The Kpop Otaku's Dream 13 Big Boy Moves Unedited

The night begins to wind down and I give my greetings.

I can't recall the last time I laughed I felt this way.

I thank Mr and Mrs Bae for the meal and they tell me that their home is always open. Its about 9 pm now and the sun has long set.

Irene leads me out and I follow. Sometime during the night she found the time to change out of her school uniform. She's wearing a black form fitting tracksuit pants and longer line White t-s.h.i.+rt that seems like it 3 sizes to big. She can probably use it as a tent if she wanted too.

Once the door opens, the sight of night is a feast for my eyes.The pitch black skyline is alight with various colors stemming from the nearby office buildings and retail outlets.

I breath in the cold spring air for a second before stepping across the threshold thats separating the inside from outside. I turn to face Irene.

"Goodnight, Joo-hyunssi"

"Goodnight, Dylan"

I stare at her for a second tongue tied before walking away. What else was I suppose to say?

I head towards the gate accompanied only by the sounds of the night and one drunk individual whose signing a SNSD song in the alley. He must be a hardcore fan. At this point in time SNSD wasn't really that popular, it was mainly M.Street and T-ARA . It's a shame what happened to those groups over the next couple of years.

I take my keys out of my pocket and head to where my bike home. While in bed I'm remembering the crazy day I just had.

I proceed to fondle with the piece of paper Irene wrote her number on and ultimately punch the digits in on the screen. I gather my courage and press the call b.u.t.ton and wait.

*Teet* *Teet*

After the dial tone. A women picks up. To my surprise however it's not the person I was expecting. But rather the cold voice of a automated answering service lady.

"The number you have dialed does not exist."

As if it's mocking my plight. It repeats again.

"The number you have dialed does not exist."

IRENE gave me a fake number? There's no way right?

After a few more attempts. I burst out in laughter, turns out I'm still very far from getting the G.o.ddess's attention.

I put the note onto my night stand and lay flat, looking up at the ceiling with my hands supporting my head. I smile while thinking.

This is going to be fun. Real fun.

And before you know it, the first week of my senior year has pa.s.sed.

I haven't mentioned anything to Irene about me knowing that the number she gave me is fake. Rather, I just ignore the topic and deliberately texted others. She glanced over every now and then quizzically, questioning whether she should say something or not but never did.

It's late evening on Friday night. I'm in my apartment sitting in front of the TV watching 'A moment to remember'.

I'm currently trying to pa.s.s time while I wait for the US stock market to open.

During the week I've consistently been thinking of ways to make use of my knowledge of the future.

2008, is a very important year. It is the year of the financial crisis. And while this will mean major cutbacks to various families. It is also a big opportunity for me.
