The Writer's Romance 59 The Plan

"Is this enough?" Clark asks Dan who stares at him with surprised.

Dan's mouth is wide open with his eyebrow raised in disbelief.

It's a lunch break and Clark called Dan just to ask him one thing:

"Will she like it?" Clark looks at the life-sized teddy bear, extravagant large flower bouquet, shopping bags which contains dresses and shoes, and heart-shaped box of chocolate.

Last night, as he thinks about how he will confess for today, he can't come up with an idea and searched the internet about how to ask someone out.

And he listed everything that you can give to the lady wherein he decided to buy all of the items that he found to be fancied by girls.

Dan ma.s.sages his head, "This is too much, Boss. I mean, this is nice if the girl you're trying to get is someone like Dona. But it's Sheen, it's more appropriate if you gave her books or just flowers. But..." he sighs and looks at the teddy bear, "This is your choice. If she likes you, she'll like this too. I mean, she's your friend, she will like everything you give her."

The items were exactly delivered when Sheen has gone out with Bea.

Clark contacted Bea to help him which she was excited to do.

"You're right. I'll call someone to throw these out, I'll keep the bouquet," Clark sighs and leans on his table.

"No! Don't throw it, I was just saying this from my opinion. It's just funny, you don't know how to ask someone out? You're like, a lady-killer but it's just your look," Dan laughs.

Clark looks at him sharply.

He doesn't want to act weird again.

If he won't let Sheen know what he feels, he might continue acting weird if he keeps it to himself.

It's better if he finds out where he can stand in Sheen's life.

As a friend?

As a boss?

As someone who can love her until the end?

Where?

"Just chill, Boss. Let's plan, okay?" Dan went near Clark and put his hand on his chin, "So, what are you planning to do?"

Clark crossed his arms and looks down with his forehead creased because he knows his plan is lame, "Just call her here and ask her."

"What? That's boring with all these gifts! You have to use this, okay?"

Clark looks at Dan in confusion, "How?"

Dan smiled widely almost showing his gums, "Does that bouquet has a letter in it? I mean, did you write her a letter?" he pointed at the bouquet on top of the table.

"No, but it has a card in it. I was planning to write something like: For Sheen" Clark looks at Dan with raised eyebrows, waiting for his opinion.

"Okay, this is the plan...." Dan leans to Clark and whispered what he has in mind.

Clark smiles as his heartbeat raised with excitement while nodding in approval.

"It's not that surprising, but all that matter is tonight. You have to do it or else the excitement will be gone tomorrow," Dan smirks as Clark takes a deep breath, "Use that confidence today, Boss."

"He took a video of you singing?" Bea asks while laughing.

They are on their way back to the company with full stomachs.

"Yes, and it was very embarra.s.sing. And I took a photo of him last night while he was sleeping on his office and he suddenly woke up," Sheen cries.

Bea can't stop laughing as they enter the company.

Sheen just pouts and looks away with a slight blush but suddenly the guard handed her a heart-shaped box of chocolates with a wide smile on his face.

"Oh? What is this for?" Bea asks with a smirk behind Sheen since she knows what is happening after Dan texted her.

"Someone wants Ma'am Sheen to have it, Ma'am Bea," the guard answered and left.

"Oh, what is this?~" Bea teased.

Sheen just stands frozen with the chocolates on her hands.

This brand is the same chocolate that she used to eat every day when she was young with Bea and her very best childhood friend.

When Bea saw the brand, she facepalms.

Only her and Clark knows that Sheen loves this chocolate.

"Hey," Bea forced a smile, "Who do you think----"

Sheen walks away with a fl.u.s.tered face.

She knows who gave it but she's not yet sure.

Why would he give her chocolates?

Is it some form of extra pay for making him and Cj breakfast?

"Hey! That's really disrespectful, I was talking!" Bea shouted as she follows Sheen to the elevator.

"You know what?" Bea takes a deep breath, ever since she got pregnant she's having a hard time doing some things such as running.

"I'll tell Dan later, I really can't pretend that I don't have a mini-Dan inside me."

Sheen hugs the chocolate box with a slight smile which made Bea make a disgusted face since it's really obvious that Sheen's in love with Clark and she just doesn't it herself.

If Clark confesses today, Sheen will understand what she feels and eventually both of them will date.

Bea went to her office while Sheen went back to hers to encode files for the company.

Clark's office is closed which means he's busy working and he can't be disturbed.

"This is a pay for today's breakfast, maybe he liked it so... yeah," Sheen tugs her hair behind her ears as she puts down the chocolate on the table but suddenly someone knocked on her door.

She smiled widely with her heart skipping as hurriedly opens the door, expecting that it's him who's seeing her.

"Heyyyyyy~" Wyn exclaimed and smiled.

Kady, Blue, and Elgeen are with him.

Her smile suddenly vanished and showed a straight face, "Hi."

Wyn raised his eyebrow with how Sheen suddenly lost her interest.

"What was that?" he asks.

Blue and Elgeen smiled since they knew why she did that since they both already had a hunch of what is happening between her and Clark.

Kady laughs as they enter her office.

"I am working, why are you here?" Sheen asks in a monotone.

"Woah, easy there, do you want us to leave?" Wyn suddenly threw an annoyed face.

Sheen sighs and sits in front of her laptop, "Sorry, that's not what I meant. I was just..." she closed her eyes and sighs.

"You're expecting for someone else, right?" Kady said as he sits on the couch with Blue and Elgeen.

Wyn put his hand on his waits and looks at Sheen, trying to find out if it's true.

"Nooooooo," Sheen said and put her hands on her face.

"Who is it?" Wyn looks at Kady in disbelief that it is true, she's expecting someone else but his eyes suddenly saw the chocolate box.

"YOU'RE DATING SOMEONE?" He yelled and took the chocolate box.

Sheen just stares at him, "No, I am not. Someone gave that to me, but why are you guys here anyway?"

Wyn looks at the box intently, looking for a clue who might have given it.

"About the banquet, remember? It's this Sat.u.r.day. And Elgeen has something to give to you too," Blue laughs while looking at Wyn being jealous.

"Oh," Sheen looks at Elgeen who holds a large paper box.

"Well, since both of us almost has the same size, I decided to give you one of the dresses I used to wear during a fas.h.i.+on show. It's not really my type because of the color, I like dark colors and light colors are good on you sooo..." Elgeen stands up and put the paper box in front of Sheen and she pulls the cover to show her the dress.

"So, this is a dress of Sherri Hill style 11335, it's lace deep V bodice with tulle ball gown skirt and beaded belt, a nude color. Yes, that's how they describe it," Elgeen laughs and showed Sheen the whole dress.

Sheen looks at it in awe with its beauty but since she's not used in showing that much skin she shakes her head, "I'm sorry, Elgeen. That looks expensive and I can't wear that. My back will feel cold," she frowns.

Elgeen smiles, "They gave it to me for free and you won't feel cold. I promise. You can wear this and slay the banquet."

Wyn looks at the dress, "This will look perfect on you. You'll look like a princess," he commented making Sheen snort.

"What are you saying? Elgeen will be the one looking like a princess. I'm not... pretty," Sheen's voice went faint as she realizes she's being insecure.

Kady stands up and took the dress, "Come here, let's see if you will really feel uncomfortable wearing this."

They all looked at Kady in confusion, "Just stand up, I'll see if we have to adjust some measurements to make you comfortable."

Sheen stands up, Kady knows what type of dress Sheen wears since they all used to go to parties and banquets before together when they were young.

Sheen stands up and Blue went to check as well.

Kady put the dress on Sheen's back, "Well, the back is this deep," he pointed to make her feel how deep the opening is, "Is it deep? We can adjust to make it until here maybe."

Elgeen nods while Blue looks at the dress.

"I think we should just adjust the size to make it tighter. She'll not feel the almost backless design if it's tight enough," Elgeen commented.

Sheen looks at her, "Yeah, maybe..." she said shyly as she notices that everyone's staring at her.

"Okay, then I'll take your measurements. Where's the comfort room?" Elgeen took her bag and looks at the door beside the drawer.

"You can take her measurements here," Wyn jokes as he takes his sit.

Sheen opened the door of the bathroom, "Here," she said and looks at Elgeen.

"Shut your perverted mouth, Wyn. I'll be the first to see her body," Elgeen sticks out her tongue and went inside.

Sheen smiles as she locks the door.

"Okay, take off your blouse. We have to be specific if you want it to be tight," Elgeen took her measuring tape from her bag, "I took this because I know we have to change things. And don't worry, I'll be the one who'll fix the measurement."

Sheen took off her blouse, "I see. Thank you, Elgeen. I was really worried about what to wear to the banquet."

"No worries," Elgeen started measuring.

"Okay, 34-23-35, you can be a model with this. Anyways, I'll finish it and send it tomorrow."

While they are talking inside the comfort room, someone suddenly knocks on the door outside and Blue opened it.

"Oh, what is this?" Blue asks the same guard who gave the chocolates to Sheen.

"Sir, these are for Ma'am Sheen, someone wants to give it to her," the guard handed Blue the shopping bags which has dresses and shoes.

"Oh, okay," he said and takes the bags.

"Thank you, Sir."

The guard went away and Blue closed the door.

"What is that?" Wyn asks.

Kady just looks at the shopping bag, it's an expensive brand and basing from the chocolates which he once saw Sheen enjoying when they were young, the only one who can get this gifts is him.

He clicked his tongue and stands up, "I'll leave you. I have to meet someone."

"Okay," Blue said and sits.

"See you later," Wyn waves goodbye.

Kady closed the door and stared sharply at Clark's office, "If you ever hurt her, I promise you, you'll feel her pain twice as much," he whispered and went to the elevator.
