I heard a gunshot and pain brought me back to reality, I was in sweating profusely on the hospital bed, I looked around but couldn't find anyone around, everything was still blurry and hazy, then my brain started to process the whole situation bit by bit. My usual nightmare added new characters again and I couldn't see the boy who kept begging him to......

Could it be that...?

I swallowed hard and tried to sit up, but the searing pain that came from my abdomen sent me back to laying down. Oh dear, don't tell me...

"Doctor!!!". My hoa.r.s.e voice called out but got no response and where is Mr. Gorgeous?

" Doctor!!!! ". My voice seemed louder but didn't make too much of an impact as n.o.body showed up. I sat up slowly, ignoring the agony I was going through. I removed the drip hastily and stood up with very much difficulty. I didn't mind all the blood that was dripping from the gash at my abdomen, I made for the door. I needed to know what happened to my baby.

I got to the open entrance in what seemed like a year, I took few steps out before things started to get blurry once again, I took another clumsy step and fell. Mr. Gorgeous got to the scene in time and caught me. I couldn't make out his expression as he carried me back to the room, but I felt he was worried, which only made me more tense.

" Why did you get out of the bed?". He asked as he gently placed me on the bed like a porcelain doll.

"What happened to my baby?". I didn't bother answering his question, I just wanted to know what happened to my precious baby.

" Answer me, what happened to my baby?". I asked again due to his frustrating silence.

"Calm down Vee Vee, you'll..."

"Don't f.u.c.king tell me to calm down, get to the f.u.c.king point and tell me what the h.e.l.l happened to my baby". I was losing my mind, I would die if anything happens to her.

" Nothing's wrong with the baby OK?, now get a hold of yourself and stop cursing so loudly, my dad is around, just what will he think of he hears you cursing". He said angrily, probably tired of my drama.

"Oh you think I'm cursing?, just who endangered my baby's life by taking me to a mad house all in the name of introducing me to the family?". I was raging and this b.a.s.t.a.r.d only cared about the fact that I was cursing so loudly?

" You're not permitted to speak ill of my family ". His gaze was menacing but I didn't care a bit.

" Oh dear me, I'm not permitted to speak 'ill' of your family, I'm not permitted to get jealous of some sneaky b.i.t.c.h that wants you for herself and I'm not even permitted to be worried about my baby?, just what am I permitted to do?, sit around and wait on you like some maiden right?, you're just like all of them, you just want to use me and my baby too. I almost lost my baby today, all thanks to you and you think I should stay calm just because we signed a freaking agreement in the name of marriage?, fine then, I'm not going to let you endanger my baby's life and mine as well. I'm filling for divorce! ". My voice turned cold and cold at every word I uttered, but I didn't say the final note due to anger, I've really decided that to protect my baby's life, I'll have to excuse myself from the Browns' family drama.

" Oh, so that's it, you're backing out now huh?, what a way to fulfill the high promises of helping me reclaim what's mine, you did this for money?, you actually wanted my wealth?, I should have listened to Joey, she warned me about this move but I thought you are different, I a.s.sure you that you wouldn't get a penny from my wealth ". He stomped off before I could give him a fitting reply. This guy is actually a very selfish money grubbing gold digger, and he thinks of me as the same too?. I'll so prove him wrong.

Three days pa.s.sed quickly without hearing from Mr. Gorgeous, he actually played the victim when I was indeed the victim, I sighed as I signed my discharge papers and left the hospital on my own. I actually made a little mistake, I should have calmed down before informing him of my decision, but my stupid emotions got in the way of things. Now where would I go in a a big city with no cash, nor anyone to lean on?, I didn't even have a phone. Thankfully Mr. Gorgeous had already settled the hospital bills before his disappearance or there would have been a problem after my recovery.

I sighed deeply as I trekked aimlessly in the scorching sun, I knew I messed up but I wasn't going to go back to that man that has a one tracked mind. It'll would only confirm his b.i.t.c.hy perception of me. I sat down under a shady tree as my legs were worn out. I was still trying to figure out what I'll do with my miserable, frustrated life when a Rolls Royce phantom slowly parked before me.
