpai.."

"That's normally my policy. But I want to mix my private and work life together. So, you do the same and rely on me."

He doesn't know whether she understood. But, he extends his hand out and caresses her cheek. Feeling her lean into his palm, he pauses. Does she, want to be with him? Just like he wants to be with her? He really wants to know. Will she tell him? If he is completely honest with her. Will he be able to understand her heart? The heart of the girl he loves.

"Aah um..."

"Thank you, for earlier..."

Lila nods shyly and laughs. "En."

He doesn't want to lose this girl. Now that he's known her warmth properly, he wouldn't be able to survive without her. Maybe he's exaggerating. But, he really feels this way. He will do anything for her to remain by his side.

"Senpai?"

"I just want to hug."

"Aha, okay!"

He really can't let her go.

But she clearly had other plans.

"Senpai."

"What?"

"Your um, sleeping beside me?"Lila's tone was filled with confusion; as she looks at him with wide eyes, curiosity filled her gaze.

Right, it must be unusual for her. Normally he would have gotten up and left by now. Haruka managed a nod. No sooner had he attempted to close his eyes to sleep, he feels her inching closer. "What, are you doing?"

To his surprise, she didn't shy away, and outright said it."... I just wanted to touch you a little."

A little.

Normally when he gets touched, it ends up with him sleeping with that girl. But this one clearly doesn't have such intentions. He quickly resigns himself only to find that the girl had stopped. She looked at him for a few seconds before drawing her hands back.

.. .she must be thinking of Austin Kiryu again.

She must have realized that they aren't the same. Right, he isn't. He can't ever be that guy. He can't ever measure up to her beloved. But, just for a while longer. He pulls the girl into his arms, wrapping his arms tightly around her. The sensation felt foreign to him, as it ought to. He has never been so carelessly closing with another person before. Even the girls he sleeps with, he's always remained cautious and vigilant. However, there is no need to with this girl.

"Sleep."Haruka murmurs against her hair.

Lila seemed very pleased, since she wore a bright smile on her face, "This is comfortable!"

Haruka nodded.

"Haruka too?"

"Yeah."

"I'm happy."

"It is your birthday."

"En, is this my present?"Lila asks.

"Sort of. You'll get a proper one later."

Seeing that scene, Kanehera Yumeko finds herself walking off. She had been watching for a few minutes now. That guy really has changed somewhat. Although it was clear that last time Ari-chan was sick. But now she can say so for sure. However, this kindness he's showing isn't unfamiliar to her, and that's why it's worrying.
