VINCE's POV

I said my feelings to her again but she gave me another vague response with "Me, too." What does it mean? Which 'me, too' is she referring to?

But I guess she was fine even after her stepmother and stepsister came to her office. She didn't mention it to me so I guess it went well in her favor.

HYACINTH's POV

"What's my schedule for today?"

"You have a meeting with the new SkyMu president at 10 in the morning, a vocalization practice at 1PM, a pictorial for a magazine with interview at 5PM and the dance room #1 is all yours from 11PM until the morning." My manager answered me.

"Okay, but I haven't heard about the change in the president. What happened to that Airis?!"

To be honest, I don't really like that Airis girl. I have been in the industry for 2 years already and I don't mean to brag but my alb.u.ms are always doing fine but no signs of growth. I have been receiving feedbacks on how my songs were always the same and when I try to talk it to her nothing happens.

"I'm not also sure what happened to Ms. Airis." My manager answered.

"How about the new president, have you heard anything about her? Wait, is she a she or a he?"

"I don't know her yet. She was given the position yesterday and today is her first day at work."

"Hmmm…. And on her first day she decided to meet me. Interesting. Do you know her name?"

"Her name is Ms. Yvory Smith. I heard she's the biological daughter of Mr. Smith, the former CEO of Stones Enterprises."

"Yvory…. Yvory… why is that name familiar?"

"Well, I did some check-up on her but nothing related to the music or business industry." My manager said.

"So why SkyMu? Anyways, do you know the agenda of the meeting?"

But to my dismay, my manager turned his head sideways, indicating he doesn't know. It's fine. Let's give her a chance. There must be something in her which convinced the Board of Directors to give her the position despite her educational background. I might also be able to remember where did I heard her name if I see her in person.

"Okay. Then let's go to the salon. I want to apply the base makeup in preparation for the pictorial. I also want to look presentable when I meet Ms. Yvory."

With that my manager paved the way to the car and drove the car to my favorite salon.

YVE's POV

I prepared my materials again as I will be meeting Hyacinth in a few minutes. I have also conducted a little research on her. Based on the interviews and even from the PD staff, she's a friendly in person but a little aloof at first. I hope we can reach an agreeable idea.

A few minutes later, I heard a knock on my door.

"Ms. Hyacinth is here now, Ms. Yvory." It was Ed.

"Good. Let her in, please."

Then as beautiful as her stage name sounds, I saw her wearing Chiffon V-neck black top with long floral dress. She paired it with a white gala flat sandals. Her look was very simple but with her basic makeup it looked so pure.

"Hi, nice to finally meet you, Ms. Hyacinth." Then I reached my right hand in handshake.

She did the same and said, "The pleasure is all mine since you included me in the people you wanted to meet on your first day. By the way, here's a bouquet for you. Welcome to SkyMu."

I smiled and accepted the flowers saying, "Thank you but you don't need to do this. Please have a seat."

Then she sat down and I did the same. "Do you want anything?"

"Uhmm, I will have my lunch after this and my vocal training so…" She said.

"How about watermelons then? It's not too heavy and will not bloat your tummy during vocal training?" I asked instead which shocked her but she smiled.

I hope offering her watermelon instead gave me a positive remark.

"But do you have it here?" She asked me.

"Well, my secretary can handle that. Don't you, Ed?"

"Of course. Then I should excuse myself."

Shortly after Hyacinth asked her manager to go also.

"I hope you don't mind. It's our first meeting and having a new president meant a different policy, for me. Am I correct?"

I was astonished with what she asked but I guess you can say she has more to say. I don't mind listening though. It will help me understand her more. Who knows, we may even share the common ground.

"Yes. I a.s.sumed you have something to say."

"Yes. But since you set the appointment first, I want to hear what you have to say."

"Well, first I want to congratulate you for doing a great job in your movie and the soundtracks."

"Thank you." She sincerely and genuinely smiled.

"Now, in relation to that success, I wanted to release a mini-alb.u.m having 2 tracks from the movie."

"Hmm… interesting but how about the 3 remaining songs and especially the t.i.tle track?"

"That's why I called you. I have already called the production team to make the final demo version but I want you to listen to them."

"What if I say no?" Hyacinth is observing my reaction.

"I will ask for the reason. I want to hear you out as an artist. If your idea is better then we shall go for it."

"Really?! But Air…. I mean the former president is not like that."

"Which is why she's called the former, right? And if the fans noticed the redundancy of the songs, shouldn't we as the producer realize it as well?"

She smiled and nodded in agreement.

"If I may ask, who composed these songs? Every information is empty." She said.

"Well, I hope you will listen to the songs first before knowing."

"Why is that?"

"Because I want an honest and sincere opinion."

"Okay. I also want the same so shall we listen to the songs?"
