Haruka suddenly placed her down on the high table in the hallway. His eyes locked with hers, "But your trembling wife."

At that comment, Lila bit the edge of her lip. She felt her body trembling intensely, and Haruka leaned forward. He lightly brushed his forehead against hers.

"Lila. Let's break up."

For a moment, Lila could not register his words. Her mind turned blank, and she trembled all over. What? What did Haruka just say there? He wants to do what?

Lila shook her head. "No!!"

"But your suffering. I think you need a break from me."

That's not it. She isn't suffering; she likes Haruka so much.

"Just for a few months, and then we can get back together again. You need to relax."

"But we can't," Lila mumbled. What if something happens during those few months? No, she would rather hold onto him like this, even if it is selfish of her. She wrapped her arms around his neck. "I can't leave you."

"I see, alright. You know I will respect your wishes."

Lila placed gentle kisses down his neck before she bit him. She didn't ask. There was never any need. What is he thinking right now? Does he actually want to break up? Just the thought of it upset her. How could he say it so easily? As Lila drank, though, she immediately noticed something strange. 'He's hiding something...'

She continued to drink and eventually found it. A deal with Zane? When did he have time to do that? 'Temporary break up with Teras.h.i.+ma Lila...' It seemed like Haruka was reluctant, but Zane threatened him with something. Lila frowned and pulled away from him.

Haruka chuckled when she glared at him. "Alright, alright, I know what you're going to say. But wife, do you understand why I did that?"

"Not at all. Let me go."

"I won't; you will fall and hurt yourself." Haruka squeezed her hands rea.s.suringly. "Don't get angry anymore. I love you, Lila."

She and Haruka returned to the living room where they left brother and Yumeko-chan. The moment they arrived, Lila saw a sweet scene. Brother pampered Yumeko, who fell asleep and rested her head on the table.

He carefully tucked her in with a blanket but suddenly looked around for something else. He walked over to the couch, picked up a pillow and carefully moved Yumeko so her head rested on the pillow.

'So, there is nothing between them?' Lila thought. Then again, her brother is kind to everyone. Haruka placed her down on the other couch, causing her brother to look over.

"Hey, Haruka!!"

"Yumeko is sleeping." Haruka pointed out.

Huan sighed. "You know, you need to be more attentive towards Lila. She acts cold-hearted, but she wants to be spoi-" her brother stopped in mid-sentence.

Lila sweat fell. She understood why he stopped. Currently, her husband pulled up the small couch and placed a fancy cus.h.i.+on on the top. Before, he gently placed her legs down on the other couch. Her brother sweat fell.

"d.a.m.n."

"Wife, do you need anything? I will get you anything." Haruka asked.

"Kiss."

Haruka bent down and gently kissed her lips, causing her to laugh. "Okay, I think I want another."

"You two!" Huan exclaimed.

"Oh, you were there, brother?"

Before her brother could say anything else, they hear the sound of the doorbell.

"If you two want to get frisky, go ahead. I will get the door." Huan walked off.

Haruka wrapped his arms around her waist. "Brother gave me permission to attack you."

"Don't be silly," Lila trailed off. 'Who could it be?' It's already late. It isn't Soichiro, is it? She shook her head. No, he would message her.

Moments later, her brother entered the room with a woman with beautiful golden blonde hair and emerald green eyes. Ah??!! Lila immediately recognized her. The person with her brother was Ahoji k.u.mi, her brother's fiancee, and her sister's senpai.

"k.u.mi-senpai!"

"It's pouring out there." k.u.mi laughed. The girl's entire dress drenched due to the rain.

Lila watched as her brother wrapped his coat around k.u.mi-senpai's shoulders. She could not miss the gentleness and tender expression on "You'll catch a cold, k.u.mi."

Her gaze softened when she saw this scene.

"I'm fine," she reached over and caressed his cheeks. "Are you alright?"

"..."

"Sorry."

k.u.mi shook her head. "No, I understand."

'These two...' Lila never observed them properly before, but they make a cute couple. Cute is one thing. Just by looking at each other's eyes, Lila could feel their affection for one another. It seems like she made a mistake. The one her brother loves is Ahoji k.u.mi; there is no doubt about that.

Brother brought k.u.mi-senpai over to the couch, and the four of them sat on the couches around the table.

"Lila, your medicine." Haruka urged, placing some tablets on the table in front of her.

"Ah, okay, hubby."

"Eat this first," he pa.s.sed a tray of food, and Lila blinked.

Where did that come from? Lila kept laughing, watching as Haruka fussed over her.

"Speaking of which, Lilchan, you got married before me.."

Lila blinked. "Ah, that's true."

"We made a bet before, who would get married first, do you remember?"

"I remember."

k.u.mi chuckled. "It seems I was right."

Haruka frowned and wrapped his arms around her. "What did you bet on? My wife can't do anything dangerous."

k.u.mi shook her head, "The outcome doesn't matter."

Lila glanced over at her senpai and nodded. "I suppose so."

"Keeping secrets, I see." Haruka kissed her cheeks slightly. "Do you have more beer?"

"Ah, yes, I bought some."

"Mmm, thanks, babe."

Haruka let's go of her and stood up. Lila watched him walk over to the kitchen. 'Somehow, their relations.h.i.+p is a bit different now.' She wonders what it is.. Her brother also stood up and went to the kitchen. When she saw his expression, Lila knew they had something to discuss.

"Harukkun treats you very well."

Lila's gaze softened at those words. "He does. Even at the start, when he was acting like a jerk. Whenever he did anything mean, he would make it up to me right away. Once I fell asleep after we fought, and he wrapped his coat around me. He kept me safe and protected."

"I see," her gaze fell on Huan. "I spoke about this with your brother. But can I write you and Yumeko-chan a song?"

Ah? k.u.mi-senpai's songs?
