The Writer's Romance 71 Ignoring Me

"Why are you blus.h.i.+ng, Mommy? You two are acting weird, you know? Yesterday you weren't even talking but now you're blus.h.i.+ng..." Cj looks at Sheen confused while eating breakfast.

Clark chuckles, "Nothing, Cj, and what did I tell you about talking while eating?"

Cj makes a face at Clark and continued eating.

"By the way, Sheen, I want to remind you that we have a date later," Clark said with a smile at Sheen, making her blush even more.

Sheen nods and looks away, she hasn't moved on about what happened last night and even ended up sleeping late.

Cj looks at Clark and then at Sheen, "Date? You guys are going for a date? Can I come too?"

"Why is it called a date if there are three people, Cj?" Clark looks at Cj with a glare, avoiding him to ruin their date.

Cj pouts, "Can we have a date too, Mommy?" he asks, looking at Sheen with puppy eyes.

"Yes, of course. I'd love to have a date with you," Sheen smiles.

Cj looks at Clark and sticks out his tongue.

"By the way, Cj, Sheen already knows you're not my son," Clark said nonchalantly.

Sheen got surprised and looks at Clark with wide eyes.

Cj looks at Sheen, "Oh."

He suddenly looks down, scared that Sheen might not look at him the same way as her 'son' since he's not really Clark's son.

Sheen panics and held Cj's hand with a genuine smile to a.s.sure him that nothing will change, "It's fine, Cj. I still see you as my little boy, you're still my baby, okay?"

Cj frowns, "I love you, Mommy!"

"I love you too," Sheen said and hugs Cj who went down of his seat to go to her.

"Okay, just finish your breakfast and get down from her lap," Clark said as he finishes his tea.

Cj looks at Clark with a devious smile, trying to make him jealous that Sheen's hugging him.

Clark almost spits his tea, "Sheen, put him down. Cj, get ready or we'll leave without you."

"Mommy won't leave me behind, right?" Cj asks with a pout while looking and hugging Sheen tightly.

"Y-yeah..." Sheen awkwardly smiles when she saw Clark glaring at Cj, "Just get ready now." She puts down Cj and watches him go out of the kitchen.

"You shouldn't spoil him," Clark said and takes the plates from the table.

"Wow, hearing that from you seems weird. Anyway, let me do that and you be ready yourself, Clark," Sheen stands up and took Clark's hand away from the sink.

Clark smirks, "What's this, you weren't this 'touchy' before," he chuckles and put his arms around his waist.

Sheen smiles, "Can't I be touchy slash clingy to my future husband, hm, Mister?" She rests her head on his chests and hugs him back, "I missed you," she said as she tightens the hug.

Clark rests his head and rubs it on her head, "I, too, missed you for that day. I think I should keep you around while I am thinking but I still won't talk to you," he chuckles.

"Aw, that's sweet and.. weird.., and really? Can you resist not talking to the love of your life even if you're angry?"

They started taking steps, almost looking like they're dancing around the kitchen while in each other's arms.

"That will be hard, but if it makes me or us better, I will do it."

"Aw, you're hurting my feelings, Clark. But I think I will do the same if I get upset so we're even but I will lock myself out from you."

"I haven't seen you do that to me yet, and from what I see you seem to be straight forward and you don't need to hide, Sheen."

"Is that so?"

"Yes."

"So how many kids do you want?"

"Four... no, six."

"That's tiring, Clark! I can't run around running and chasing six kids all day!" Sheen chuckles.

"Hey! I was standing here for a while now, can't you see me?" Cj shouted while carrying two jackets.

Sheen and Clark looks at their right and saw Cj standing in the entrance with a very angry face.

"What should I take? This one or this?" Cj asks waving the wool jacket and the cotton blue jacket, "And Daddy, we'll leave you if you're not ready!"

"Just take the blue one," Sheen said and let Clark go, "You should get ready too."

Clark stared at Cj then ran to him, scaring Cj then carried him then tickles his stomach with Clark's kisses, "Mommy! Daddy's killing me!" He shouted in between laugh.

Sheen just looks at them and chuckles, 'Gosh, I'm so lucky to have these guys,' she thought and did the dishes.

"I have a business trip to the south, Sheen, next week. Please schedule it and you have to go with me," Clark said while they are having a quick break on his office.

He's eating a cinnamon bread with grape juice with Sheen while they are sitting on the couch in his office.

"I never thought that Presidents take time to have a snack before. I thought all they did is work and work, you know," Sheen chuckles.

Clark looks at her, "Well, I used to do that but since my dearest a.s.sistant has to take a break, I too will since she's also my fiancee and spending time with her is worth more than working."

They stared at each other with a smile for quite some time, "Have I told you this?" Clarks asks and moves closer to Sheen and put cuffs Sheen's face, "You're so beautiful."

Sheen blushes, "And you're my dearest, Clark."

"Ehem, boss," Dan called out while peeking on the door.

"What is it?" Clark irritatedly asks and stands up.

"Well, I am sorry for interrupting, but we have an emergency," Dan opened the door and went inside.

"What is it now?" Clark asks as he takes the folder that Dan is carrying.

"Lee Mar Publication? Isn't that Mr. Gerwyn's company? This is a threat but since he's a friend, I don't see any problem with putting a company in our city," Clark put the folder in his table, "We should make him a business partner, right, Sheen?"

Sheen nods while eating her cinnamon, "Yeah, he'll like that. Let me give him a quick call."

Sheen took her phone and dials Wyn's number but he doesn't pick up.

She tried three times and sent him a message, "He's not answering, Clark. Maybe he's busy. I'll just call Blue."

After a few rings, Blue picks up, "Hey, what's up?"

"Is Wyn with you?"

"Yeah, he is. Why?"

"I was trying to call him but he won't answer. Are you guys busy?"

"What? No! We're eating at a restaurant, I just have to go out to buy something but I am sure he's not busy. He's been in and out of the hotel for some reasons and kept distance but now he's back, do you want me to call him?"

Sheen gulps as her hands go cold, "No, I'm fine. I mean... can you tell him to call me back later? I think he's avoiding me."

Clark and Dan saw her pained expression and looks at each other.

"Okay. Hey, don't be down. I know he must've not heard his phone ring..." Blue enters the restaurant and saw Gerwyn holding his phone and glared at it for a while then put it back on his pocket, "I'll call you back later and I promise he'll call back."

"Okay. Thank you, Blue."

"No problem, Sheen. See you at lunch."

Sheen turns off the call and leans on the couch and took a deep breath.

"Are you okay, Sheen?" Clark asks.

"You look down," Dan commented as he walks towards the door.

"Nothing, where's Bea?"

"She's doing something and she can't talk to anyone, she's so stressed. Hey, Clark can you give her a break?"

"No, your wedding's near and if I give her some time, you guys will spend a short honeymoon."

Dan sighs, "Oh, I see. Anyways, call me when Mr. Lee accepted the partners.h.i.+p," he said and went out of the door.

"What happened?" Clark asks as he sits down to finish his grape juice.

"Well," Sheen said and sighs, "I think Wyn's avoiding me. He's ignoring my calls, I know it. But why?"

"Yes, why? If you don't know why, he might not be ignoring your calls. He's just busy."

"But I can feel it! I know he's ignoring me... but why?" Sheen cried.

Clark suddenly remembers how Gerwyn acted the moment after he learned that Sheen's his fiancee, "Just forget it, go back to your office. Don't be so down."

Sheen stands up, slouching from feeling sad and went out.

Clark took his phone and dials Mr. Rogers' number, "h.e.l.lo. Can you arrange a meeting with me and Gerwyn Lee later? We have something to talk about."
