Chapter 362

Jeru and Zach discussed the matter about the company in the mansion's main library as soon as Zach was back home.

"It's so unfair. I thought I'll be less busy since you will get the upper hand on the family business," Jeru sincerely muttered with a bit of complaint.

Zach laughed and said, "Don't worry, I will help every once in a while or whenever I'm available."

Jeru heaved a long deep sigh because he knew that  he had no choice, but then it was fine because he honestly preferred to manage the business than staying in the military. After taking over a lot of projects, he had started to  enjoy doing all that work in the office, with his brain being busy in solving a lot of things concerning the family business especially how he could make it grow and expand further.

Zach felt a quick gentle pat on his shoulders from Jeru while he said, "I'm glad you and Keira are well and safe. I still can't believe I missed being in action."

"Well at least you did not miss being in action with your wife…" Keira boldly teased Thea on her side as the two wives brought some snacks to their husbands.

She felt Thea elbow her while her face turned deep red. Jeru laughed out hard and looked at Zach. "I think your wife here has that silent protest because you missed a lot being in action with her," Jeru countered at Zach.

Keira raised her brows as she put the fresh fruit drinks on the table and sat beside her husband, she did not even bother to defend herself from Jeru.

Zach looked at her and asked, "For real? You're in a protest?" Zach did not even wait for Keira to answer and quickly looked at Jeru who was grinning. "Let's continue this tomorrow. My wife and I need some catching up to do." mumbled Zach who stood up and helped Keira to get up.

"Keira's stomach is bigger than Thea, goodluck!" Jeru bantered and Keira paused and turned to give him a shard look. "I'm having twins duh!!!" Keira protested and Jeru only laughed it out. Thea poked him to signal him to stop or else Keira would throw something to hit him with, anything she could grab.

Zach held Keira's shoulder and said, "Don't mind him, to me you still look s.e.xy."

He knew how much his wife hated it when she would be teased about her growing size. She would always counter those people saying that she would definitely go back to her original shape as soon as the twins were born so he avoided teasing her about her size, though he was tempted often because Keira looked cute with that annoyed look on her face.

Inside the room, Keira abruptly looked at Zach and asked, "Do I look like a big closet? Zach saw the invitation on their desk so he quickly changed the topic. "I still can't believe these two are getting married this soon. I mean, I did not  even hear them romantically involved with each other. But I did find it a bit off that May asked Riley to be her bodyguard…" Zach commented, hoping Keira would let go of the matter of her growing size because he was afraid that she will repine over the same topic the whole night.

"Well, no wonder May asked for Riley because from the start she was targeting him. She was fond of him the moment Riley saved her  from that incident," Keira nonchalantly said. She seemed to forget about the closet thing so Zach stuck on the topic.

"But isn't it a bit rushed? They will marry next week? It's like a whirlwind marriage." Zach voiced out his opinion.

"Hmm, maybe they are in a hurry to give our twins a playmate?" Keira cheerfully responded as she laid her back on the bed.

It was really hard for her during the third trimester of pregnancy because her belly was really big and heavy. She had decided to apply for an early maternity leave in her office  because she found herself getting exhausted too easily nowadays, even though she was doing light work. She smiled imagining Gavin's crumpled face. Gavin had plans to resign soon but it was delayed because he happened to have partners that were both pregnant.

"Come here." Keira called her husband who immediately cuddled her. "Are you really in protest?" mumbled Zach as he stroked Keira's hair. He was honestly controlling himself hard lately because he could feel how uncomfortable his wife was the last time they did it.

He heard Keira chuckle and reply, "Of course not… Cuddling me like this is more than enough. It's actually hard lately. We can wait a bit more. Once I'm back in shape I'll make it up to you…"

"I can't wait to see our twins, Cayden and Stella." mumbled Keira. They already knew the gender of their twins, a boy and a girl, fraternal twins.

"Hmm, I hope our son looks like you. A very manly and handsome boy," Keira dreamily continued as her eyes were starting to get heavy. "Hmm, I hope our daughter's looks will be after you too, pretty and coy but I pray that she won't be as stubborn as you." Zach seconded with a tease.

That instant Keira's eyes widened. She lifted her head to look intently at her husband and burst, "I hope she has my overall character. Hmp! I'm not stubborn. I'm just too hypnotized by my husband's charm who always has me worried for him!"

Zach laughed and pulled her head back on his chest as he muttered, "Alright my star. But still I hope our daughter will not come to the point of running into danger like you just to save her loved one."

"Because she's a girl? Stop that, man and woman are equal nowadays. Women can now do what men can do and I will always support our daughter if she will take after me" defended Keira. Zach laughed and said, "Alright let's just sleep. We are thinking too much in advance here."

The couple both released a sigh. They would soon become a parent and they only hoped to give the best to their children, raise them well and provide them all the love and support they could give.

Before the two dozed off to sleep Keira whispered, "How nice it is to be like this forever, in each other's arms at the end of the day."

"Yes my star, it is and I couldn't ask for more." Zach lovingly added.
