Mimi watched Tobias enter the car and giggled. "All right."
He nodded his head and launched the car to drive out of the hospital parking lot. Mimi leaned against her seat and gazed out at the moving scenery.
While driving, Tobias would occasionally steal glances at the girl. Mimi noticed his stares, the corner of her lips twitching.
"Toby is my face so beautiful that you keep stealing glances at me or what?" She fluttered her lashes at him with a bashful expression.
He didn't shy away from her teasing stare and said, "Are you sure you'll be fine while I'm gone?"
Mimi blinked her eyes as if confused.
"Why wouldn't I be?"
Tobias paused for a while and hesitated before saying, "…Your eye, what if it hurts again?"
Mimi was astonished by his poor excuse and laughed softly, "I told you already not to worry about that, it doesn't hurt anymore. You heard the doctor, he said I was perfectly healthy!"
Tobias pursed his lips and s.h.i.+fted his gaze upfront. The car was silent for a while, neither speaking.
Finally, Tobias opened his mouth to ask, "What will you do while I'm working?"
It was the weekend, so she didn't have online schoolwork nor did she need to attend to her company. Mimi worked hard for so many days that she finally caught up with both her company work and her schoolwork.
Watching this on the side, Tobias felt pleased with her work.
Mimi tilted her head and hummed thoughtfully.
"I saw there was some leftover French toast in the fridge. I might eat that and catch up on some adult films." She answered truthfully.
Tobias: "..."
The two no longer said anything further to each other as Tobias stopped asking questions. However, his brows couldn't help but wrinkle.
Should a girl her age be watching such films?
Tobias knew Mimi possessed perverted tendencies, but he never thought she indulged in watching erotic films. He clenched his jaw with a displeased expression. He needed to manage the videos she watched and block some sites from her.
With this thought in mind, the crease in his brows eased. The two continued the drive in silence, Mimi, completely unaware that her erotic film binging days were coming to an end.
…
After dropping Mimi off, Tobias drove directly to his company. Upon arriving, he walked toward the front and entered, only to identify a familiar young woman standing on the side, her head bowed down to scribble something in her notebook.
Perceiving the sound of footsteps, she raised her head, a look of shock flitted across her eyes.
"Mr. Itou." She bowed her head respectfully.
Tobias greeted with a nod, "Ms. Tong,"
The young woman by the name of Ms. Tong walked up to Tobias, her lengthy, wheat-colored hair fluttering behind her. Her dark, doe eyes looked up at Tobias with respect, her pink full lips curved gently.
She offered in a kind tone, "I see Mr. Itou has just arrived as well. Would you like to go up together?"
Tobias nodded calmly, "All right."
Since they were both going to today's meeting it was only reasonable for them to go up together.
Ms. Tong paused for a moment, she was surprised to hear him agree and was lost for words. It was only until she heard his distancing footsteps, did she realize he was already walking toward the elevator.
With a slight smile on her face, she rushed to catch up to him.
People had always said Tobias Itou was a brute and cold-hearted businessman who ignored women, hardly ever coming in contact with them.
But to her, the Tobias Itou everyone spoke about was nowhere to be seen. He was a hardworking, thoughtful and pa.s.sionate businessman.
He wasn't at all like the rumors said!
When the two arrived at the top floor, they entered a room and initiated the conference. Throughout the meeting, Tobias leaned back in his seat and listened intently to the speaker.

Ms. Tong, who sat a few seats away was also listening attentively and earnestly took notes while he spoke.
This business deal was a huge deal to her. She didn't dare slack off!
Tobias noted her actions and enthusiastic expression. He curved his lips in approval. When the meeting was adjourned, Tobias stood up, complimented the young man who hosted his presentation and shook hands with the other board members.
Tobias walked out of the room and happened to notice Ms. Tong sitting in the hall with her head in her notebook, a solemn yet quiet expression on her face. He pa.s.sed by and turned toward the woman.
"Good work today, Ms. Tong."
"Huh?"
Ms. Tong elevated her head and widened her eyes slightly in surprise. She quickly stood up, both flattered and shocked, she said, "You too, Mr. Itou! Thank you for your hard work and for taking care of the project!"
Tobias quietly nodded before turning away, his a.s.sistant Juno reciting to him his schedule. Ms. Tong watched his departing back and clutched her notebook tightly to her chest.
She found her heart was behaving rather strangely when she was around the man.
Tobias Itou wasn't like what the rumors said. He was rather…charming.
…
In Tobias's office.
"Where is it?" Tobias's former emotionless and courteous tone evaporated, lowering a few degrees.
Juno handed the man a tablet and pushed up the bridge of his gla.s.ses, "It was sent this morning, I tried to track the ID of the owner but was unable to collect anything."
Tobias coldly nodded. He didn't bother asking why Juno didn't convey this information to him sooner because he had already informed him of his matters with Mimi that morning.
The time spent with the girl was not to be disturbed.
Looking down, the tablet in his hand displayed a video. It was security footage from a nightclub. The nightclub where Mimi had been injured.
Tobias felt a slight hesitation to play the video. If he played it, he would be peering into Mimi's affairs. Not just that, but he didn't think he could control himself when seeing the girl get injured.
Gripping the tablet in his hand Tobias's eyes darkened. He had long thrown away any sense of righteousness the moment he saw the bloodstains on her.
Tobias s.h.i.+fted his hand and clicked play on the video.
