It was a hectic morning for Damon, he attended meetings for the entire morning. When lunch came he instructed his a.s.sistant to attend his remaining meetings as his representative. He knew Tom will handle those meetings excellently. "If Mr. Is.h.i.+da does not agree with our terms cancel our contract with them, tell them that we can replace them any time." Damon reviewed the papers needed for the meetings. "Tell Mr. Chen that he can f**k off, I don't a.s.sociate with greedy people. Who the h.e.l.l does he think he is, he is an idiot to try and deceive me by selling sub par materials." Damon tore Mr. Chen's proposal, he then crumpled the torn papers and threw it in the garbage bin. "Are you done buying the shares of Mrs. Wesley?"

"Yes, you are now the biggest shareholder and the new owner of West Trading Company." Tom answered in a monotonous tone.

Damon signed the last paper handed to him by the vice president of one of his businesses. "Then fire all the higher ups listed on this paper and promote the names written on the second paper, their new positions are also written beside their name." Damon looked at his watch, when he saw the time to be eleven a.m. he fixed his table and readies himself to leave the office. "Before I forgot, order Lance to meet with Mr. Vaughn tonight to seal our deal with them." Tom answered with a yes.

Walking on the corridor, every employee who saw him bowed their heads and scurry off to work. Tom who is very observant noticed his boss' changing mood. When they were in the office and at the meeting his boss was even more cold and more annoyed but now he is more relaxed and somewhat happy. If you never know his boss personally, one could never tell what is own his mind but if you knew him personally you will notice the changes in his emotions and right now he can see the spark of antic.i.p.ation and happiness in Damon's eyes. 'What can make his boss react this way? It is rare for him to see his boss this excited.'

Damon and Tom rode the elevator specifically a.s.signed for the CEO of the company, no one dares to use it for the fear of being scolded by Tom. Their boss is known for having a short fuse and for being ruthless to his enemies. Damon is strict but he is also a generous boss, he never forgets to reward outstanding employees that is why all his workers respects him. He treats every workers as a.s.sets and not slaves.

When the elevator stopped at the underground parking lot the two walked towards their car but before that Tom asked out of curiosity where will his boss go in such high spirit.

"To fetch my son." Tom who was expecting a different answer stood frozen on the spot. 'When and how did that happen?'

Seeing the petrified look of his a.s.sistant, Damon felt slightly annoyed, 'was it really that hard to believe that he can produce a child?' "It will be bad for us if you'll be late for the meetings."

Hearing the warning in Damon's voice, Tom hurriedly went to his car and within a minute he was speeding towards the location of the meeting.

Inside the Small World kindergarten, Ichigo was busy drawing a picture of his family. He was humming happily, 'now he can draw a picture of a father'. He was coloring Damon's hair when all of a sudden someone took his paper.

A group of boys was surrounding him. "Look at what we have here, Ichigo is drawing a happy family.What are you thinking dimwit you'll never have a complete family because my mom told me that your a b.a.s.t.a.r.d."

The boys laughed at what their leader said, "Yeah loser, no one wants you because your a wimp!" another boy said.

Hearing this insults everyday is becoming tedious. "Are you not tired of repeating the same insults everyday? Why don't you read books for a change to widen your vocabularies, oops! my bad I forgot that all of you can't read that well." Ichigo smirked when he saw their faces turned red from being embarra.s.sed.

The biggest boy in their cla.s.s and the leader of the bullies pushed him hard causing him to fall from his chair. Ichigo's bottom hit the floor hard, he winced when he felt the pain from his lower back.

Feeling satisfied at the hurt expression of Ichigo, the leader of the bullies smiled mockingly. "What's that wimp are you saying something?"

Standing up, Ichigo looked nonchalantly at his bullies. "It is a pity that you can't even comprehend - I mean understand the human language."

Other kids who were watching started giggling when they heard Ichigo's witty comeback. To hide their embarra.s.sment the bullies attacked Ichigo. Knowing the next actions of the bullies, Ichigo was prepared to defend from their attacks. He was blocking and avoiding punches and kicks that are thrown at him but because it was a three versus to one fight, Ichigo was overwhelmed. Some punches and kicks are hitting Ichigo, he tried to defend and counteract at the same time. His punches and kicks are slowing down the bullies attacks, but it was not enough to stop them from hitting him. After a minute or two of fighting the teachers came to break the fight.

"Why on earth are you fighting?" The head teacher asked them but no one dared to answer. "I contacted your parents, let us hear your reasons for fighting when they arrive." Calling one of the teachers they treated the cuts and bruise on each children.

"Ichigo what really happened? I know you did not start the fight." Ms. Walters was their homeroom teacher and she's the nicest teacher in school.

"Baron attacked first, I was drawing inside the cla.s.sroom when they interrupted me and they start insulting me. I just suggested that they read more books to widen their vocabulary and told them that they can't understand human language." Ms. Walters sighed, "you could have avoided the fight if you called for me, look at these cuts and bruises thankfully your cuts are only superficial but the bruises on your arms are bad."

Ichigo saw three bruises on his arms, then he looked over his cla.s.smates and he saw bruises on their faces. 'At least I didn't got hit on the face.'

The quiet office was disturbed when a group of women entered abruptly. Each women run towards their son inspecting every cut and bruise. Seeing the sorry state of their kids the women begun to complain angrily.

A fat woman who is full of jewelries was scolding the head master. "What kind of school is this! How can you allow a b.a.s.t.a.r.d hurt my son! Do you know how much money our family donated for the school?!" The head teacher who was intimated stood frozen on the spot. "Where is that b.a.s.t.a.r.d kid?!" the fuming lady turns out to be Baron's mother. "There you are, come here kid and let me punish you!"

Ms. Walters who was beside Ichigo moved forward to protect him. "Mrs. Wesley don't be too harsh with the kid in the first place Ichigo did not start the fight."

Mrs. Wesley slapped Ms. Walters so hard causing a cut on her lip. "Are you implying that my son started the fight! Ha! looked at my son's face it's full of cuts and bruises!" Mrs. Wesley glared at Ichigo, she was about to pull Ichigo away from Ms. Walters when a booming voice stopped her.

At the doorway stand an intimidating man. "What do you think your doing?" Damon's thunderous voice made Mrs. Wesley step back away from Ichigo. Damon saw Mrs. Wesley tried to pull a child away from the teacher and he interrupted her just in time, if he did not stopped her, Mrs. Wesley will surely hit the child and that doesn't sit well with him, he despise adults abusing children.

Taken aback, Mrs. Wesley was surprised to see Damon. She knows that he has no kid so why is he here? Is he here for business? "Mr. Gray what brought you here?"

Damon looked at the woman with insignificance, "Are you my keeper to asked such question?"

Clenching her hands, she swallowed her retort. "I was just surprised to see you here at my son's school." She faked a laugh. If it were not for his influence and money she will never act nice in front of him.

Damon ignored Mrs. Wesley and asked the head teacher if it is alright to fetch his son early. Hearing a juicy news, Mrs. Wesley carefully listened to their conversation. 'What do we have here, The Damon Gray has a secret son'. Mrs. Wesley can almost picture herself swimming in a pool of money when the moment she reveal this secret to the media. 'She can find out later who his son is but now she must teach the b.a.s.t.a.r.d a lesson for hurting his precious son.' She again walked towards Ms. Walters and the kid behind her.

"If you don't step away from that evil child this will be your last day in school and be rest a.s.sured no school will ever hire you again." Mrs. Wesley spoke with authority. Everyone working at the school knows that the Wesley family was their biggest benefactor, they are the law so no one dares to question their authority, even the owner of the school is afraid of them.

Seeing that Ms. Walters is firm in protecting the child, Mrs. Wesley tried to pull Ichigo away from her. She was able to grabbed Ichigo's hand, she was about to pull the kid when all of a sudden she was thrown off. She hit a couple of chairs before she fell hard on the floor. Confused at what happened, she looked at the direction of the kid and saw Damon hugging the b.a.s.t.a.r.d. Her eyes popped out from their socket, 'what's the meaning of this? don't tell me that b.a.s.t.a.r.d is his son?!'

The two mother's helped Mrs. Wesley to stand up, both are complaining and scolding Damon for his rude actions. They were trying to intimidate Damon by calling their husbands and informing them of the situation. But they were just scolded by their husbands telling them to shut up and hurry home. The two clueless women looked at Damon who was talking on the phone, 'who exactly is this man?'

"Tom are you done talking to Mr. Henney and Mr. Tan, did you tell them that their wife and children dare to bully and hurt my son." When Damon heard from his a.s.sistant how the two CEO's apologize profusely and begged him to spare their family he looked at the two foolish women gawking at him. "Tell them that I'll consider their apology if they give me forty percent of their annual income." When he heard the 'okay' from his secretary he hung the phone. He glared at those foolish women who are trembling in fear, "You are quite lucky that I'm merciful today but if you or your son tries to hurt Ichigo again I'll definitely crush your family, am I being clear?" The women nod vigorously, not wanting to side with Mrs. Wesley they dragged their kids away.

Feeling the ominous aura of Damon, Mrs. Wesley cower in fear. "I hear you want to teach my son a lesson." Damon was fuming mad, when he saw the cuts and bruises on Ichigo he felt murderous.

"His.... dad....your....son." Mrs. Wesley never fear anyone, she was arrogant to think no one can harm her but she was proven wrong. Making Damon an enemy is a foolish thing to do, now she knows the feeling of being at the mercy of your executioner. She was apologizing incoherently, her arrogant and proud aura was replaced by a bawling mess. Mrs. Wesley was on her knees begging for forgiveness and mercy.

Damon looked unaffected, he never shows mercy to those who hurt his family. They deserve to suffer and experience a much worse punishment. Feeling someone tugged his sleeves, Damon looked down to see his son. Seeing the cuts on his face, Damon kneels to inspect other injuries Ichigo might have.

"Does this hurt?" Damon asked while gently touching the bruise on his left arm.

"A little but it will go away once mommy kiss them." Ichigo smiled with a.s.surance, he was confident that once his mom kiss all his injuries the pain will go away. "Dad I am also to blame, if I did not provoke them there will be no fight so please accept their apologies." Ichigo doesn't want his dad to be the bad guy, he already forgave his cla.s.smates and his also satisfied that he managed to beat them, that was enough for him as their punishment.

"But they went too far." Damon looked at Mrs. Wesley and her kid still on their knees apologizing.

Ichigo scratched his head, 'how will he convince his dad to accept their apology?'. "Mom told me to never hold grudges and take revenge cause it will only hurt us more and the people around us, dad do you want to oppose mom? If she found out that we disregard her advice she will be extremely sad and she'll treat us coldly, I don't want mom to be angry with us." Ichigo looked at his dad with a sad face.

Contemplating about what Ichigo said, he sighed in agreement. "That's enough, I'll let this one slide and accept your apology. Be thankful to my son otherwise I'll kick your husband as the current CEO of West Trading Company. If you ever hurt my son again bare this in mind that I now own your company, if you want to keep your status act nice from now on."

The mother and son thanked Ichigo and Damon profusely, they promise to reflect on this incident and polish their att.i.tudes.

Damon was reluctant to let the mother and son go unscathed but he doesn't want to be on Hestia's bad side. Feeling the throbbing in his head he ma.s.saged his temples, 'he felt like he is in a soap opera, he experienced one dramatic scene to another in just a day, now he felt like this will be a regular occurence in his life.'
