Benjamin had this confusing question in his mind when G.o.dric suddenly mumbled, “Aren’t they like pets? Like… you know how people in the Empire raise different animals and monsters as hobbies. They’re called pets.”

Benjamin glared. The children were indeed being well taken care of. It was like they were being cared for as pets.

“They are all kids. Look at them! But old enough that they don’t need a mother.”

Benjamin was shocked.

Through the hole, Benjamin saw an enemy soldier that looked like a reptile coming up to them.

Benjamin was too shocked. He couldn’t even scream when G.o.dric suddenly came up to him and slapped him. That immediately snapped him out of his daze.

Benjamin sighed in relief. Everything was explained when he learned the true ident.i.ty of G.o.dric.

“I’ll sneak into their camp with this look, then disguise as one of the kids. Don’t you think it will be fun? Oh, go let the army know what I’m up to.”

“Commander Halis. The dragons have joined the war.”

An old man came in and informed Halis, who replied with a smile.

“Sir Todd. Come in, please.”

Todd sat down and took a sip of tea.

“So, the dragons are now in the war too?”

Todd Veneth was a former lieutenant of Chancellor Jackson, who was now one of the senior advisors of the Empire. Todd continued.
