After two months.

Clara suggested a vacation for the family, two nights and two days stay in the amazing Water Park Resort in Laguna, a few hours travel from Metro Manila.

To please his family, John agreed.

Clara invited the couple Romeo and Sandra, knowing that Romeo is John's best friend. It was almost like a reunion except that Catherine's was still missing, it would have been awesome if she can attend the family gathering.

After two hours and thirty minutes of nonstop traveling, they arrived in Laguna. They placed their belongings in their respective cottages, they inspected all the pools, there were seven of them, the area was huge, it's a two-hectare water park.

The attraction includes wave pool with lazy river, Giant slide, kiddie pool, pavilion pool, Cave Pool with Floating Gazebo, Lovers Lane, Bonfire, 400 steps, and the woodside farm. The panoramic view of the resort was awesome. The whole place was a fusion between trees, green plants, and gorgeous sparkly water. It's a peaceful, clean and s.p.a.cious Water Park. It gives you a tranquil relaxing feeling, surrounded by open-air splendid amenities and an abundance of natures wonder.

During night time the entire water park was illuminated with bright lights and the guest can indulge themselves in swimming all night long.

Anna and Caroline were in the kiddie pool, they take each turn to watch over baby James.

While the big boys were enjoying themselves in the 6 ft pool.

Clara and Sandra were having a conversation about Catherine while relaxing in the lounge chair beside the pool.

"So, how are Catherine and John relations.h.i.+p before my daughter-in-law was missing?" asked Clara.

"They were so in love with each other, just like any ordinary couple they also undergo many trials in their relations.h.i.+p, but they were strong so they surpa.s.sed everything. Catherine give birth to baby James and they finally get married, unfortunately, Catherine went missing and the rest is history," Sandra explained sadly.

Clara heard bits of pieces of information from John but not the overall story of the couple. "So, what about the twin sister of my daughter-in-law, that Caroline over there, she looks like the spitting image of Catherine," she motioned her head towards the kiddie pool area.

Sandra stared at Caroline that was laughing with Anna as of the moment. "She is the nanny of baby James and the baby thinks she was his mommy because they look identical. I guess that is one reason why Caroline was baby James nanny because John saw that it's beneficial for the baby," she said.

"Do you think, Catherine will come back alive one day?" Clara asked.

Sandra sighed. "I wish with all my heart because Catherine is a nice girl. You will like her for sure, Auntie," she said, she only has good praises for the missing woman.

"Yes I like Catherine, she's already a fine daughter-in-law for me, we have chatted a few times on the messenger, too bad I only seen her in the video chat. I'm looking forward to getting to know her better one day," there's wishful thinking in Clara's voice.

"You will meet her personally one day, Auntie," replied Sandra.

"I hope so. I hope that Catherine and the baby are safe wherever they are right now. I want them to return to us safely as soon as possible," Clara said, a worried look was etched on her face.

Sandra was still looking at Caroline. "I'm wondering just a little bit, that if John and Caroline continue to stay under one roof, there might be a chance that they would develop feelings for each other because Caroline looks exactly like her missing twin sister. She could easily be mistaken as John's wife. I wonder what's running on John's mind every time he saw Caroline, would he think of Catherine at all?" she muses.

Clara was also fixing her attention to Caroline. "You know what, Sandra? we are thinking of the same thing. But maybe, we are just over imagining things."

Sandra looked at the older woman in front of her. "If worst comes to worst and Catherine will never return, then John and Caroline might develop feelings for each other based on the proximity of living under one roof, would you approve of Caroline as your next daughter-in-law, Auntie?" she asked.

Clara sighed. "I still prefer Catherine because my son loves her so much, but if years will pa.s.s by and no sign of Catherine returning then who am I to prevent them from falling for each other? As long John loves a woman wholeheartedly, I can accept anyone," she answered.

They sipped their drinks while relaxing in the lounge chair, immersing to the wonderful atmosphere around them. Having the chance to relax in an open fresh air surrounded by sparkling water in the pool was invigorating. John smiled broadly at his mother. "Yes. I'm enjoying our vacation, Mom. Thank you so much for suggesting it to me, I almost have forgotten how to unwind and relax after my wife was missing. It's been so hard for me, I think I already died inside. It's kind of refres.h.i.+ng that we got to enjoy this outdoor experience. It's super relaxing here and this place is superb!" he said and he meant it. Catherine's disappearance carved a big void in his life, it's hard to live every day fearing for his wife's and unborn child's safety and always thinking of their whereabouts.
