"Didn't you promise my brother that you'll only serve him as the Emperor?", Shengli spoke after a long pause, "Then it is good that you decided to stay inside the palace. You can stay by his side and make sure he is not expendable"

Xing who had almost forgotten the first promise she made to the Emperor got reminded of it by Shengli. But this is not the reason she had decided to stay here and there are a lot more.

Xing looked at her man looking at her with conviction and she could feel his love for her in his eyes and her heart warmed. This man here is talking about her staying here as if she is going for shopping. But isn't this more serious issue? Will he really let me do whatever I want without controlling me like other men would do to their women? Does he trust me this much? Is it because he loves me? Isn't this too much?

Shengli saw Xing looking at him with her usual googly eyes and he couldn't help but smile, 'It is enough for me to look at this beautiful eyes forever!'

" This is your last chance. If you want to be Emperor.."

"I won't be the Emperor", Shengli interjected Xing, "Remember, I will not let you stay here forever. This place is not for us. I will bring you out. You can stay here only until you finish doing what you must do", he placed his right hand on her left cheek and gently rubbed her cheeks.

Xing was really amazed by the man in front of her. His green eyes were holding deep emotions and he was looking at her like he had decided something for himself too. His arrogant declaration, 'I'll bring you out' made gooseb.u.mps appear on her out of excitement . She didn't know why she expected his approval that much or felt that she'll need him to get out of here but that sentence gave her such confidence and hope for the future.

Of course she didn't want Shengli to be Emperor too and she could never think of the Imperial Palace as her home. She was really glad that he had the same thoughts as her. Some times knowing that you have someone guarding your back will give you much strength that cannot be rivaled. And knowing that their life together can start after she finishes her duties here, gave her the fort.i.tude to move forward without any resentments or doubts.

I trust him! And I love him more!

"Okay, I'll hold you on this promise then", she smiled and his lips immediately met her lips and he kissed her.

Xing was surprised by his sudden attack. "What? Isn't this how you seal a deal?", he smirked and wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her more. Soon they could not let go of each other and Xing was pressed with her back on a tree and Shengli had no intention of letting her go as they both were kissing deeply. Shengli held her waist close to his and he slowly grinded his waist on her while kissing her neck and Xing could feel the hotness of his member pa.s.sing through his clothes on her.

"Chenglei..", she tried to bring him back to his senses but her voice came out as a seductive whisper by his hot caresses and her voice only provoked him more and his caresses intensified sucking Xing deep inside the vortex of pleasures.

The sound of an owl made Xing immediately get back to her senses.

"Master Yuan", she muttered and that snapped Shengli back to his senses.

What have I done? We almost did it in the middle of the mountain where the G.o.ds are watching us! Shengli tried hard to compose himself but seeing Xing chasing an owl made him feel disappointed too. Silly kitten!

Xing found the owl as she ran in the direction of the sound while fixing her clothes but she could not see her master. She really wanted to ask a lot of questions to him regarding everything but her master seemed to be hiding himself behind a spell and that p.i.s.sed her off.

If he didn't want to show himself, why disturb us? Stupid Master... Next time when I see you, I swear I'll slap you hard!

"I hope your b.a.l.l.s shrink to the size of a peanut and you end up heirless, Master Yuan! ", she screamed at the top of her lungs and she could see a branch of a tree snapped as if it could not hold the weight of someone.

"So you can hear me.." she sneered. How pathetic! Not able to face your disciple!

"Mark my words, show yourself to me now or when I find you, the first thing I'll do is slap you hard on your face, Master Yuan", Xing shouted again only to be met with silence.

Xing waited for a while but only the noises of the rustling trees was heard and she stomped her feet in frustration.

Shengli was a bit shocked by the weird curses coming out of Xing's mouth against her Master.

Where does she learn all these curses.?

He didn't like the way her master treated her as a child and he'd kill him for that one day. But she herself cannot talk to her master who taught her everything she knows this way right?

Then again, she is Xing! She can do whatever she wants! And her Master deserves a slap from her.

On their way back, both of them were happily chatting and Shengli noted her clothes were highly inappropriate for a Consort as it was all dirty and torn. If someone sees them entering the Emperor's courtyard like this, it will definitely cause rumours. Since she has to stay here for some more time, they cannot let that happen and Shengli reminded her of that.

Xing just looked around and saw a chest filled with clothes that fitted perfectly to her near a tree in the mountain. Xing felt the cloth to see they were the kind of fine silk G.o.ddesses would prefer to wear. She had been staying away from anything related to heavens the past few months but she decided to pick those clothes. She had asked Haru not to send her clothes anymore and other silk clothes in their kingdom sucks!

She should receive some sort of payment for acting according to the G.o.ds' wishes, right?

Xing found a hot spring nearby and decided to take a bath and Shengli decided to join her as if it was a normal thing to do. He still couldn't get used to how she could get everything she wants for from the mountains. But as the Emperor's favourite eunuch , he is privy to everything she is ent.i.tled to and he won't miss his chance to have a bath with her.

"What are you doing?", Xing asked raising her eyebrows while she was about to undress, even though his intentions were well written on his face.

"I'll help you wash your back", he grinned ear to ear.

"I have hands", she tried to stop him. Even though they had almost done 'it' and got naked in front of each other some times too, Xing felt bashful being stark naked in front of him in broad daylight. Her body had changed a lot on these few months too.

Shengli didn't mind at all and undressed right in front of her and proudly displayed his firm and fit body making Xing drool, literally. This was the first time she was seeing him in his birthday suit in a well-lit setting. She wiped her mouth with her sleeves.

How could there be such a perfect being in this human realm? Oh, Xing! You really did the right thing choosing him!

He was tall, lean and wasn't too muscular but he had very well defined muscles and that V-line...

Before she knew she was touching his well-defined adonis belt and giggling by herself.

That's when she noticed the b.u.t.terfly shaped birthmark just above his bell on the pole.

Before her hands went any lower, Shengli grabbed her hand and told her to undress and get in the water and he entered the water first.

Xing didn't know where her bashfullness from moments before went but she undressed in a hurry and entered the warm water. Shengli saw the l.u.s.tful gaze of her on him and realised that the predator have now become the prey and the hunter has now become the hunted.

Did I decide wrong?

Shengli decided to change her mind and told her to sit down so that he can wipe her back and she clicked her tongue at him, "Let ME scrub you", with her eyes focused on his crotch and hands ready to grab his lil' wonky making him sigh.

What kind of monster did I set free? Does she realise where we are at?

After much persuasion, he get her to keep her hands to herself and helped her scrub her back. She was obviously displeased by his refusal to let her touch him and was extremely silent,sulking.

Shengli saw the vermillion mark on her back that resembled a tattoo and gently kissed it. Isn't this the mark that is keeping her alive?

"Xing, do whatever you have to do and come back to me, okay? I'll wait for you however long it may take ", he whispered in her ear.

" Okay. But, What are you going to do till then?", she asked back. She knew he had plans but this guy never opens up unless he is forced to. So she asked.

" I'm going to join s.h.i.+hong's ", he was calm and collected while answering.
