"There… Perfect…" Keira whispered after she successfully put a necktie on her husband. She had bought a lot of ties for him because she was antic.i.p.ating moments like this. Then she added, "See…? Neckties are not that bad. You look great in it…" Zach moved his neck uncomfortably, and Keira laughed. "You'll get used to it… Give it a month…" Keira rea.s.sured him before she gently tugged him on his tie so he would bend closer to her and gave him a breathtaking kiss.  Zach smiled and murmured, "If you do this more often, I'm sure I'll end up loving this knot on my neck..." Keira took one step back and gave him a look-over while tapping her index finger on her lips, as though she was examining him. Then she threw him a flirty look and teased him in her sweetest smile, "My, my... Whose husband is this? How come he's so handsome? Hey, Handsome! Tell your wife she's lucky!"  Zach laughed at his wife's antics and couldn't resist to pull her in for another kiss. He deepened the kiss, almost sucking everything dry out of her, and Keira knew that things would escalate rather quickly if she did not put a stop to it. So she pushed his chest and murmured, "Let go... We have to go... My lipstick… You're eating it..."  Keira laughed when she saw her lipstick smeared all over Zach's lips, so she wiped it with her fingers. "There… All fixed… Let's go to work…" Keira said as she grabbed Zach's arm to go out. It was Zach's first official day at work as the President of the Liu group, and she actually wished she could go with him to his office, just to see how his day would go, but she knew how inappropriate it was to stay with him for the whole day, so she decided to just visit him later during her break, or whenever she was available. Jeru and Thea were just getting inside their car when Zach and Keira reached the porch of the mansion, and they saw Old Madam Liu seeing Jeru and Thea off by waving at them.  Zach and Keira also headed to their car, and likewise, Old Madam Liu only saw them off by waving at them, the same as Jeru and Thea. Senior Liu was about to leave for a meeting abroad with foreign investors. He saw that and shook his head with a grin on his face. His mother was definitely changing for the better, little by little, without her even knowing. "Make sure you're back by this weekend..." Old Madam Liu reminded her son, which he answered with a nod.  ...... Old Madam Liu insisted that Zach had a personal driver, reasoning that it would be too tiresome for him if he also had to drive on his own, especially when the work at the office was already exhausting, so Zach no longer refused.  He had Keira dropped off at her work first before he headed to his office. He arrived at the same time as Jeru, and Zach saw all the executives and other high-level staff were already waiting outside. "Good morning Sir," greeted Dave, Zach's a.s.sistant, as he opened the rear door of the luxurious sedan. "Oh c.r.a.p," Zach mused helplessly as he stepped out of the car. The employees reminded him of his soldiers who would stand in a straight line, but instead of giving him a military salute, they all bowed their heads as he and Jeru walked past them. "Is this necessary?" Zach murmured when they were already inside the building, walking toward the elevator, followed by a whole entourage of a.s.sistants and high-level personnel. Jeru chuckled and whispered, "At least you don't have to walk in front of them alone. Imagine how awkward it was for me having to walk like this every morning, just by myself. You'll get used to it. Grandma is very strict about this..." It was true. This had become the Liu Group's tradition because their grandmother really wanted everyone to acknowledge their superiority and pay their respect to them. Zach could only sigh as he loosened his necktie as soon as the elevator door closed. He felt really uncomfortable. Finally, it was just Jeru and him, and their respective a.s.sistants inside the private elevator. Jeru turned to him before going out of the lift on his floor. He grinned as he said, "Good luck on your first day, Man. Break a leg!" Jeru was obviously having fun teasing him. Zach only nodded as the elevator door closed again. Zach arrived on his floor, where a woman was already waiting and greeted him. All the staff in the reception hall of his office stood up to greet him.  He smiled at them as he continued to walk toward his office, followed by his a.s.sistant Dave and the woman who was waiting for him at the elevator. "Sir, this is your personal secretary. Her name is Megan," a.s.sistant Dave introduced the woman.  "Good morning Sir," Megan greeted him with a wide smile. Zach returned the smile and extended his hand for a handshake. "Welcome to the company, Megan..." Megan bashfully accepted Zach's hand and murmured, "Thank you, Sir. I'll do my best and work hard." Zach nodded and sat on his chair. He sighed upon seeing the stack of doc.u.ments that were already waiting on his desk. No wonder Jeru was grinning at him when he bid him a stroke of good luck. Dave excused himself to take care of some things related to Zach's agenda for the day. Megan stayed in the room and asked if Zach would like to drink anything.  "No, thanks, Megan. You can leave now," Zach answered as he s.h.i.+fted his gaze back to the doc.u.ments on his desk. But Megan only stood there and stared at Zach.  Zach noticed his secretary was not leaving yet, so with a creased forehead, he asked, "Megan, right?" The secretary nodded and gave him her sweetest smile. "Hmm, I think you did not hear me… I said you may leave now, Megan. I'll call you if I need anything," Zach said with a friendly smile. "Uhm noted, Sir…" Megan said as she smiled back at Zach before she turned her back on him and exited the room. As soon as she was back at her desk, she turned her computer on and smiled as she opened some particular files. "Finally… I can get near you… You don't seem to remember me, though..." She whispered as she stared at a photo of a man in a soldier uniform. But it made sense that he did not recognize her, because she had her face covered at that time. Then she looked at her hand that was held by her boss just a while ago… A contented smile curved her lips as she raised that hand near her heart. She had waited a long time for this, and she finally succeeded in being near the man she loved.
