Gasps were heard from the people in the room and a horrified look was obvious on their faces with Lauren's senseless remark.

And just as she said this, Oliver had also arrived at the scene. The look on his face was a mixture of shock and annoyance. He could not believe that Samantha's husband was this old. Doesn't he look like a grandfather?

He thought that she married a man in his fifties since it was Daniel's father who was the CEO at the time that he left the country but the old man that he was seeing in the room was in his eighties!

Lauren saw the change in their expression and she was greatly satisfied with what she had achieved. People were paying attention to her and that was what she wanted.

Now she has the floor and she has the chance to make Samantha look bad. She did not care that she had to offend someone, not even this old man in front of her. She believed that her family was famous and well-respected, even if she had insulted someone, no one would dare cross a member of the w.a.n.g Family.

But Lauren was indeed very ignorant. What she did not know was that the Cho Family has a higher standing than the w.a.n.gs in the country. And that Grandfather Cho was someone whom she cannot afford to offend or else her family will greatly suffer.

Samantha and Hannah looked at each other and were perplexed by what she was saying. Did she think that Samantha's husband was Daniel Cho's grandfather?

Realizing that Lauren must have heard and learned the wrong information. She decided to play with her. So as subtle as she can, Samantha shook her head very lightly as she signaled Hannah not to utter a word. "Keep quiet " she whispered. She did that at the same time that she tried so hard to hold back her laughter. 'She wants to humiliate me? Let's see who has the last laugh,' she told herself.

Hannah's nose flared as she imagined Lauren's ignorance has reached the sky and she was now about to be d.a.m.ned. Like an obedient child, she zipped her mouth and waited for the ignorant's fall. All the while, she bit her own tongue as to not stifle a laugh.

Logan on the side lowered his head and his eyes flickered, he did not know how he was supposed to feel at the moment. He wanted to inform his boss about what was happening but at the same time, he was not sure what his reaction would be. Will he be mad? More importantly, which will make him madder? The part where his wife was called a gold digger… or the part where his grandfather was mistaken to be her husband?

He s.h.i.+vered at the thought, "Brrr… how cold," Logan could already feel that the temperature of the room dropping as if it was preparing the arrival of Yama.

But even with this in mind, he still decided to inform his big boss. Taking out his phone, he contemplated whether he should call or text. Deciding on the latter, he started tapping on his screen as he composed his message.

One loud gossiper could not help but exclaim, "Samantha is married to that man-" but her voice trailed off mid-sentence when the old man snapped his head to her.

Grandfather Cho shot a deathly stare to the woman who just exclaimed and she instantly choked on her words. 'How many idiots are in this room?' he sighed, he had honestly thought that the younger generation's brains must have been tampered with to be this stupid in courting death.

s.h.i.+fting his stare back to Lauren, he chided, "I dare you to say that again, you ill-mannered brat!"

Lauren sneered at his statement, "Old man, how dare you call me a brat?!" Turning her head to Samantha, "How could you allow your husband to speak like that to me, Bella?"

Samantha was enjoying the show, although she had wanted to calm the old man down, she wanted to see how this fool in the name of Lauren w.a.n.g would get what she deserves for being a spoiled brat. And besides, Grandfather Cho's heart is very strong — he even likes fast cars, doesn't he?

After taking a sip on her wine, Samantha just shrugged her shoulders as if she could not be bothered talking to her. She walked to the old man's side and the people watched her as she stood with her head held high.

Meanwhile, the two employees from the Cho Corporation were already starting to sweat. This woman must have got a loose screw to think that she can spite Elder Cho! The few others in the room who were aware of who Elder Cho is could only hold their breath, in fear that they might be included in his list of people to destroy if they joined in.

Grandfather Cho was appalled by the woman's behavior. He could not believe that there was such a person. "You cannot call anyone from the Cho Family with such an offensive word. I will give you one more chance. Take your words back and I will let you off."

"What if I say no? I refuse to take back the words that I have already said! I did not say anything wrong!" Lauren continued digging her own grave unknowingly.

"If you refuse… then, child... your family will have to suffer," he declared.

Lauren found it laughable that the old man was trying to taunt her. She had already believed that this man was either stingy or not as rich as their family, seeing that he did not even give Samantha an expensive bracelet.

Thinking that she had nothing to be afraid of, she had grown another level of courage. "I refuse!" she said in a confident manner. And the crowd looked at each other when they felt that what she had just said, became a ticket to h.e.l.l. Lauren was indeed in a hurry to meet the G.o.d of death.
