Angela: W-W-Wait! We can offer you far more than this kingdom. The Slane Theocracy is greater in every aspect over the kingdom, no matter what they are paying you we can pay it thrice over.

Well, no matter how YOU look at it, I have the upper hand in this, so...

Dabilosi: They aren't paying me. I just enjoy protecting people, and if every aspect of the Theocracy is greater, that should include security, meaning there is less need for me to be there.

Angela: If you do not come with us you will be declared an enemy of the Slane Theocracy. We do not wish it to come to that as it will likely cause large casualties on our side as well, so please reconsider.

Dabilosi: Alright then, explain to me what benefits I will gain. In this country I have saved a man in the higher echelons. I am respected for my strength and even trusted by the king to protect his daughter. I don't even have to answer to anyone but said king. What can I get in the Slane Theocracy that can counterbalance all of that? Even after that, I am a man of my word and I said that I would protect the princess so I shall. If you have no answer, get out of my sight.

???: I am Senefi, also of the Clearwater Scripture. What we offer in return for your allegiance is a position as a member of the black scripture, the strongest group of individuals in the Theocracy. I believe that even with your strength there are still at least two individuals who could challenge you and it is said that people of your level desire just that.

Dabilosi: Oh? But then wouldn't that be a reason not to go? You have already said that in the case of my declining you I will be declared an enemy to be exterminated. How can I be sure that this is not a trap? I have gleaned a lot of information from a man I took from the sunlight scripture, and I cannot be sure you would not resort to such means.

Angela: I a.s.sure you this will not happen, we will stake our lives on it.

Dabilosi: Good, because I was going to take you hostage anyway. It's not much insurance since you are quite obviously expendable, but it won't be insignificant considering they were willing to use tier 5 magic on you. [Boost Magic: Sleep]

Just using boost magic so I can guarantee they can't resist it. Also they can't speak anymore so I'm finally able to have quiet. But...

Dabilosi: I can see it you know. I can feel you watching. I didn't mind it particularly the first time because you had a right to know how your subordinate died, and I will admit it's a handy magic. But I don't want it here right now. I'll visit soon... Break.

As I do that I activate my pa.s.sive skill which prevents detection below eighth tier. Being a control freak means to be in control of everything. I am glad about that now. I also think I came off as pretty amazing so now I'm alone I can grin ear to ear. A bit weird but I don't really care. I owned that. I tie Angela up and stow her away in my wardrobe before rus.h.i.+ng out the room dragging Senefi across the floor. I may seem like a criminal, but I a.s.sure you there is no ulterior motive behind my actions. None. I waltz in on the king, dump my package and leave. Confusion was the only thing I could see on his face.

Later on I decide to go out into the city without my mask or informing Xygat. Why, you might ask? It will let me keep at least some influence in the kingdom even after I move to the Slane Theocracy. I will be joining them, because from what I can gather I would seriously boost morale in the country and as such they'll a.s.sign great vale to me and it won't be too difficult to leave the kingdom. I can just say there's more turmoil in the Theocracy and leave Xygat behind in my place... Actually if I do that I'll have to take another protector from Nazarick. CZ is my top choice at the moment, since she's one of the only residents of Nazarick that has good karma and I'm not too comfortable around Yuri so....

First off I go to a blacksmith and enchant a few items randomly. I don't know whether he was shocked at my enchantments or my looks but before he can say anything I leave.

Second is the Adventurer's guild. Slightly more difficult.

???: Hi... My name is Lunelle, how can I help you Mr....?

d.a.m.n customer service. I know it's their job but it is SO annoying. This lady has a nice rack but other than that, not much going for her. I might just be drunk off the perfect appearances at Nazarick and the good looks at the castle though.

Dabilosi: I'd like to apply for an adamant.i.te rank.

Lunelle: I-I'm really sorry mister, you can't do that unless you have a mythril plate. Uhm, can I help you with anything else?

Well that was ambiguous. She seems to still be taking her job very seriously though so I shouldn't tease her.

Dabilosi: I can cast 4th tier magic and that's second to my swordsmans.h.i.+p so if that doesn't make me qualify I don't know what will. I can demonstrate right here and now if needs be.

Lunelle: Well. In that case, could you please follow me out to the training yard?

I can't help but wonder whether that's really where she wants to go. But it's easy to make people do stuff when they're like that, so I'm not going to complain. Anyway I show off and the guildmaster gives me my plate. Now I have a place to stay and a job to go back to if I ever return here. Last but not least I blow up a drug den because... I can. Also that sh*t is nasty and the less people addicted the better, I'm not stupid enough to think that's the only one in the city but every little helps.

For the record I made sure no-one died.

Anyway, I make my way back to the castle and find Xygat being given a medal for his service. I guess there are a few more tier 3 fire mages in the capital now. It's only been a few days so I really do wonder what his teaching method is. What do I do? I walk in on him. Because this is important and I want everyone to know. Actually it's really embarra.s.sing, so I'm going to make it quick.

Dabilosi: Oi Oji-san, I'm moving to the slane theocracy because I got a contract there, it's in the middle of a war so... You understand I hope. I might be back if things fall through. Also Ryker, you can stay here, I've sorted out our arrangement already. I will attempt to respond to anything you need me to do but no guarantees.

Xygat: Okay. Princess safe.

Nothing could be more awkward than this. Everyone just staring at me... I guess this is how you know you should leave an area immediately.

I don't know which way it is to get there... Back inside I go.

Dabilosi: Does anyone have a compa.s.s I could borrow?

???: GET OUT!

Actually it isn't necessary since I'm visiting Nazarick first anyway... Huh, oh well.

A pretty uneventful journey... A basilisk and a few ogres but nothing terrible. It seems like my arrival is a surprise, since I'm not being welcomed with a ma.s.sive fanfare and salutation. As soon as I get inside I activate the ring of Ainz Ooal Gown and teleport to my room. It's floor s.p.a.ce is quite small, even compared to the NPC's rooms. But that's because most of the room is covered in memoirs and the essentials. A ma.s.sive canopied bed, trophy items from practically every boss Ainz Ooal Gown collectively killed, a desk with a computer and tune-pod on, and an Infinity Vault . I got it from raiding a guild called Sis'ka Dragon and it can hold an infinite amount even though it's physical size is quite small. This was very useful when raiding the other bases. Of course, even if I wasn't going for a big room I wasn't just going to do shoddy work, so I spent as much as necessary to get the softest mattresses, smoothest drapes and even sandalwood bedposts with ebony floors. These were possibly the most expensive as in the real world seeing wood of any kind is something only the truly rich can do. Touch-me apparently owned a palm tree but I never actually got confirmation from him.

I jump on my bed and just lie there in perfect comfort. Nothing beats just lying in bed honestly. Except... Playing on the computer now. I set it's description to 'charged with thunder magic somehow. It is impossible to work out how it functions and yet can play any game from the early 21st century'. The tune pod can also only play early 21st century music because I was obsessed with meme culture for about 5 years. So. I look through the list and see a set of 6 games t.i.tled ci*ili*ation. So I play the fifth installment as it looks like it has no relation to the other 5 and superior in every way. However after nuking 'Amsterdam' someone interrupts me by barging into my room. Excuse me? Ah, it's one of the Evans twins. I made this set of level 10 NPCs to clean the rooms, yell random dead memes and generally be annoying. Luckily for the rest of Nazarick my area is located in a separate s.p.a.ce with the only entrance being a secret area in the center of floor 8, and the Evans don't know where the exit is. One of them is slightly more bearable than the other.

Cody: WA! DABILOSI ON DA HATERS IT'S MY MAN!

Dabilosi: h.e.l.lo Cody. Could you not barge into my room?

Cody: I could, but I'm supposed to clean in here so that's what I'm gonna do-desuwa!

Dabilosi: I'm the one who told you to do that and now I'm asking you to make sure there's no-one in here before you do. What if I was doing something Illicit?

Cody: Fair point-dattebayo. I'll go and tell THE MAN THE MYTH THE FAILURE, Evans 2.

Dabilosi: You were born at the same time.

Cody: Yes but I'm older than him. I KNOWLEDGE more than that scrub.

Dabilosi: Take your time by all means.

Cody: What're the odds?

Dabilosi: Wh-

Cody: There are no odds.

Dabilosi: GO!

Cody: Right, bye. Next time I might actually use 0.23% of my power. Giggity giggity gone.

WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN! Anyway, like I was saying-

Ethan: Ohhh yeahhh. This is not the krusty krab, this is John Cena! Who wants to build a wall? Who wants to build a social healthcare service that r*pes everyone's pockets and name it after a president? WHO WANTS TO ---------------------------------------------------------------

Ethan: Big bad, such ow, much pa.s.sword, so dead.

Dabilosi: Could you please just come back when I've sorted out what I'm doing?

Ethan: Ok.

Cody: Aw. I still had 3.141592 more mems for your snek to monch on.

Dabilosi: Leave!

After that little fiasco I think I'm more than ready to face whatever Demiurge throws at me. Any hara.s.sment is better than THAT.

Dabilosi: [Message - Albedo] I'm back. I just wanted to tell you it's highly probable that the Slane Theocracy can use 9th or even 10th tier magic as it's trump card, so there might even be a power in this world that can use super tier magic. Also, unless she is otherwise occupied, I'm going to be taking s.h.i.+zu (CZ2128) with me on a trip to the slane theocracy, as she is one of the few denizens of Nazarick with a positive karma and Xygat is staying in kingdom.

Albedo: [Message - Dabilosi] He left you to travel alone?!

Dabilosi: [Message - Albedo] It's really not as bad as you think, I highly doubt the powerful monsters in the world will just appear in front of me during a short trip, but I'm taking s.h.i.+zu with me on this next trip anyway and you can tell her to be as vigilant or lax as you like.

Probably going to regret saying that.

Albedo: [Message - Dabilosi] Very well, but I would hope that you do not do this again Lord Dabilosi.

Dabilosi: [Message - Albedo] I'll do it only if necessary. Where is s.h.i.+zu right now?

Albedo: [Message - Dabilosi] She is with Shalltear on the second floor Lord Dabilosi.

Well then. That escalated quickly. Ah well, best to get it over with. And hope nothing happens. Just to distract my mind from my imminent crisis, I think VERY hard about how the second floor looks. As I get closer to my destination I realize this is a bad idea, but for the most part it's rather beautiful. Intricate carvings cover every wall of this labyrinth-like floor, and on the outside the black capsule looks completely fine. Out of place, but fine. The chapel looks the best though. If you can actually see inside it you will find the entire thing is a ma.s.sive mural depicting a fight between G.o.ds and demons. We spent so much time on it that every single movement fits perfectly with the actions of any others near it. Ulbert-san, LuciFer-san and I worked for the longest time on this. It is most certainly the piece I am most proud of, aside from my NPCs.

The Grave Vault of Adipocere. If you know what adipocere is, you know that just the name is enough to suggest it is disgusting in there. Sounds I would rather not describe can be heard from the moment of entry.But thankfully only from the left wing. Thus I decisively go to the right.

I am very glad that my quarry wasn't too far in, and I found her, along with Lupusregina and Entoma talking to Shalltear about... Me. Well this is awkward. I'll just walk in and hope for the best as usual.

Dabilosi: Whoops! Looks like I turned up in the wrong place.

Shalltear: Aah! Lord Dabilosi! We were just talking about you... Do you want to know what we were saying?

Dabilosi: I can't honestly say I'm not curious Shalltear, but I'm going on another trip and just came by to collect s.h.i.+zu to be my 'protector' since Albedo is being overprotective. By the way you're looking great today, did you do something differently?

She is in fact wearing a different coloured dress today and there's a slightly different scent today so...

Shalltear: You noticed? Thank you Lord Dabilosi! It's a shame you can't stay longer... And s.h.i.+zu, remember what I saaid.
