Way To The Heavens 50 Snake Lord

"Ladies and gentlemen. Thank you for visiting the battle arena. Today we have four fights in the stone chi fighter division. Starting with the fight between the snake lord and the newcomer, fire bone master." The announcer said as the crowd went wild. "The snake lord has five wins and one loss which would give him four points in general. This will be the first battle for the fire bone master so we will see how he starts off his career."

The bets were flowing in all in favor of the snake lord. Chen Li, Long Yue, and Lee Zheng also put down their bets. They were betting on w.a.n.g Wei to win. The odds were 20:1 so if w.a.n.g Wei won they would be rich.

As both fighters walked in the arena the crowd was cheering for the snake lord.

The arena was a big place. Their fight would take place on a circular stage with a diameter of forty meters. The lights in the arena all shone toward the stage. Both fighters were standing on opposite sides of the stage.

"Ladies and gentlemen I will be the referee for this fight. Are both fighters ready?" The man asked.

w.a.n.g Wei simply nodded and stood there not moving in the slightest. His opponent, however, he summoned his snake scythe and had an evil smile on his face.

"Alright. Begin!" the referee said.

Right after the referee announced the start of the fight the snake lord pounced toward w.a.n.g Wei. His first soul jewel lit up. It was a deep brown soul jewel. His second soul jewel was a pure blue soul jewel.

'Hmpf, he plans to take me down with a ten-year-old and a hundred-year-old unholy soul jewel?" w.a.n.g Wei thought to himself.

The first soul technique the snake lord used increased the sharpness of his scythe. He slashed at w.a.n.g Wei and hit.

The crowd went wild as a dust cloud appeared because of the impact. But they turned silent as soon as they saw w.a.n.g Wei still standing there. Without even a scratch!

"You're pretty strong." The snake lord said.

"Thanks, but you disappoint me." w.a.n.g Wei said.

"What?! Do you know who I am? I am the snake lord! I am one of the stone division's strongest compet.i.tors!" the snake lord said.

"Guess that means I have to rise the ranks if I want to fight some stronger people." w.a.n.g Wei said.

"Don't get c.o.c.ky kid." The snake lord said.

Even though w.a.n.g Wei wore a mask and you couldn't really tell he was thirteen years old. Despite his mask, you could still tell he hasn't reached adulthood yet.

In the next moment the snake lord his second soul jewel lit up and he slashed at w.a.n.g Wei's direction. A purple slash made its way through the air and reached w.a.n.g Wei in no time. However, w.a.n.g Wei stood still and only raised his arms. He summoned the dragon scales and on his arms and neck, the dragon scales were visible. He took the hit like it was nothing.

"What?! How can this be?" The snake lord cried out.

The audience was dead silent. They never saw something like this. A newcomer overpowered a veteran without using soul techniques.

"I guess it is my turn then." w.a.n.g Wei said calmly.

The next moment w.a.n.g Wei held out his hands in front of him as a small fireball came into existence.

"Hahaha. What are you planning to do with that it is so weak you can't do anything." The snake lord said.

But the fireball was starting to grow bigger and bigger. It only stopped growing by the time it had a diameter of half a meter. He then shot it at the snake lord who sliced it apart which resulted in a big explosion. Which left behind a giant smokescreen.

"It is strong but not strong enough." The snake lord said.

In the smoke, the snake lord had a very confident look on his face.

'When the smoke disappears I will attack him with my secret technique. If it works he won't be able to cultivate after this.' The snake lord thought to himself.

But when the smokescreen started fading away. His confident look faded with it. He saw w.a.n.g Wei in a fighting stance only three steps away from him.

When w.a.n.g Wei started moving he felt an overbearing pressure pus.h.i.+ng down on him.

'How can this be? I am a rank twenty-five chi fighter.' The snake lord thought to himself.

First w.a.n.g Wei took a step with his right leg. When it descended the overbearing aura would increase and when it hit the ground it shook the entire arena. He then took a step with his left leg and the same thing happened he then threw out his right fist and when he hit the snake lord it was as if he was. .h.i.tting a soft pillow. He didn't feel any resistance.

The next moment the snake lord flew away and crashed into the wall which left behind a big dust cloud when the cloud faded the snake lord could be seen. He was embedded in the wall like a gem in jewelry.

"Victory goes to the fire bone master. Giving him his first win." The referee said.

After a moment of silence, the crowd burst out in cheers.

"fire bone master!" could be heard as w.a.n.g Wei left the stage.

When w.a.n.g Wei returned to the resting room his friends were he was greeted by an unknown person. It was a tall man who had a very sophisticated look.

"Dear, fire bone master. Your victory has come as quite a shock to everyone. Congratulations." The employee said. "I am the owner of this battle arena. And I am here to give you your prize money."

He handed over an interspatial ring.

"Thank you very much." w.a.n.g Wei said.

"No problem. I hope you will keep fighting in this arena. Your victory has earned you one hundred gold coins." The man said.

'I am rich!' w.a.n.g Wei thought.

One hundred gold coins was a large amount for someone as w.a.n.g Wei who grew up in poverty. That was a little less than the amount of money his family used to make in half a year.

'I can buy a pretty good technique with this money.' w.a.n.g Wei thought to himself.

The man then turned around and face Lee Zheng.

"Snow sky fighter. It is your turn next."
