The Writer's Romance 4 Chapter 4

"You're too blind," he whispers before Sheen disappears then made his way to the parking lot.

Sheen ran too fast towards the door, making her stumble a bit. Good thing Blue caught her by his arms. "Woah, easy there," he said, smirking. "You know, you shouldn't expect me to catch you everytime you stumble since you don't want to catch me." The last part was too faint to be heard by Sheen who is still embarra.s.sed. Blue notices and asks, "Hey, what's the problem? You seem to have tons of problems today." he puts his arm around Sheen who is sulking. "Uh, nothing. I'm just... I'm good." She said, walking away from him. He knows that she's tired and he knows exactly what to do! "Hey!" he shouts, "Wanna eat street foods?" Sheen suddenly stops, Blue smirk's widens. "C'mon!" Sheen turns around looking at him with a small smile forming from her lips. She walks a little faster towards him, "Let's go!" They went opposite to their way home, stopping by a small stall which sells street foods. The frying sound and the smell made both of their stomach growl. "I'll have two fishb.a.l.l.s, two kikiam, and one squid b.a.l.l.s," Sheen said while pointing to each of her orders. "Well, then I'll have three kikiam and two tokneneng." Blue said, reaching for his wallet but Sheen's hand stopped him while holding a money, "Nope, my treat!" Sheen pays immediately. After their orders were made, they sit in a nearby park while eating their street foods, talking and laughing. Sheen's phone suddenly rings and she felt frightened when she saw who is calling, she is not sure whether she will answer or not but Blue swiped answer. "What the! Why?!" She shouts, Blue smirking, "It's your Mom. You love her." What was that, she thought. "Mom, yeah. What! Yeah, sorry I forgot. Yep, bye." Blue knows what is happening, he knows that if he let Sheen home right now, she may not be single tomorrow. "So?" he asks, "Going home?" Sheen stands up and throws the cups. "Yeah, let's go."

"I am very sorry Sir, she will be home any minute." Sheen's mom, apologetically says while her hands intertwined. "No problem, Ma'am. We need to go now, we will be seeing you tomorrow. Thank you for your hospitality." The man says before leaving. "Ugh! That girl, she will be missing the opportunity to get married to such a lovely and well-known man!" Her mom says, cleaning the table.

"Then, I'll see you tomorrow." Blue waves his hand, Sheen says her goodbye but when he saw the man going out of Sheen's house and riding his car, he suddenly grabbed Sheen. "Uh, there's a bit of sauce in your chin," then brushed the neat chin of Sheen while glancing and watching the car to pa.s.s. "Thanks! But I can clean that up, the house's just a walk away," Sheen said, "Bye!" she bid once more. "That guy, he should've told me that he's already going home," he said kicking a small stone. "letting his boss walk on his feet, what a guard!" Blue smiles when he sees Sheen waving at him from her room, "she'll remember later," then he left.

"What a day! I need romance to write that bomb a.s.s book, but I don't have one," looking at her face in the mirror, "Who'll like a plain girl like me?" she touches her face tracing her nose then her lips, and it hit her. "Wait... Blue, he was trying to ki-ki--" she turned red and she shouts "Ahh!" falling down on her feet, "I forgot about that. So, that's why he kept on asking me if we were fine." She cupped her face, then she slapped it. "Stupid! You should've forgotten about it."

After showering, her phone rings. "Hey, Bea! Yeah," Bea, her cousin is a famous T.V. reporter, she found out about the nomination and wants to know how will she be able to write a romance novel. "...that was the list of plots that I thought, yeah I know, it's cliche." Sheen combs her hair, they have been talking for almost an hour, "no, I was not able to see him." she thought about cutting her hair while looking at the mirror but got distracted when her eyes landed on her lips once again, remembering what happened. "It might've been my first kiss." she thought. "I don't know why Mom put me in an arranged marriage. Am I too old? I'm only 28!" yellow pajamas is her vibes right now, putting them on. "How about you write about YOUR romance?" her cousin suggests, "I know you don't have any love on your body right now, but why not talk about your relations.h.i.+p with guys, and make something out of it? I mean, just make it as a basis." Bea loves to write, but it is mostly about reports on news, but she has a point. She can if she will be able to take her imaginations with guys around her to a new next level. And then she thought about Blue once again, and blushed, "Yeah, I'll try."
