Long Yis.h.i.+n signed the discharge papers for Madeline Song. As a physician, she had done a great job in keeping the woman alive and eventually, back in shape. However, as a sister, she felt like a failure.
"Yis.h.i.+n." Suddenly, a deep voice called out to her.
She swiftly turned to the person, her flowy skirt dancing as her d'orsay heels pivoted the floor.
After containing her shock, which lasted for only a couple of seconds, she had her indifferent face again. "Yun-ge."
"Thank you...for everything." Long Yun had a sincere smile.
"It's part of my job." she brushed it off.
"Please don't misunderstand us. We're not teenagers who are only playing. However, we are still not ready to push this through into an ideal setup. Please don't think that she has a bad personality. She is the woman I love. I hope you respect that."
"Hmmn." Long Yis.h.i.+n nodded. "Old dogs can't learn new tricks. Adults are harder to teach than children. It's up to you." She kept her indifferent expression.
"Xiao-s.h.i.+n, about Tang Jinxi..." Long Yun had a sorry expression.
Her indifferent façade shattered.
Her eyes shook and they started to water. She sniffed and gulped, not saying anything.
"Xiao-s.h.i.+n, didn't you insisted before that he had no reason to do what he did?"
Her face contorted into anguish as she shook her head.
"Xiao-s.h.i.+n, Tang Jinxi didn't commit suicide. He was murdered."

"You imbeciles! How could a weak woman escape from you?! Why am I even paying you?!' A gla.s.s ashtray went flying to the wall, turning into pieces as it crashed.
"Mmaster...she escaped by making a hole at the back of the shed..." the frightened subordinate explained.
"I didn't ask how she got out of the shed! I asked you how she escaped from all of you incompetent fools!" Chairman Song growled.
His subordinates were frozen in their spots.
"What are you still doing here?! Find her! With her injuries, she is definitely in a hospital! Get out!"
Every subordinate stumbled to escape from the wrath of their boss.
After heaving for a couple of minutes, Chairman Song finally caught his breath.
He took his phone and dialled a contact.
"h.e.l.lo, Linyu!" He modulated his voice like a true casanova.
Su Linyu, at her end, felt disgusted. She rolled her eyes as her lips contorted.
Yet, she took off the disgust from her tone. "Chairman Song. I'm very sorry about what happened. I will try to speak with Verdan again. I hope that Madeline could reconsider."
"Yeah...of course, I'll make her...ehrm...I'll convince her not to cancel the engagement." Chairman Song was so excited that he had a slip of words.
"I'll also convince Verdan to think it over." Su Linyu still had a weird face as she debated in her mind the advantages and disadvantages of having the old man as her in-law.
At the very least, she likes Madeline Song way better than Xiu Jin's daughter for her son.
"Then, why don't we set another meeting for them? You know, love is sweeter the second time around..." Chairman Song's voice was turning seductive as he had glint in his eyes as he implied another meaning in his words.
Su Linyu caught his drift, but would never sail with it.
"How do you want the young ones to meet?" She kept her pretense of being interested in his proposal.
"Hmmm...since your son is too busy running ZFC, we can arrange for each of them to meet us in a restaurant. Then, we let them meet by themselves. Sounds good, yeah?" Chairman Song told himself that it is only a matter of time before ZFC becomes his.
"I'll see what I can do. Chairman Song, I need to go now."
Before the old man can suggest something else, Su Linyu had already hung up.
She was not even sure if her son will fall for such petty tricks.
However, she needed him to marry someone else.
