"You three take care of the army. The generals will take care of the king and his guards." Ben instructed.
The three beasts understand and jumped down from the wall. Takon and Ava used their fire and started creating havoc among the zombies. Duke created a path, clawing and biting his way through the zombies like they were made of tofu.
Ben looked at his three remaining generals, "You up for it?" he asked mockingly.
Colton snorted and jumped down from the wall, his gauntlets catching on fire as he fell. Shenelle took a gentler approach and used her plants to gently drop her to the ground. James seemed uninterested but he jumped off the wall, using his mastery of the wind to lower him down.
The path that Duke, Ava and Takon opened was starting to close so they wasted no time and dashed towards the king. James was the first to clash with the king, his sword was about to meet the zombie king's head but was blocked by a huge zombie guard who sent James tumbling to the ground. A few zombie mages started shooting out spells.
"Don't let them hit you!" James yelled, quickly getting up and avoiding the spells.
Shenelle made a wall of vines around herself, spells. .h.i.tting them and causing the plants to wilt and die. Colton used his flames to protect himself.
"We need to take care of those mages first!" Colton shouted, jumping to avoid another spell.
"I'll handle it! Cover me!" Shenelle said, closing her eyes. James and Colton, surrounded her, blocking any spells or zombies that came near her.
After a few seconds, Shenelle opened her eyes. Her eyes were bright green, the gra.s.s and surrounding trees started to wilt and die. Green coloured energy started to gather in her hands.
"Nature's Fury." she said quietly. Two beams of energy shot out at incredible speed and slammed into the zombie mages, disintegrating them. The beam only lasted a few seconds but destroyed the mages.
Shenelle slumped over, clearly exhausted but Colton caught and supported her. "Easy does it now." he said.
Fyr started to glow green as she floated around Shenelle, healing her. Quickly Shenelle was able to stand on her own but her face was still pale.
"Thanks Fyr." Shenelle said weakly, patting Fyr's head. Fyr had a jubilant expression on her face as she basked in Shenelle's compliments.
"Colton stay and protect her, I will try to kill the king quickly." James said, wind picked up around him.
"You can't beat him alone." Colton said, still supporting Shenelle.
"Don't worry about me. He should send help soon." James said looking back at the wall.
…
Ben eyes narrowed as he watched his generals fight with the zombies.
'Shenelle's special is powerful but leaves her weak after. She can't use that on the battlefield. Duke go attack the beast and let Colton and James kill the king. Ava go bring back Shenelle please.'
They both responded immediately and took off towards the king.
Deke suddenly materialized beside him.
"We found 50 captives. Mostly female, 10 of them were beyond saving." he reported.
"Has Lilith finished healing them?" Ben said quietly.
"Yes. She put them to sleep for now."
"Bring her and Lance here. They need help." Ben said, not taking his eyes off the king.
Deke disappeared. Soon he heard Lance and Lilith approaching. Ava landed on the well with a pale Shenelle on her back.
"What happened?" Lilith exclaimed, approaching Shenelle, making sure she was alright.
"What's the situation?" Lance said, coming beside Ben.
"They need a hand."
Lance nodded, and jumped over the wall, not needing anymore explanation. Lilith used her Inherited Skill and created a pair of milky white wings on her back and took off towards the battlefield.
Ben smiled as he watched them go, 'Now it will be a good fight.'
…
"Wind's Direction!"
Wind slammed into the zombie king but he didn't move. The king suddenly frowned and saw ice building up on his body, slowing his movements. Colton suddenly attacked punching the king in the chest which caused him to take a couple steps back.
"f.u.c.k is this b.a.s.t.a.r.d tough!" Colton grimaced, holding his hand in pain.
James sent another blast of wind, lightning bolts struck the king. The king glared at James. He appeared before James and slammed his fist into his gut. James' eyes bulged and he spit out some blood.
Colton gave a war cry as he attacked the king again with his flaming fists. The king retreated and looked at the two of them mockingly.
"Bring out the dragon. You two ants aren't worth my time." the king's voice was raspy but strong.
James' was on one knee as he tried to steady himself. Colton glared at the king, "We will kill you."
The king shrugged and took out a sword that looked like it was made of bone. "If I kill you, I am sure that will bring him down." he ran his grey finger along the blade. "He should be able to give me a battle, unlike you two ants."
Cotlon clenched his fists, angry at his weakness. 'How the h.e.l.l did Ben defeat them all on his own!'
"Stand up, the City Lord is watching and I don't want to embarra.s.s myself." Lance said, walking up to Colton and James. Lilith landed from the sky, her wings disappeared.
The four generals stood up and faced the king, loud roars filled the air from Duke battling the Dragon Turtle. Though Duke wasn't taking any damage, he wasn't able to injury the turtle himself.
"Kill the king and then help Duke out." Lance said, brandis.h.i.+ng his great sword and s.h.i.+eld.
James took out his sword and wiped the blood from his mouth. A b.l.o.o.d.y grin appeared on his face. "We have embarra.s.sed ourselves. Let's change that."
Colton grunted a reply, his fire covering his arms.
The king looked at them and shook his head, "Two ants or four ants, it doesn't change anything."
