"I am fine" Emma answers as she begins to walk faster.
"Sorry, Emma..." said Jennifer as she tries to catch up to Emma.
"Slow down, please. You are gonna get hurt" adds Jennifer as she tries to grab Emma by her arm.
"So what?" Emma answers, annoyed. "What will more pain do?" she adds, as her eyes become watery.
"I... I" Jennifer begins answering.
Emma suddenly turns around.
"WHAT!?" she shouts, breaking down into tears.
Everyone around them stops, looking at both Emma and Jennifer.
Emma collapses down to the ground as she begins to sob harder and harder. Jennifer stands still for a moment before kneeling down beside Emma, giving her a hug.
"Hush honey, hush," she tells Emma, patting her head softly as they sway from side to side.
Suddenly a middle-aged woman kneels by Jennifer and Emma, people slowly began to walk past them.
"Are you okay dear?" asks the woman.
Emma lifts her head slowly from Jennifer's shoulder and she begins to turn her head to her left, tears rolling down her face.
She begins to bit her lip as she looks the woman into her eyes.
Moments pa.s.s, moments that Emma tried to get herself together to try and answer the woman.
She managed to say a simple "no" before breaking down again into tears, she takes her eyes off the woman, looking down at the ground, sobbing. Her hair covers her face as tears fall down to the floor.
"Don't cry sweetie," says the woman as she moves closer to Emma.
"Tell me what is wrong," the woman tells Emma as she bends her head down to see her face, she moves a strand of hair, uncovering Emmas' beautiful face.
"It's about a boy" Jennifer answers for Emma, whispering over to the woman.
The woman looks down at Emma with a sympathetic look in her eyes.
"Over a boy?" she asks Emma, gently, her voice had a touch of sadness mixed with a feeling of sorrow and regret.
At first, Emma looked up at her and looked at her in the eyes. Moments of silence pa.s.s before Emma bites her lip as she gives a slight nod causing her to cry again.
"Hush..." said the woman as she took Emma into her arms, "don't cry, that is not a reason to cry," says the woman. "You know, I have a daughter," she tells Emma, "she was the exact same as you" she adds, smiling as she looked at Emma. "4 different boys broke her heart, but the fifth one was the one for her." She added again as she quickly glanced at Jennifer.
"Thankfully they are now happily married, and I am a grandparent to one precious girl, while another one is on its way," she adds again, this time Emma looked up at her.
"What I am trying to say is that... boys can sometimes be bad, and stupid. Not trying to offend anyone, it's just the truth... or at least the way I see it" said the woman to both Jennifer and Emma.
"True" added Jennifer, smiling at Emma.
"But the best thing is that you will always find a better one, just like my daughter. Took her five guys to find the perfect one, that one being the fifth one." The woman tells Emma, relieved to see her calming down.
"Yes, I totally agree with you," Jennifer said to the woman, smiling back at her.
"See Emma, you don't need Tom, you can be happy and live without him, we can live without him," Jennifer tells Emma, as she rests her head on Jennifer's left shoulder.
Finally, Emma cleared her throat, "the..." she begins.
"Yes Emma?" asks Jennifer, "tell us" adds the woman.
"The way you said it, Jennifer..." she begins, as her eyes become watery again. "You made it sound so easy..." Emma finishes off her sentence as she breaks down into tears again, resting her head on Jennifer's left shoulder again.
The woman gives Emma a sympathetic look, "I am so sorry that this is happening to you" says the woman, rubbing Emma's back.
"But you will get over it, I promise," she adds, giving Emma a smile as she stands up.
"I am so sorry, but I have to go now, and remember... don't let the handsomeness fool you" adds the woman as she looks at both Jennifer and Emma.
"Thank you so much," Jennifer told the woman as she began walking by them.
"Okay, now...we need to go now, I need to get you home..." Jennifer told Emma as she tries to pull Emma up to her feet.
"Come on Emma," she said gently, seeing Emma trying to attempt to stand up.
When she did, they continued their way towards the exit of the hospital, with Jennifer carrying Emma's stuff.
Finally when they both reach the exit and when they reached Jennifer's car, Jennifer first aided Emma to get into the car before placing her items in the trunk of the car.
It was a bitter day in the month of March, snow was still on the ground, slowly melting away.
"This place makes me remember so many things, gives me so many memories... this place was the first time I kissed someone, the first time I danced without caring what others think," Emma commented as Jennifer started up the engine of the car and began driving.
"We need to forget, or at least cover him up," Jennifer said, smiling.
"What do you mean... how?" asked Emma, giving Jennifer a confused look.
"We can cover him up by making new memories, happy memories," says Jennifer.
Emma tries to give Jennifer a rea.s.suring smile, she tries to force a smile, but as soon as she smiles, tears run down her face.
"Sorry" Emma quickly mutters, wiping her tears.
"Don't worry, smile! We will get over it, together," Jennifer rea.s.sures Emma as they drive down the busy street.
Emma leans on the door, looking through the window, seeing people walking down the street. Most of them holding hands, smiling, being happy... hugging... kissing.
Jennifer glances at Emma for a second before looking back at the road.
"I know exactly how you feel Emms, trust me," she tells Emma, "by the way, you don't mind me calling you Emms, right?" she adds.
"No" answers Emma, smiling slightly, "I actually like it..." she adds.
A moment of silence pa.s.ses.
"Love can hurt like a b.i.t.c.h, I know" Jennifer adds.
"I cannot tell you what I exactly feel, I feel betrayed... I feel like my heart has been ripped out, like he ripped my heart out," Emma told Jennifer as she looks out the window with tears rolling slowly down her face.
"We will get over it Emma, just breathe... and relax, forget about him, don't think about him. I know it is hard, but try, try to forget about him," Jennifer told Emma, giving her a smile as she saw Emma looking at her.
Suddenly...
"Jennifer!? Car!!" Emma roared.
Jennifer immediately looked back at the road, frightened as she presses the breaks down hard, causing both of their bodies to speed forward towards the dashboard. This caused Jennifer to jerk the steering wheel left and right, resulting in the car swaying left and right.
But it is too late, Jennifer's car crashes into another car, the crash causes both Emma's and Jennifer's heads to slam the dash board of the car. Smoke begins to rise from the wheels and the front of the car, as drivers from other vehicles approach the car where Emma and Jennifer are seated in. Not moving a single limb.
