Chapter 339: Return (1)
“Your Majesty. We have arrived.”
As the pilot of the chopper said, the area seemed familiar. It was back to the place where it all began.
‘Back to this place again.’
This place was the beginning of everything for Joonb.u.m.
‘Time flew so fast.’
Joonb.u.m thought. He was now 44 years old. It was twenty years of hard and fast days. Lots of things had happened in those years. He took his mother over the Gate and survived in the wilderness with help of the Guardians and the Ainos. Joonb.u.m then became the leader of an estate, and began to grow in power. He also saved starving people through cultivating crops. People began to wors.h.i.+p Joonb.u.m as a savior, and a war started against the Empire and Religion. Joonb.u.m eradicated all those corrupted groups with the people of the world on his back. Soon, he became the emperor of Khalodian.
“Hah.”
Joonb.u.m remembered the old days when he was busily working day and night to earn money to survive day by day. Joonb.u.m then looked over at the region.
‘Is what happened to the Earth a disaster?’
He came to an idea. The drastic change that came down upon the Earth was maybe foretold. Earth had gone through many changes in its lifespan and many life forms had met their demise in each of its changes.
‘Maybe it’s the same thing again.’
Maybe it wasn’t a coincidence that many life forms began to appear after the change. Joonb.u.m was filled with thoughts as a helicopter began to land. Joonb.u.m got out of the helicopter and saw many people around.
Thousands of Khalodian armies silently stood. In the sky, dragons began to fly down. Civilians seemed to be shocked and excited by the majestic sight. Dragons were terrifying beings, but all people knew that dragons were friendly beings now.
Joonb.u.m then got up to the stage and stood in front of a microphone. People began to fall silent as they all eagerly watched Joonb.u.m.
“Hmmm…”
Joonb.u.m let out a breath and looked at the people in front.
“People of Khalodian! It’s time to GO BACK HOME!!”
Simple words, that was it. But it was enough.
“WHOAAAAAAAAAA!!”
Cheers and shouts of joy roared from the thousands of people. All of the people seemed to be filled with joy. There was no need to speak for more. Everyone had spent years in this alien world each with different goals. But it was now time to go back. Soon, people focused on the empty area where the Gate was going to open.
And soon, the area began to distort. It was the opening of the Gate. With the Gate fully open, a large horn was blown with red signal fire soaring through the sky.
“The Gate is open!”
“It’s open!”
“Whoaaaaa!”
Soldiers in front of the Gate began to move quickly.
“Jon! Run!”
Soldiers ordered military dogs to run through. The roars died down as they silently watched, waiting for the dogs to return.
