This was the day. The day she'd be working under Andras, the very person who helped her a few months ago - and for some reason caused her heart to race abnormally.
Glancing out the window, Emilia watches as the cities buildings pa.s.s by in blurs. No matter how hard she tried, her heart couldn't stop pounding, and her hands continued twitching restlessly.
That morning she had purposely dressed elegantly and maturely to possibly catch his interest and attention.
Seated beside her was a small red bag, inside was the red suit jacket Andras had used to cover her during her fight with Landon. From the beginning, the girl hadn't washed it, too scared to lose the fragrant sweet scent of him.
For months she'd occasionally stare at the red jacket hanging in her closet, wondering when she'd be able to return it to the attractive teenager with beautiful green eyes.
When one of her maids offered to wash it, Emilia quickly refuted, clutching tightly onto the jacket as if it were her most precious item.
Recalling the look the maids gave her that day, Emilia's face flushed. Lost in her own thoughts, Emilia hadn't regarded that the car had paused its movements, nor did she realize the chauffeur turning in her direction, calling her name.
"Ms. Yimo?"
"Eh?" Looking up, she notes the chauffeur staring at her from the front.
"I said we're here."
"Oh," Emilia's gaze drifted toward the window to see the towering building in front.
Compared to most companies the one in front would be deemed as small, however, if one were to know the owner was a teenage boy that was no older than fifteen, they'd surely be impressed. Emilia couldn't stop her mouth from slightly parting upon observing it.
Looks like she was here.
The chauffeur exits the car to gently open the door for Emilia, who continued to stare at the building in a trance.
"After you Ms. Yimo." He spoke in a courteous tone.
Bobbing her head, Emilia steps out of the car, the previous amazed expression on her face replaced with an arrogant and haughty aura.
Gently, her slender legs touch the ground, her heels creating a light tap against the pavement. Inspecting her surroundings, Emilia raises her chin even further.
There was nothing for her to be shy about! After all, she and Andras were already familiar with one another - not to mention he willingly accepted to train her.
Unfortunately for Emilia, her father hadn't mentioned to her the offer he proposed to Andras in order for him to train his daughter. If her father never suggested such a deal, Andras most likely wouldn't have agreed so efficiently.
Nodding her head toward the chauffeur, Emilia begins walking in the direction of the building - the red bag clutched in her hand. Entering the building, Emilia couldn't help but halt her steps as she began examining the inside structure.
Compared to the outside, the inside of the building was exactly what one would expect to see from a well-established company. Neatly painted walls, bright marble floors, and large windows - the building radiated freshly. The aura was cooling and almost ethereal.
Snapping out of her trance, Emilia continues walking in the receptionist direction with a confident and arrogant demeanor.
Despite her n.o.ble and confident appearance, only Emilia knew how much her heart was racing the closer she walked to the front desk.
She was finally going to meet him!
Approaching the desk, Emilia looks at the young man at the desk who was currently typing on his computer with a humble smile. Sensing the figure approaching him, the man s.h.i.+fts his gaze away from his screen to stare at Emilia with a bright smile.
"Ah! You must be Ms. Yimo. Mr. Andras is expecting you!" The man said in a chirpy tone.
Emilia couldn't help but flash her eyes dramatically upon hearing the man.
Why…was he so hyper? Were all workers here like this? And how was he able to recognize her?
Thinking it was because of her popular figure in the industry, Emilia couldn't help but grin proudly, her confidence raising even further.
However, unknown to Emilia, the truth behind the matter in the receptionist recognizing her was because he was briefly informed of her arrival beforehand. To recognize her, his boss said she'd carry an arrogant confident aura.
Therefore, seeing Emilia enter, the man was able to immediately recognize her based on his bosses description.
"Allow me to inform Mr. Andras of your arrival." The man smiled before reaching for the receiver in front of him.
Emilia calmly stood in front of the desk with crossed arms, her eyes grazing around at her surroundings with an impa.s.sive expression - appearing as if she were unimpressed.
After a few minutes, the sound of heels clicking from a distance could be heard walking in her direction. Turning in the area of the sound, Emilia's eyes immediately furrow seeing the figure walking toward her.
They…They weren't Andras?
Rather than whom Emilia expected to see, she instead saw a woman dressed in a dress suit, black gla.s.ses, and dark hair tied tightly in a bun walking toward her.
With a polite smile, the woman nods her head towards her.
"Ms. Yimo, I'm Jean, Mr. Andras's a.s.sistant. Unfortunately, Mr. Andras is currently busy with a client. But no worries he'll be done soon and be able to direct you. For the now though, Mr. Andras asked for me to a.s.sist you and allow you to settle in."
Due to her heels, Jean was a foot taller than the young, teenage Emilia who looked up at the woman with narrowed eyes. Her eyes studied the woman in front of her, momentarily landing on her large chest before s.h.i.+fting back toward her face.
"How long will he be busy for?" Emilia crossed her arms.
Not affected by the girl's slight resentful tone, Jean smiles. "Possibly an hour, although I can't be too sure. If you're worried that my training won't be suitable then don't worry, Mr. Andras has personally instructed me what to do."
Emilia's brows couldn't help but twitch slightly after hearing Jean's words
Personally instructed her?
Although those words seemed innocent, Emilia still couldn't help but feel somewhat irritated. However, because Jean was his a.s.sistant Emilia swallowed her annoyance and huffed.
"Fine then, I guess you'll do. Lead the way."
"Of course. Follow me Ms. Yimo, and I'll explain to you some things about the company on our way, and what you'll be doing."
Holding back the urge to roll her eyes, Emilia unwilling follows Jean toward the elevator, completely unaware of the wicked, amused eyes on her.
