In the kitchen, Yve hurried up as she knew that Vince is already awake. She looked at the chef beside him and asked,

"May I trouble you to do the plating of the garlic bread and to prepare the rest of the needed utensils? We need to hurry up."

"I will gladly do that."

As soon as the chef obeyed her order, Yve began to cook the pasta sauce. She first cooked the bacon until golden brown and drain it on paper towels. She then season the chicken on both sides and cooked it in bacon fat. After which, she melted b.u.t.ter over a medium heat and added garlic and onion. She then added the cream, pasta water and parmesan and let it simmer for 2 minutes.

"Ms. we don't have enough time. He called me once more and I think he will disperse the rest of the team if we don't come back soon."

"I see." Yve said and placed the pasta on the tray. Finally, she looked at the chefs and said,

"I will send my secretary as soon as I finish writing the recipe for you. Thank you for your help and for letting me use your kitchen." She bowed afterwards and earned the respect of the kitchen staff.

None culinary staff won't actually understand how important the kitchen is but the woman in front of them not only understands but truly cared and respected it. The head chef was deeply touched by this and said,

"Ms. if you need any help in the future or if you want to use the kitchen once more, feel free to do so."

"Thank you so much!" Yve smiled and left with Chrysthe pus.h.i.+ng the serving cart.

Meanwhile inside the suite, Vince can't focus on the doc.u.ments on top of his desk. He had called Chrysthe so many times and this man has ignored them consistently.

"Why won't he give me an idea on what is going on?" Vince was now looking at his laptop with Yve's picture as the wallpaper when he remembered his note last night.

"I need to plan the proper marriage proposal for her." Vince said to himself and started to get busy.

But when he least expected, there was a knock on the door. As soon as he stood up to check who was it, the door opened with Yve and Chrysthe. He walked straight to Yve and hugged her. Yve was shocked but didn't complain. At the back, Chrysthe is scared as Vince's deadly eyes are throwing daggers at him.

"Ms. Yve, I better get out of here before Primo kills me." Chrysthe said and ran outside the room.

Yve tapped Vince's back and said, "Okay, big man. Don't scold Chrysthe. It was I who told him not to tell. You."

Vince pushed her a little bit to look at her and asked, "So where were you?"

Yve didn't answer him. Instead, she walked towards the cart and pushed it to the dining area. Vince had no other choice but to follow her. Then, Yve started placing the dishes on the table and from how the food looks, he was sure that it was his favorite creamy pasta with cheesy garlic bread. Vince sat on one of the chairs and asked,

"Did you cook this?"

"Oh! You can tell just by how it looks?" Yve grasped in surprise.

"Hmm… The cheese in the garlic bread is too noticeable." Vince said.

Yve sat on the other chair and said, "Yes. I made all of this. I was cooking the pasta when you called Chrysthe."

"You should have said that you were cooking." Vince said.

"But I wanted it to be a surprise." Yve insisted.

"Okay, I got it. But maybe next time, you can leave a note telling me that you're going out and that at least one from Team Alpha is with you."

Yve felt sorry for Vince as worry was evident in his tone. She can't do anything except nod her head and a.s.sure him.

"Yes, I'll make sure to take note of that. Sorry."

Vince saw a change in Yve's tone and reaction. He felt bad about it and thought he needed to change the atmosphere. He twirled the pasta with the fork properly and placed it in his mouth. He then ate a bite of garlic bread. The crispiness caused Yve to look at him.

"YES! This is the one I have been looking for! Aside from my mom and me, you're the only one who can cook it." Vince complimented her and the food causing Yve's spirit to lift up once more.

"REALLY?! That's good to know then." Yve said and started to eat her share of the pasta.

After eating, Vince can't help but wonder why would Yve suddenly cook for him. To feed his curiosity, he asked.

"Why did you suddenly cook for me? Not that I was complaining but…"

"I LOVE YOU!" Yve shouted out of the blue and interrupted Vince.
