After crying a lot, Lee Xuiye felt so exhausted that she fell asleep in no time in Mo Lingtan's arms without eating anything.

He wanted to wake her up to let her eat something but seeing her pitiful face which was filled with traces of tears, he didn't have the heart to do that. So he let her sleep and called the doctor to check her arm.

Lee Xuiye slept all the way till the next morning and she groggily woke up by the sound of a birds' chirping. She subconsciously touched the spot beside her and got nothing but the coldness.

Mo Lingtan's warmness was nowhere. 

Lee Xuiye looked at her surroundings and found no one was here.

Immediately, Lee Xuiye's eyes turned red again and tears started rolling down on the pillow and the thoughts that came in her mind were about Mo Lingtan.

Did he leave her here alone?

Mo Lingtan just entered into the ward with breakfast in his hands and he heard faint sobs. Instantly, his heart dropped. 

Mo Lingtan looked at the frail figure on the bed who was clearly trembling, Lee Xuiye's back was facing towards the door.

"Why are you crying?" Mo Lingtan immediately kept the breakfast at the side table and went towards the frail figure.

Lee Xuiye was startled hearing his voice, she looked up and her blurry sight found Mo Lingtan in front of her.

"What happened? Are you hurt somewhere? Tell me where are you hurt?" Mo Lingtan immediately took her in his arms and worriedly looked at her.

"I...I...thought you left me alone again." Lee Xuiye was sniffing and said. 

"I went to buy breakfast for you. Why would I leave you alone? Didn't you tell everything? If you show trust in me, I will never leave you ever." Mo Lingtan softly said and wiped her tears away.

"But I did many bad things, don't you hate me?" 

"You did those things for your survival so why would I hate you? I am not a saint, I also did many bad things. More than you did. Xuiye, do whatever you want, just show some trust in your husband, will you?"

Lee Xuiye nodded "Didn't I tell you all the things?"

"Yes and that's what I wanted. Alright, let's stop this strife. I don't like having a quarrel with you."

"Neither do I."

"Good. So now I think the time has come here where we should make some rules to avoid strife in our relations.h.i.+p."

"Rules?" Lee Xuiye sobered up and looked at him.

"Yes. Rule no. 1. We should trust each other and tell everything to each other. We won't hide anything from each other, alright?"

Lee Xuiye nodded in an agreement "Hmmm...But what if I have done very bad things, would you hate me then?"

"I will never ever hate you. Okay… would you believe me if I tell you I threw Zhou Ziyao down from the valley?"

Moreover, Lee Xuiye never liked ZHou Ziyao as the latter always tried to seduce Mo Lingtan by being a white lotus.

"So there is no need for me to hate you as well. Even if you kill someone, I know you have your own reason. I know you won't unreasonably kill people, will you?"

"Of course not!"

"Okay. Next Rule no. 2. If I want you to not contact someone then you would listen to me and never ever contact that someone. The same rule applies to me." Mo Lingtan said while his serious face was showing that there was no room for negotiation. 

His hint was clearly for Xiao Tao.

If Lee Xuiye had listened to Mo Lingtan and didn't work with Xiao Tao then she wouldn't have a problem regarding her pregnancy. 

However, she didn't listen to him and now Mo Lingtan had another headache as he didn't know how to break this news to her.
