Rhys could not let the Sound Kingdom officials come here. If they saw the current state with Kazuya and him providing their support to the Mist Kingdom royal family… While the elders gave them strict instructions to do whatever they could to regain their trust. Rhys knew it did not involve helping the royal family out with their problems.
"Rhys, I would like to kiss you."
"Huh?" Rhys snapped out of his daze.
"I mean." She laughed shyly. "I heard from the other women that kissing under the moonlight is romantic. Oh we are near the fountain now too."
Even if she heard that from other people, isn't she acting too bold? "Princess Lyn, I am afraid that if I touch you again tonight, you won't be able to attend the rest of this party."
Lyn blinked before she burst into laughter. "I see. I am happy with you Rhys."
"But?"
"I still dont believe in a love that will last forever, nor do I believe people can be happy for a lifetime. It is hard to trust people because so often people get stabbed in the back by those people who supposedly cared about them the most. Love and happiness is beautiful and so many people crave for it. They are the two things people need to stay human and to stay alive." Lyn paused and glanced up at the sky. "Not even the most coldest human being could survive without the love and warmth from another person."
Rhys could not miss the girls lonely tone and wrapped his arms around her. He held her tightly in his arms and felt her arms wrap around him too.
"They balance out our very nature. And because sometimes they're so rare, so far away or distant, doesn't that make them all the more precious? And trust, that's another base need. You must have trust to have love, real love, and if you have real love, that means you also have happiness. You can't go through life and not trust anybody, even if you try at the end you will come crawling back.
You can't desire to be alone because there is n.o.body to trust. But if it's so rare and precious, why bother looking for it? Who says love and happiness and trust are worth it, if it causes so much pain? Can you honestly say that you would rather live your life in pain and sadness and loneliness, as an empty, hollowed sh.e.l.l, and never have experienced real love and true happiness and honest trust"
"So tell me, can I give you that?" Rhys felt like she was hinting at something.
She lifted her head up from his embrace and looked up. "Do you like me that much?"
Lyn could not help but ask and Rhys felt his entire face turn redder by the minute. Unfortunately this did not go un-noticed by Lyn. "You do? What do you like about me… or rather are you obsessed with me?"
If he wasn't embarra.s.sed before, now he was. How could he answer that question of hers? He was the type of person who expressed their feelings through actions and not words.

Meanwhile inside the mansion
Princess Lethias gentle smile broke when she entered the small private room. "When is that man coming?"
She has been entertaining these people for hours and was very tired.
Just as she said that a pair of arms wrapped around her from the back. "Why are you sulking already? I am here now. I was late because I was preparing gifts for you."
This man is Kain her new fiance, and he was also the First Prince - no the King of the Rain Kingdom.
Lethia sighed. "I dislike dealing with such frivolous people."
Kain laughed. "Then what about me dearest?"
"Your different."
Of course he is different, with his status it would be easier to get ahead of Lyn. "You had a fiance, why did you get rid of her and go to me?"
"Dont our interests align? You want to get rid of your sister and I want to get rid of my brother." Kain sneered. "Who would have thought that my long lost twin ended up in the Sound Kingdom."
"Are you sure it is him? We did a background check and his relatives…"
"--made that story up. It isn't a lie. They probably recognized him as a child from royalty and decided to use him. Behind his back his so-called family from the Sound Kingdom repeated benefits and rewards. Any Kingdom would keep a gifted child."
Lethia sighed when she heard that explanation. "If he is your twin, then he is indeed of the highest level of royalty. It is a shame however that he would not get a chance to know that."
"It seems like he has lost his memories, I wonder what the Sound Kingdom did to him for him to forget everything."
"Does it matter?" Lethia's gaze darkened. "That man keeps getting in my way."
The main reasons her plans against Lyn have failed so much is because of Prince Rhys. Sometimes before she events puts her plan under motion he already stopped her.
Kain blinked. "Is he that fond of your sister?"
"My sister is very good at deceiving men."
"I haven't met her yet but isnt she supposed to be ugly?"
"Not quite." Lethia bit her lip. She hated to admit it but Lyn was far more beautiful than her. This was even more the case recently. Is it because Lyn is growing up now? This level of maturity is far too fast for her liking.
Now that she has found out that her sister who was supposed to be oblivious and clueless this entire time. Lethia took a step back for awhile and pushed her plans aside. That visit from Zepher and warning from the King also made her wary of her movements. But King John has given her a chance to attack Lyn.
As long as the solution outside does not change.
