But she stopped in her tracks when she heard the voice outside. Reeya came to meet them. Ira stood by the door hearing their talk and only when they were gone did she leave.
When she got back with breakfast, Vivan was sitting on the bed and the sunlight from the window sprinkled on the half of his face. His perfect eyebrows knit together above that straight nose bridge. He seemed to be thinking about something.
Just looking at this face, Ira smiled, she had indeed secured a very attractive man.
As soon as she fell in his sight, his eyes turned affectionate.
"I made this simple sweet bun." Ira got those minion shaped buns out of the box and poured a gla.s.s of milk from the thermos.
"With milk, it tastes good," Ira said with doubt. She had gone home to give him a good breakfast, with vegetables and his favorite apple pie. But when she got back, she found her fridge completely empty. In anger, she had thrown whatever she bought in the trash that day. Now with not many ingredients except flour, she could only make cream bread.
Besides, she didn't have much time to make anything. So, she got some milk with it.
Fair fingers tapped the table as she waited for him to take a bite. Vivan didn't move to eat it.
Looking at the squishy bread, he pinched her face, "You made it so cute. How will I eat them?"
"Won't you eat?" She had a confused face. Are those too cute to eat? 'I should have bought some stuff and give him a good meal'
If one could see her face at the moment it could arise pity. The real Ira is in fact such a person, the smart her was just a mask.
"The sweetness is just right." He bit off the head of a minion. "By the way, you came back earlier than I thought." he mumbled with the soft bun in his mouth.
"You're awesome. How did you make them so fast?" Traveling back and forth from the hospital and making them in short time deserved praise.
"I've got amazing skills of kneading and shaping the dough." She had to admit she was formidable. Making adorable and yummy desserts were her forte in past life.
Glancing at Ira's grin with those lively eyes, Vivan commented, "Oh, I thought you learned to make them for me. It was actually your pa.s.sion all along." He pretended to have a sad face with his lips turned down.
"You ... " Her smile froze for a second. The skills were attained after a lifetime of experience. She didn't know how to explain. It was true she didn't learn to make them for him but never before she felt so proud of those. Never before she felt so pleased to feed them to a person; so contented to have someone taste them.
He pinched her cheek "Okay, I won't tease anymore."
Vivan drank half the milk and stretched the gla.s.s to her, "You didn't have breakfast. Drink."
"Uh ... " Although it was true she didn't have breakfast and she was hungry, just that she disliked milk.
Following his caring approach, she had to drink it. Vivan smirked at the ugly face she made while gulping it. Despite saying he won't tease her anymore, he resumed his actions.
