"I think I understand what the issue at hand is."
"Uh, you do?"
Or rather, why does she have to make it sound so formal for?
"In short terms, he is duping you."
Her sweatdropped. "I thought so, too, at first. But I do not think he is the type to plan this far." Or rather, his recent interactions with her have seen more genuine. He was always kind to her before, but there always seemed to be something fake about his smile.
Lyn. played with the cup in her fingers. "Recently, he's been genuinely kind. When I was troubled regarding my sister, he ended up helping me out. Somehow...I think it's nice."
There are many other things she wants to say. But she doesn't know how to phrase it just yet; she won't search for an answer now though, because he's not her beloved person, even if she does like being with him. The feelings of 'love' are something completely different. She's still no expert on it, but Lyn knows already, that feelings of love are on a whole other level.
"I see. I understand it's something genuine that's why you feel uncomfortable that people are trying to define it for you."
Oh, Gabrielle isn't asking her like all the others have; instead, she's... Her gaze softens. "Well, I can say for sure that I miss Kazuya. I've been missing him like crazy."
"I can tell. How much paper have you wasted?"
She watched at as Gabrielle glanced over at her bag. Her cheeks flushed red. "Ah um, those are..."
"When you miss someone, you end up unconsciously acting on your desires. I'm sure all those drawings represent your subconscious."
Her desires.. Uwaaah, she should hide them after all! She probably ended up unconsciously drawing something strange. Strange drawings, come to think of it Rhys did the same.
"Lyn, can I ask you what sort of person is your boyfriend?"
What sort of person? Gabrielle, who is offering her some advice, must be getting somewhere. What sort of person is Rhys? It's a question with many answers, and depending on the relations.h.i.+p with the individual, others have different opinions.
Gabrielle doesn't want her to answer right away. She wants her to think it through. The one who understood Rhys is surely her, and yet she recently stumbled on so many of his secrets. In doing so, she has discovered many different sides to him that she never knew before.
It's s a question that's been on her mind a lot increasingly. After learning each new secret, she ends up thinking about it more and more. Does she really know Rhys?
Gabrielle isn't asking her to express her opinions about Rhys, either. But how she feels. It isn't very comfortable, having this sort of conversation.
Lyn took a deep breath. It's fine, Gabrielle won't tell anybody so Haruka won't find out.
"I'll add this now; you can skip out the parts of him being obsessed with you. Everyone knows."
"How to put it. He perturbed my emotions. It's never been easy for me to get close to other people. So I become uncomfortable and sad. But even though I felt those things, it never showed on my expression. I was like a doll. Even now, when things have gotten better. That's why my image is still like that. Even so, when I come in contact with that person. It feels like I can't breathe, and I'm happy. That I could feel inside of me, this colorful emotion, it surprised me."
"Even a doll has the right to love somebody, but you've never been a doll if you ask me."
Ah...
"Although you could not express your emotions very well in front of other people. When you were with those you grew to care about, you always showed the brightest smile. I am sure that both Prince Rhys and sir Kazuya knew that too, at least in my eyes. I don't think he ever saw you as a person with no emotions."
Lyn laughed awkwardly. "I know. I found something new about Rhys recently, he paints. When I saw his paintings, I understood something I pondered so long about."
When Rhys found out that she liked them, he gave it all to her. 'I'll give them to you, it's better in your hands. 'At the start, she couldn't understand what he meant by it. But now she gets it. All those paintings show the many different emotions he feels towards her.
This was why even though that sight with Melissa upset her, she did not do anything about it. How could she? Even though she wants to be angry at him- she can't, after finding out his feelings.
"People often use different forms to express their emotions. I'm no different than you and Rhys; what I can't say out loud, I'll find a way to convey it using other means. But I don't think that we can dismiss talking about what we feel when you feel like crying, it's okay to cry. When you feel like being mad, it's okay to be mad. Whatever feeling it may be, every last one of them are like treasures."
"Gabrielle, I--" Lyn looked down.
"Princess Lyn, I will say this only once. What you need to do right now is to grasp tightly on to his hand despite everything going on in your surroundings. What Sir Zepher is to you, and your guilty feelings towards Kazuya, those things can wait. You should focus on that one hand right in front of you, and not let him go. Because surely for you, those feelings are the most important."
The most important? But Lyn recalled Kazuya's expression from earlier. How does she coldly push him away when he looks at her with such tenderness even now?
