The Writer's Romance 56 Loosen Up And Happy

"Okay, please print these," Clark handed a white flash drive to Sheen, "All of the files that are in the Meeting 908 Folder. Thank you."

From being absent for the following days, all of them are busy to finish the work they left.

Sheen took the flash drive with a thick folder and papers on her hands, "Okay, what time do you need it?" She asks since she's still printing other files on her office.

"After an hour, is that alright?" Clark asks without looking at her. He taps his pen on his cheek while reading a letter request for publis.h.i.+ng.

Sheen sighs, the printer is already working the moment she arrived.

Clark went to work early to print the other files to lessen her work but it's still a lot.

Sheen suddenly regretted being absent.

She didn't feel the pressure like Bea the other day but now, it's slowly eating her.

Clark looks at Sheen since all she answered to his question is a sigh, it's still morning but she looks tired. Her eyes look so stressed and keep on sighing. Of course, she's not used to this type of job. She's a writer. Someone who sits in front of her paper while her mind works non-stop, not her body.

"Hey," Clark said but Sheen didn't hear and is about to go out, "Sheen," he called again, making Sheen turn around.

"Yes?"

"Sit down for a while," Clark stands up and went to Sheen.

"Come on," Clark took the folders and papers from her hands.

She looks at him, exhausted and sad because Clark saw past through her.

She wants to finish the work he needs but it's just overwhelming for her.

His comforting voice made her sigh again, "Sorry," she whispered.

Clark smiled and placed the folder and paper on his table.

"Don't be. People get tired, and how can I let my best friend continue working when she's already tired? You can take a break," Clark looks at Sheen while standing beside his table.

Sheen went and sits on the couch, 'Best Friend?' she thought and leans.

"I'll get something to drink, what do you want? I'll have iced tea," Clark asks while standing on the door.

"Um... Can I have grape juice? I just kind of had a craving for it," Sheen smiles.

Clark's forehead creased suddenly.

There's no grape juice on the company's vending machine.

Sheen suddenly realized that and blushed, "Oh, I forgot we don't have any----"

"No, no, I'll get it. Just rest, okay?" Clark said and closed the door, leaving Sheen embarra.s.sed for her request.

She internally screamed and slaps her face, "How could I let my boss get me something that is not in our company's vending machine? This is so... ugh!"

Clark walks fast and went to the convinient store in front of the building.

The other staffs of the company got surprised to see him walk outside the building during working hours.

Even though it's break time or lunch, they never saw him leave his office, but for the first time, they saw him eager to go out to buy something at the convinient store.

The news spread fast, and when he came back, Dan is already standing in front of the building, waiting for him.

His arms are crossed with an annoyed face, "Now, what happened? Why did you leave your lair? When I was your a.s.sistant, you kept ordering me to go out to buy you things but I see now that you went out yourself. Where's Sheen? Huh!?" Dan asks with an irritated voice.

Clark just looks at him and walks away.

"WHAT THE h.e.l.l!" Dan exclaimed while watching Clark enter the elevator.

Sheen lays on the couch while Clark's out, comforting herself while thinking about the things she needs to do.

She suddenly hums a song that pops into her mind.

She loves singing but due to being more dedicated to writing she forgot about it.

She can hit high notes effortlessly and due to being absorbed to the song, she sits with her eyes closed and sings the whole song while swaying her body and moving her hands around in sync with her voice.

She nods her head while imagining the background music.

Clark stops in front of his office door while listening to Sheen's voice.

'Wow, she sings so well,' he thought and took his phone to record her voice.

"All that you got, skin to skin, oh my G.o.d

Music calms her body and minds aside from writing since it does much brain work.

She moves nearer to the center table and started tapping it while humming to the next song.

Clark can't help but smile.

"This could take some time, hey

I made too many mistakes

Better get this right, right, baby"

Her voice resonates well in the office that she wants to do a concert.

She stands up while enjoying and dancing, still closing her eyes every time she sings.

"How can you be so talented?" Clark enters but seems like Sheen didn't hear him.

She just keeps on singing.

Clark then opened her camera and takes a video of Sheen dancing and singing around.

Dan followed Clark since he has to make him sign some papers and as he nears his office, he hears Sheen singing since the door is open.

"Wow, Bea needs to hear this," Dan took his phone and started videoing.

He just stands outside the door, and when he peeks in, he saw Clark smiling wide while taking a video as well, "Wow, you really look stupid in love," he said and smirks.

They were both enjoying their time when suddenly Clark's phone rings.

Sheen stops singing and turned around, with a surprised face.

As she stares at Clark who talks on his phone, her face gets redder every second while realizing what she was doing.

"Ahhh!" Sheen bends her knees and covers her face.

Clark laughs then cleared his throat since he's talking to someone respected.

Dan laughs outside, making Sheen look at the door.

"Thank you, Sir," Clark turns off his phone and went to the door.

"Oh, gosh. Her expression is the best!" Dan said while holding the paper in his hands that are on his stomach from laughing.

Clark raised his eyebrow but while hearing Dan's laughs, he can't resist but laugh and then he cleared his throat, "What do you need? You were irritated earlier."

Dan wipes the tears on his eyes from laughing and gave Clark the papers, "Here, sign it."

Sheen suddenly appeared with the folder and papers on her arms, leaving the office.

"I'm fine now, I'll continue my work," she said with a blank expression.

Clark and Dan smiled.

"You're good!" Dan said.

Clark made a straight face again, "I got your grape juice," he took the juice from the paper bag and gave it to Sheen.

"REALLY? JUST FOR HER GRAPE JUICE, YOU WENT OUT?" Dan yelled, making Clark cover his ears while Sheen blushes with a shocked face.

She thought Clark made someone else go out to buy a grape juice, but he did himself.

"You're really something, Sheen, you made Boss leave his office just for a gr--"

Clark took the papers and gave Sheen the grape juice and closed the door.

Sheen tries to hide her smile and walks away from Dan.

Clark sits down with a wide smile while staring at the video he captured earlier.

He never thought she could sing or that she likes music.

She's always the writer she's well-known for and it makes Clark somewhat proud to hear her sing beautifully.

He can feel that she's getting more comfortable as she slowly tries to show who she is and her emotions.

On the other side, Sheen hits the wall with the pillow from the couch on her office.

"Why didn't I notice he was there? What if he hates my voice? What if he was laughing while watching me? What if my dancing looks ridiculous?" She whispered while pulling her hair.

Clark, while watching her video, smiles uncontrollably, and forgetting about signing Dan's papers, whispered, "She's so cute."

While Sheen tries to forget about what happened, with a stiff expression, printing the files, whispered, "I just destroyed my last sting of pride."

Dan walks back and forth in front of Clark's office, waiting for about 10 minutes already.

But all he hears is Clark's giggles while watching Sheen's videos.

"Okay, that's it. He can fall in love but he shouldn't let it make him dumb," he whispered and opened the door, "Hey! You done signing?" He asks.

Clark looks at Dan and turned off the video.

He looks at the papers and without reading them, he immediately signed and stands up to give it to Dan.

"Here, you're disturbing my work."

Dan looks at him, "You're really different when you're in love. Honestly, this is the only time you noticed that you love her?" he said and enters the office.

"What do you mean?" Clark asks.

"I mean, you know, after Cha's wedding, you suddenly called me. Then remember what you just told me?" Dan teased.

Clark clears his throat and looks away.

Dan smiled and mimicked the voice of a girl who's fangirling, "Sheen is very beautiful! I can't take my eyes off her!"

Clark facepalms while blus.h.i.+ng.

Since he does not have anyone to tell what he was feeling, he decided to call Dan.

After staring too much, his heart can't handle her beauty anymore.

"Yes, I did tell you that. And I don't think it is wrong to state a fact."

"I know but I mean, after the reception, you told me that you love her. I know you were tipsy that night, but I know you remember what you said, 'I think I love her already!" Dan laughs.

Clark sighs with the childish talk his friend is trying to have, so much for someone who's getting married already.

"Can we go back to work already?"

Dan snorted and open the door, "You know, it's good to see you loosen up and happy."
