The bell for lunch rings and we head back to cla.s.s after returning the trays.

Nothing really eventful happens minus a few jealous stares every now and then.

But before I know it, the day ends just like that.

I sling my bag over my shoulder and turn to look for Irene.

She's at the podium in front. Busying herself with cla.s.s monitor things.

Well guess I just have to wait till she's done.

I put my bag back down and out my seat. I lay my head on the table and face her.

Irene is surrounded by the other smart kids they are having a heated discussion this might take a while.

The time pa.s.ses slowly and I find the wind coming from the window cooling. I look out the window and watch the leafs move. My eyes slowly grow heavy and I find myself dosing off.

An unknown amount if time pa.s.ses and I feel a touch on my shoulder. I slowly open my eyes groggily and awaken from my slumber, the blurred reality slowly gains focus and in my view is Irene.

'I could get used to this' I think

I blink my eyes a few times and utter a low grunt.

"Good Morning, beautiful"

Irene laughs and says, "The sun has already set, its evening Mr Sleeping Beauty"

I check my watch and see that's it already 6pm, I slept for quite a while it seems.

"You done with cla.s.s duty stuff?" I ask

She nods in the affirmative.

"Let's go then", I proceed to stand up and pick up my bag lazily.

After I regain my sense of balance. I stretch out my left hand and give her a expectant look.

She slowly gathers her courage and after making sure that there is no-one else present. Slowly, reaches out her small hands and grabs onto mine.

She is kind-of cold at the touch but it's not unpleasant. Rather, the cooling sensation against my skin gives me an electrifying tingle.

I interlock my fingers and feel her soft skin in my grasp.

"Where are we going?" She eventually decides to ask

"I'm taking you home my dear..... It the privilege of your knight"

"Privilege?"

"Yeah, its only the knight who gets to accompany the princess " I nudge her playfully.

She seems to get the gist of my explanation, "I never thought you were this type"

I question her, "What type ? The lovely obsessive type?"

She shows me her curled up fingers and utters "Uuuuugh cringe cringe. NO ANNOYING"

We reach my bike and then embark on the journey of escorting the princess back to her castle.

I stop in front of her house and as she gets off she struggles to say something

"Thanks, but .... you don't have to take me home everyday"

I use my poker face and lie, " It's in the same direction. No big deal. Don't think to much"

On que, she picks up on my BS and says "Oh really? so where do you live?"

"x.x.xX Apartments", I answer. Not realizing that I've just exposed myself.

"That's in the opposite direction. Idiot!" she laughs

"HEY! you couldn't even pretend? Anyway I like being able to spend time with the pretty Baechu. You not changing my mind"

Picking up on where I live, I remember that Irene has been put in charge of getting me up to speed with school work and continue, "Baechu, since the library closes early on Sat.u.r.days, how about we go to my place?"

"Your place?" Her cheeks turn that tomato red once again. I never grow tired of seeing her fl.u.s.tered appearance. Its my personal happiness.

"Are you thinking something naughty? Ohh I never never knew miss cla.s.s monitor was this type. But don't worry you can touch all you want"

"Hahahaha I mean you don't have to worry about getting the place dirty and can touch anywhere" I shrug. " It's agreed then Sat.u.r.day study at my place. I'll pick you up at 8am"

She is astonished at my shameless but concedes anyway.
