After discussing and signing the papers to Mimi's apartment, the landlady handed Alec the keys before leaving to go show a house to another buyer.
"I still think we could have pulled it off as an adorable couple," Mimi giggles her hands behind her dark red dress.
Laughing at the child's obvious teasing manner, Alec shakes his head with amus.e.m.e.nt.
"Sorry to burst it to you but I've already lost the majority of my dignity by following the orders of a child. I'm not about to neglect the rest of it for being mistaken as an insane pedophile."
"You're right, I'm too young to enter a crucial relations.h.i.+p yet!" Smirking up at the teenage boy in front of her she twirls her dress before examining her new apartment complex.
It was a modest one bedroom apartment with white walls and tile wood floors. The kitchen was in a far corner of the room near the living room. It contained one bathroom with a bath and built-in shower.
The bedroom was small and could possibly fit a twin bed and one dresser anymore and the room would be cramped.
Despite being ridiculously small for an adult to live in, it was the perfect structure for a little girl like Mimi to get accustomed to.
"The furniture will arrive in twenty minutes," Mimi glances at the phone in hand before glancing up at her brother with a mischievous glint in her eyes."So while I'm arranging my escape at the Hirogori's and collecting my items, big brother what I need you to do is move the furniture in!"
Alec's thin lips twitch slightly to the little girl's words. Looking down at her in a kind begging manner he shows off his s.h.i.+ning pearly teeth and smile.
"Don't you have the movers for that?" He ushers for her to allow mercy on his unfortunate soul.
"I would big brother," Mimi pouts innocently. "But I'm on a budget, now with my modern apartment every cent counts!"
On a budget my a.s.s! The little brat could magically obtain money out of midair with her computer and business skills!
Before Alec could voice his complaints, the sound of a car honking sounded from downstairs, Mimi turns towards the door before turning around to look at the helpless Alec.
"That's my ride, good luck big brother! Remember to set up the furniture by the instructions on the counter!"
Whirling her dress, the little girl's figure vanishes from sight leaving the dumbfounded Alec all by himself to unload furniture.
....
As Mimi arrives at the entrance of the mansion, she comes face to face with her eldest half-brother Kenji and a group of businessmen in the living room.
The sound of the door opening causes all the men's eyes to turn towards the little girl.
Placing on a shy startled demeanor, Mimi walks towards the set of stairs at a quick pace as if she wanted to escape the stares she was receiving.
In all honesty, she absolutely didn't want to be in the same room with a bunch of boring men.
"Mimi, do you mind coming here a minute?" Kenji's voice causes Mimi to halt in place.
Grumbling inwardly, Mimi slowly twirls around with a virtuous smile.
"Yes, eldest brother?" Mimi tilts her head to the side with her hand on the stair railing.
"Come here," Kenji's deep voice demands from across the room.
She immensely couldn't help but compare this brother of hers with her demon father. They were two peas in a pod.
It was uncanny.
Sighing on the inside, Mimi hops towards the group of men. Hands behind the skirt of her dress, she looks up at her brother with a smile.
Neglecting the girls smiles, her brother hand motions her forward and jabs his slender finger at a row of papers laid out on a table.
"What do you think of these?" He asks his expression unreadable.
The group of men looks at Kenji with disbelief.
Why would he want this little girl to look at these project concepts?
They were obviously incredibly difficult for such a young girl to understand. Then again she was a Hirogori.
Little did these men know how the Hirogori family viewed Mimi. Walking towards the table with the row of papers, Mimi sneers inside at her brother's future projects.
Most of them were trash, one of them didn't seem half bad as it included a well-thought concept but was clearly unsuitable for a final investment and needed a few adjustments.
Her brother was in real need of better workers.
However, even with these thoughts, Mimi didn't voice them out.
She directly stared at them admiring them close up as if she was focusing really intently before sighing and delivering her brother with a complicated look.
"Brother I'm just a kid, how could I possibly know what any of this means?" Mimi whines. "Can I go to my room now?"
Staring bitterly at the little girl before him, Kenji experienced nothing but shame and disappointment. Why did he even bother trying? Motioning his hand for Mimi to leave, the little girl walks away from the group of men.
A few of the men snicker at Mimi's lack of intelligence and some turn pity towards Kenji. With Mimi's back to them, they couldn't see the wicked smile on her face as she made her way upstairs to her bedroom.
Entering her s.p.a.cious room, Mimi takes out a red suitcase from under her bed.
Opening the suitcase which was already filled with clothes and a few objects, Mimi walks towards her dresser to take out a picture frame. Looking at the photo in hand, complicated emotions swarmed Mimi's heart.
Had her sister really not told her about her plans to betray the Hirogori family?
Did she have her reasons or did she simply not rely on her?
Ever since Mimi overheard, her family's conversation over the matter, Mimi's felt confused about so many things.
No matter the reason, Mimi's couldn't help but feel hurt by her sister's obvious betrayal.
She had never experienced such pain in her heart before, but whatever it was she didn't enjoy it in the slightest.
Loving people really was agonizingly painful. Shoving the photo into her suitcase, Mimi grabs a few more items before closing it.
Observing the room Mimi spent her whole life trapped, in finally empty without a trace of her possessions a smile curled up on her lips.
Goodbye, Hirogori's.
