Xing was in her room in the Scarlet Wolf and was brewing tea for Chenglei. He was still sleeping in her bed. The little window in the side let in some sunlight that fell perfectly on his face brightening up.

"Can you make a pit stop at the Water Kingdom? I want to see Yukiko if possible", she knew they are pa.s.sing through the Northern Sea and they will be close to the Water Kingdom soon. She wanted to meet her and ask about her. The recent letters she received from her had a sad undertone even though she only wrote happy words.

As Xing was busy picking up the wine for her travel, Ryuga glared at Chenglei, "You stole my woman", he snorted.

"Your woman?", Chenglei chuckled, " Did you have a dream? Get this... I'm going to marry her and don't even dream about her", his face still had a smile but it had a bone-chilling effect.

"You are someone who came late in her life. I've known her even when we were children and you can never beat that! ", Ryuga smirked.

Chenglei froze as he said that. She knows him for that long? She also said that he is a Lu descendant. So is Ryuga her Prince?

Seeing Chenglei's reaction Ryuga tried to stir the pot further. He deserves it for stealing his woman! He rationalised.

Chenglei who was in the brink of losing his emotional stability, had the sliver of sense left and he could see how Ryuga is trying to sneak out and he called him out.

"Ryuga was mentioning how you two spent time together as children..", Chenglei's wolf eyes were fixed in Xing and her reaction made him pleased.

"What? As children?", Xing really couldn't remember.

But then Ryuga asked her, "Táng Xing, do you remember Hana, the girl you used to play with when you were five years old?"

"Yes, I do", Xing smaked her fist into her palm and replied. "She was my first girl friend and my only girl friend for a long time... Now that I look at you.. She and you do look a bit similar. So, is she your sister? "

"No!", Ryuga's expression darkened seeing her reaction.

" So how come you two look similar?", she sank into deep thoughts.

"I am Hana", he waited for sometime for her to figure it out herself but in the end he had to spell it out for her.

"What...? Really? How did you become a man? Chenglei do you know? Hana and I we used to....."

Xing started reminiscing her last with Ryuga to Chenglei and he held back his laughter seeing the man who proclaimed that she was his woman now sitting with his face blackened.

In the end Xing left the portal city of the Water Kingdom without meeting Yukiko and in a few days they reached Falin Port.

From there, both took a horse and rode through the mountain and they reached the capital city within a day.

To her surprise, Chenglei had previously arranged for their stay in a luxurious Inn. They stayed the night there and after her bath the next morning , she saw a pretty purple and red dress on the bed for her to wear.

The expensive palace attire seemed excessive to wear for travel and as she was pondering, she saw Chenglie leaning on the wall staring at her with his eyes filled with gentleness .

"Wear it. We are attending court", he said.

"Court?", Xing was surprised.

Women cannot attend court, right?
