When Tang Mo’er looked at her father, she only noticed Tang Hai taking a quick glance towards Qin Yawen’s retreating back, before steering his gaze towards her. “Mo’er, come here.”

Tang Mo’er walked up to Tang Hai and asked in a puzzled manner, “Daddy, why are you here?”

She had won the battle, her father’s arrival was the cornerstone that enabled her to win without putting in much effort.

But why did he arrive here? Was it purely a coincidence?

Tang Hai touched Tang Mo’er’s silky black hair, “Someone placed a copy of the entertainment newspapers in my office this morning. In the Mayor’s holding room, Tang Hai took off his blazer as the doors suddenly opened. Qin Yawen walked into the room.

The secretary stood outside and reported respectfully, “Mayor, Mrs Han is here.”

Tang Hai nodded and the secretary closed the doors.

Qin Yawen’s eyes were complete red and puffy. Being so close to Tang Hai, she wasn’t in her best mental state and he looked at her, his face unreadable. “How did you learn that Han Dong wanted to rape Tang Mo’er? Or is it, you knew about Han Dong’s perverted thoughts towards Mo’er all along, and you just never made the effort to stop him all these years and even allowed it to escalate to such a state?”

“I…”

Tang Hai had received her answer, “Qin Yawen, how did you become such an evil woman? You’ve become someone completely different.”

Everyone else could scold her, but only this man, who was extremely protective of her back then, couldn’t. Qin Yawen was visibly agitated. “Why did I do this, isn’t it all for our daughter, Qi’er?
