LEGEND OF THE GOLDEN TIGRESS 148 Wandering Alone

When Xing opened her eyes, she was in an unfamiliar place that was grey, cold and vacant. Everywhere she looked was desolate and gloomy. Xing was wondering where this might be and if she is dead.

Is this the underworld?

'Fine, let's have a look around', Xing decided and she took a step forward when a figure clad in shadow appeared in front of her making her startled.

"Well, well! What do we got here.. ? A beauty!", Xing looked at the source of the creepy voice and saw an attractive person wearing red and a long beard and there was a judge's hat on his head.

King Yan! G.o.d of death!

Xing saw the perverted look on that G.o.d and felt creeps all over her.

" Greetings! King Yan!", Xing grinned. "Nice place you got here. Could use a splash of colour though. Grey is not very pleasing to the eyes", she stabbed right in his wounds with her interior designing ideas. Everyone knows King Yan loves colours but as he is the king of the underworld, his place where sun won't s.h.i.+ne, doesn't permit colours.

That did nothing to change the perverted gaze of that G.o.d,unexpectedly.

"I was told not to send you to the afterlife and to return you to the land of the living. Now I know why...", he smiled cryptically and inched his face towards her and Xing stepped to the side avoiding him.

She remembered her master Yuan said something similar too. I'm not allowed to die? And why is King Yan creepy? Isn't he the one who judges sinners and isn't what he does now a sin? Oh, right.... Rules doesn't apply to him because he is the King here!

Seeing her avoiding him made King Yan mad. As a G.o.d who was kept in the shadows, he doesn't come around heavenly beauties that often. No one bothers to send him beauties and maidens and those other G.o.ds keep everything for themselves and only when they need him, they give orders. How dare they? This time it was a direct order from the Heavenly Emperor 'Send her back!, is all he said. No greetings or wishes or gifts! Just orders!

They want this beauty for themselves, Why? And Why is she reminding him of another person he used to know? Is she her descendant? Anyhow, I can't get her before but I can have a little fun with this one. Humans sometimes make the best beauties!

Xing looked at the creep and was contemplating how to get out of this situation. Isn't he supposed to send me back? Then why is he waiting?

"Beauty! Kiss me... I'll send you back immediately to the land of the living", he bit his lips and gave his best seductive glance.

Xing shuddered and all her hair stood on edge, 'What is this situation and why am I attracting trouble these days?'

"No thanks", Xing walked forward.

"How dare you dismiss me? Me, King Yan, G.o.d of Death? Stop now!", he shouted and Xing heard thunders rolling around her and a lightning fell right in front of her.

Oh, well! What could I do? Xing felt helpless. She was engulfed by a black mist and was unable to move.

I refuse to be used by someone! Xing tried to free herself but could not. And that's when the protection spell Fei Lian put in her forehead got activated and a bubble formed around her that dispersed the black mist.

"Fei Lian!", King Yan gritted his teeth, "How dare you!", he was furious and his entire body was trembling that made Xing nervous too.

What the heck is going on?

"You, Táng JiaXing! You will have no next life! And find your own way out of here!", King Yan shouted.

"I'm Huang Mingxia", Xing grinned knowing she is protected even here and he cannot do anything.

"Grrr!", he growled and disappeared leaving Xing alone in that desolate place.

Well! What if I cannot have another life? Only this life is enough for me to live with my Prince! I cannot kiss random people for these reasons! It's hara.s.sment, backmail! I'll get out of here somehow and report you to the Heavenly Emperor and get you punished! You deserve to be roasted alive in that big pot of oil, you sc.u.m! Xing cursed the G.o.d of death in her heart and walked straight to find an exit.

Xing thought she could escape this place but no matter how far she walked, nothing changed in there and everything and everywhere looked the same. She didn't know how long she was walking or how many days or months had pa.s.sed but she felt like she was walking in circles around the same path.

The entire place was cold and there was a trickling noise of water constantly heard and other than that there was nothing.

Xing even wished for some monsters to fight so that she'd have a change of situation but there was no one around there.

Months pa.s.sed and Xing's hope started to dwindle and she was disheartened to even take a step forward.

It's been so long.. Would my family still believe I'm not dead yet? Would they have buried me and my body would have rotten by now? Why didn't anyone come for me? Shengli, what ate you doing?

Xing was filled with all negative thoughts and she still tried to keep her hope of finding the way out of here and still kept walking.
