This Time You Are Mine 261 Confessing The Truth 2

Yve washed her face and changed into her casual clothes and Vince did the same thing. When Vince saw how she changed her outfit, he also did the same thing. As they were about to leave, Chrysthe was already waiting for them with the car.

"Chrysthe, how come you..."

"He woke up at the time I arrived." Vince answered for Chrsythe.

Yve nodded in an answer and instructed Chrysthe.

"To the base, please." This simple instruction shocked Vince and Chrysthe. But as soon as they settled in the car, Yve sent a message to all the members of Team Alpha including Edward to head to base and prepare the reports of her failed a.s.sa.s.sination.

'So the Lady Boss is planning to inform Primo of what happened. Maybe the Boss also admitted what happened during Maddie's kidnapping?' Chrysthe thought as he drives the couple to the base.

On the other hand, Sylvan and Edward got up and hurried to the base as the message of Yve instructed. They left the house together with Sylvan driving.

"Is there anything wrong with Yve today, Sylvan?" Edward asked still in his pajamas

"Nothing from my perspective. Her work and studies are doing well." Sylvan asnwered.

"Then it must have been Vince. Do you have any idea on why Yve called for us early in the morning?" Edward asked the observant subordinate.

"This is just a hunch but may the Young Madam want to reveal to the Boss her failed a.s.sa.s.sination."

"Then Vince must have told her the truth about Auntie's kidnapping then." Edward added.

"Sylvan, we need to hurry." Edward exclaimed making the latter hurry to their base.

With that simple instruction, Sylvan steps on the gas to shorten their agony of thinking what's going to happen next.

In a short while, Team Alpha with Edward, Vince and Yve have a.s.sembled in Vince's private office as instructed by Vince.

'For Team Alpha to be involved in this secret, it must be a big one. They even hide it from me. My wife's orders are getting to my most loyal team. Not that I mind it, of course.' Vince thought to himself as he noticed the teamwork between his wife and the team.

"Young Madam, are you sure about this?" Vince heard Slayne asked Yve for confirmation.

"Yes. He deserves to know the truth." Yve replied and left with no choice, Vince saw Slayne handed out envelopes to her.

"You can all leave us now. I will just call you when we need you. Thank you." Yve thanked them and with that order, only Vince and Yve were left inside the room.

"This must be pretty serious for Team Alpha to be involved in your secret and Slayne to be that worried." Vince commented as soon as they were the only ones inside the room.

"Yup, it's quite big and could have been of the same scale as Maddie's." Yve answered and handed out the envelopes for him to see.

"What are these?" Vince curiously asked as he opened the envelope labeled as 1.

"While you were gone, someone tried to launch an attack at me. They failed thanks to Sylvan and Chrsythe who were always alert." Yve said and seeing the changes on Vince's face.

The man's face looked worried then finally sharp. So Yve decided to keep quiet to allow her husband to read the files he is holding in his hands.

Vince silently reads the contents of the papers and only the flipping of the page makes noise inside the room. Yve can't help but feel more anxious. She has been observing the changes on her husband's face.

'I'm doomed. He is really angry. I can tell.' Yve thought as she sees her husband placed the papers back and opened another envelope labeled 2.

The second folder contains the annihilation of Red Stripes and the truth they discovered that it was Jenny who ordered the a.s.sa.s.sination. Yve can't seem to read Vince's reactions on the information he has been reading for quite some time now. However, unlike the first envelope, Vince didn't return some of the papers and moved on the third envelope. It's the last one which contains her job at one of the malls of Stones Enterprise.

Unlike the first two, Vince read the contents of the last envelope in a very swift manner. Without placing the contents back, he stood abruptly and hugged his wife tightly in his arms.

"Vince?" Yve mustered all her courage to say the name of her husband.

"Why did you hide it from me? Why didn't you call me as a soon as everything was resolved? You could have died!" Anger and frustration are now evident in Vince's voice.

"You were still looking for mom and it was stressing you out. I don't want to stress you further since nothing happened to me." Yve explained in a flash sensing the urgency for it.

"Still….."

"You placed your absolute trust and confidence in Slayne and the rest of the team. They didn't fail you. They protected me and erased the enemy in accordance to your rule book or something like that." Yve further explained.

Vince cupped Yve's face close enough for their noses to touch the other. Yve could feel Vince's breath so close to her face.

"But they didn't inform me." Vince debated.

"Because I told them not to. I told them I want to tell it on my own instead of you hearing the news from them." Yve felt the need to defend the rest of the team.

Yve cupped Vince's face and changing their position by slighting tilting Vince's head allowing her to kiss him gently. It was short but It was just enough for Vince to move his hands down to Yve's back. She nuzzled her face on Vince's shoulders trying to go deep as possible. She also squeezed her body tighter in the man's embrace. These series of actions comforted Vince and making him feel that indeed his wife survived it and will stay in his arms.
