The Writer's Romance 34 Confused

"M-Mr. White," The woman stutters.

Mr. White has his bodyguard with him.

They were having a conversation on their phones while CJ went to him.

Sheen just stands beside him.

"I heard and I saw what happened," Mr. White looked at the woman.

"The wife of the Vice President Nate of the Queen East Company, I never thought to see you here," He takes her hand and kissed it as a sign of 'respect'.

The woman was shocked at first but she later smirked at Sheen.

Sheen just stand there confused with what Mr. White did.

"I'm sorry about what happened with my a.s.sistant and with my son's behavior," He bowed a little.

Cj, on the other hand, smirks.

Sheen looked at Mr. White and Cj back and forth, 'What is happening?' she thought.

"We'll take our leave then," Mr. White smiles at the woman and held hands with Cj.

"Sheen, let's go!" Cj hops while walking.

"What?" Sheen whispers.

"See? Even Mr. White knows who he is talking with," The woman looked at Sheen starting from her toes to her face.

"Plain. Ugly. A disaster," she said before turning around just to b.u.mp herself on the door.

Sheen didn't even hide her laugh.

But she ran fast when the woman turned around.

Cj laughs while looking back.

"She's so stupid," CJ said.

Sheen was about to reply when she saw Mr. White who's looking straight forward.

'G.o.d, was I wrong to fight back? Of course, it's bad. I'm with his son, I will destroy his name,' Sheen thought.

"Sheen, you did great!" CJ thumbs up.

Sheen fakely smiles.

" John, Doe, you two go back to the company, let Dan do my work," Mr. White said.

The two bodyguards nod.

"Are you finished with what I asked you?" Mr. White asked before they can ride the car.

"Yes, Sir."

Suddenly they heard the scream of a woman inside the building.

Sheen saw the woman running after them.

"Get inside," Mr. White said and the two suddenly had an adrenaline rush and they immediately went inside.

Mr. White followed and sat beside Sheen.

"MISTER WHITE! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?" She looks miserable as she bangs on the window.

He didn't look at her but he just smirked.

CJ looked at her and takes her tongue out.

"Let's go, Mr. Rogers," Mr. White said.

'What happened?' Sheen thought.

For the whole travel, Sheen didn't talk.

She's confused and CJ and Mr. White are talking together about something but she can't understand them.

She's on her own thoughts.

They stopped at the amus.e.m.e.nt park.

"YES!" Cj shouted, almost deafening Sheen.

Mr. White was the first one to get out then Sheen but she b.u.mped her head on the car while going out, making her bounce down to the floor.

"Ouch," she rubs her head.

"You okay, Sheen?" Cj asks.

"Yes," Sheen suddenly saw Mr. White offer his hand.

"Stand, the floor's dirty," he said.

She takes his hand.

'Wow, strong arms,' she thought.

"I told Daddy to cheer you up, and amus.e.m.e.nt parks make people happy so I told him to bring you here. You weren't answering earlier when we asked you where you want to go," Cj runs to the entrance, "LET'S GO!" he shouts.

"Uh, yeah. Sorry about that," Sheen follows Cj but Mr. White's been holding her hand since she stands up.

She was pulled back by Mr. White, she almost b.u.mped on his chest.

"Sorry," Sheen didn't look at Mr. White.

Mr. Rogers, on the other hand, follows Cj.

"I am sorry with what happened, I didn't think that you'll get in a fight," Mr. White's words are again, confusing.

'Is he angry that I fight back?' Sheen asks herself.

"I didn't think she'll even publish such article, don't worry we turned the page down and every link connected to it," Mr. White's grasps suddenly tightens.

It's a securing grasp.

Sheen suddenly felt secured.

"Your hands are now bigger than mine!" Sheen raises their hand as she just noticed that when they were young her hands are bigger than Clark's.

And then she just internalized that they are holding hands together.

Their fingers are intertwined!

She pulls her hands and held it close to her chest.

"I am sorry to put you in such situations and it raised gossips about you," Mr. White puts his hand inside his pocket.

"Yeah, don't worry. It's not a big deal, I've been through worst," Sheen said while looking for Cj and Mr. Rogers.

"Worst?" Mr. White suddenly grew suspicious and concerned with what Sheen said.

"Yeah," Sheen answers.

She didn't read that Mr. White wants an answer more than a 'yeah.'

"Where are they?" Sheen's looking around for CJ but they are nowhere to be found.

Mr. White's texting Mr. Rogers.

'Let CJ have fun, let me and Sheen alone for a while. Just call me when CJ wants to go home, he knows about this.' Mr. White texted.

"Do you see them?" Sheen asks.

"No, he's with Mr. Rogers. They'll be fine."

"Oh," Sheen suddenly looked down.

She thought she's going to have fun with CJ.

"Do you want to be with CJ?" Mr. White asks, afraid that she'll say yes.

"Uh, yeah..."

Mr. White was about to text Mr. Rogers to bring Cj when Sheen continued her words.

"But he's already having fun, I don't mind keeping you company," Sheen smiles at Mr. White.

"So, what's your favorite ride?" Mr. White asks as he looks around the rides.

"I don't feel like riding anything, I'm..." suddenly her stomach growls.

"CJ hasn't eaten yet," She didn't hear her own stomach but she thought of CJ.

It's lunchtime.

"He must be hungry," she looked at Mr. White.

"He has money, he'll eat if he's hungry," he started walking while texting Mr. Rogers to feed Cj.

"Are you sure?" Sheen followed him until they are in front of a restaurant.

"You should eat," Mr. White opens the door to the restaurant inside the amus.e.m.e.nt park.

There are a lot of people but they are lucky that there's still an available two-seat table.

Mr. White pulls the chair for Sheen.

"Oh, thank you," she said shyly with a light blush as she sits.

Mr. White takes his seat as a waiter gave them the menu.

"What do you like to eat, Miss Sheen?" Mr. White asks.

Sheen almost choke on air when she saw the prize.

It's triple from the prize that she pays for her meal.

"Uh, water?" She shyly answers.

"Grilled Pork Ribeye Steak and Country Fried Chicken, and 2 lemon tea," Mr. White orders.

He sounded authorizing even when he's ordering.

"Thank you, I'll pay you later," Sheen shyly smiles.

"Don't bother, that's my payment for going with CJ today," Mr. White smiles at her.

They are sitting beside the gla.s.s window and they can clearly see the people pa.s.s by.

"And, since today is mother's day, we have 25% off for mothers!"

Sheen suddenly laughs, but when she heard the 25% off, "YES! We'll take it."

Mr. White was about to clear things when Sheen suddenly took the promo.

As the waiter walks away, Sheen smiled apologetically.

"It's a promo?" Sheen whispers.

"It's fine. I'm so sorry about that, I will talk to the manager. They shouldn't a.s.sume about matters like that," Mr. White was about to stand up.

"No, no, that's fine!"

'Do I look that old and stressful?' Sheen thought while thinking about it.

"No, in businesses like these.." Mr. White suddenly saw Cj at the window.

They were talking a picture of him and Sheen.

CJ winks at him and Mr. Rogers has his thumbs up.

He slightly blushes.

"Come on, Sir, let that slide."

Sheen was about to hold his hand when he suddenly sits while his face was a little red.

"Are you okay, sir?" Sheen asks.

"Yes," he clears his throat, "I'll let this pa.s.s, then."

Their orders came after a few minutes.

"Wow, this does look expensive," Sheen takes her phone out and took a picture of her food.

"Why are you taking a photo?" Mr. White asks.

"Memories. On this day, I had lunch with Mr. White," She suddenly took a picture of Mr. White off guard, "And I eat this," she took a picture of her food.

As she checks the photo, Mr. White turns so fine on the photo. His expression was serious, it's as if he's modeling.

"So fine," she whispers.

"What's fine?" He asks.

"What? Uh, the food. It's so fine for the prize," she hides her phone on her bag.

"Let's eat," Sheen took a bite.

"This is so good, it fits the prize."

Mr. White saw Cj eating cotton candy.

"Where are Mr. Rogers and CJ?" Sheen suddenly asks.

"Somewhere," he watches CJ walk with Mr. Rogers to another ride.

"Anyways, can I ask what happened earlier? Why did the woman follow us? She's even screaming."

Mr. White suddenly stops eating.

"Nothing, it does not concern you," and once again, his words came a bit harsh.

"Sorry," Sheen looks at her food.

Mr. White breathes in.

"It's not like that, it just came exactly during your fight with her, I just read it on the news, her husband got fired that time and she thought it's my fault," Mr. White looks at Sheen.

"Oh," Sheen didn't look at him.

She felt like she's not a friend of Mr. white when he talks like that.

It's as if she's not part of his life.

"Look, Sheen." Mr. White tilted his head to see Sheen's face.

"I'm having a hard time talking normally with people, you know that. I'm an awkward person. But please, if you can't understand the things I say, tell me. I won't be angry to explain. I didn't mean to sound rude," Mr. White, still tilting his head, waited for Sheen to look him.

"That's alright for you?" Sheen looks at him with her head still bowed down.

"Yes," Mr. White continued on eating.

Sheen's phone suddenly rings.

It's Wyn.

"Uh, I need to take this call," Sheen stands up and Mr. White just nods.

Sheen went to the comfort room and answered the call.

"Hey, Wyn!" She greeted.

"Yeah, tell Bea thanks. I already pa.s.sed the article. Anyways, I quitted from Kady's company. I'll be taking a vacation, can I stay at your place? I am going to meet someone there, it'll be for.. uh, two days?"

"Oh, I think... yes, you can. But why did you quit? You can take vacation leave, you know."

"Family problems."

"You sound like a teenager."

"Yeah, I'm still young."

"Stupid."

"Anyways, how are you? I thought you'll not answer since you have a job."

"I'll tell you when you get here, I'll send you my address."

"Yeah, I have a lot of things to tell you too."

"Oh, I'm excited."

"Yeah, see you."

"Yeah... Hey, Sheen."

"Yep?"

"I missed you."

*beep*

"What was that? He didn't even wait for my answer."

She smiles, "Yeah, I miss you too."

Even though their relations.h.i.+p's a mess.

She still sees Wyn as a friend.
