Xueyan sat facing the mirror, as she discussed with Mei Han the next scene. "So in the next scene you have a face off with that arrogant low born,"

"It's the woman, and don't forget it's a drama." Xueyan was surprised at how Mei Han took everything happening personal.

"I know." Mei Han turned to look at the woman. "She looks down on you, she really doesn't like you... I wonder what's wrong with all the women in the industry. Must they try to ruin the new comers image? Take Ru Fangxi for an example, she was bent on getting you in trouble or disgrace you... What does she think of herself? I only watched from a safe distance because you said you could deal with them. Next time, I won't let her get closer to you." Mei Han rattled on.

"You're saying that for the second time, I wonder how you're so sure you can protect me and I can't protect myself. I'm not one of those rich young miss..."

"Ah! Really? Can you fight?" Mei Han asked excitedly. It would be fun to see her employer fight for herself, than those actresses that causes trouble and leave it for their manager and secretary to solve.

Xueyan smiled, brightly. "You wouldn't want me testing it out on you," Xueyan then slowly folded her fists. Mei Han's eyes popped as she quickly shook her head. 

"Hehehe. No. Not me, please."

And they both laughed.

Producer Fang came over, his two hands behind him. "I wonder what this gist is about for you two to be laughing loudly." He tilted his head at the two. "Last time, someone wanted to know what you two were talking about too."

"..." Mei Han opened her mouth to say something but Xueyan beat her to it. 

"Girls love gossiping,"

Producer Fang was taken aback but still smiled. "Hehe, that's true. Anyways are you ready?" He directed the question at Xueyan. Her head bobbed in response.

The two then walked toward the other end, the next scene would be Ruqin returning from her training alongside the other men. So she had an encounter with the head maid that had forced her to change into the rag clothing.

The camera was set, ready for shoot. Director Ye strode to Xueyan, handing her a single sheet. "Here's your line," And then pa.s.sed one to the woman. "Here's yours," he also gave to the two young men. One was the young man on the horse and the other his friend.

As soon as everyone was positioned, ready to click the camera when one of the employee came running. He was panting and out of breath by the time he got to the director's area. 

"Dir... Direct... Director Ye, the chairman is here!" He stammered all through his short sentence.

Director Ye nodded. "Not bad,"

"I'll go welcome him," Producer Fang said.

"No, no." The young man shook his head. "The Chairman came with a company."

Director Ye's brows furrowed. "Go straight to the point. We don't have all day."

"I think the president is here..." 

The employees shoulders tensed as everyone straightened with their equipment. 

Director Ye stood frozen for five seconds.

"Did you say, the president?" Producer Fang asked.

Mei Han stood beside Xueyan, her hands folded. "Who's this president? I have heard a lot of gossips about him. How harsh he is and very cold..."

Xueyan fiddled with her custume, "I don't know either."

"Let's go, old friend." Producer Fang slapped the director on the shoulder. "Let's go," he tried to grin, but it wasn't working.

Director Ye turned to look at Xueyan. "Leave the sun, and go rest. And please, be you. Try not talking too much." After saying that, he strode away with the producer. 

Mei Han and Xueyan shared a look.

As the director and producer was walking to the car park area, they heard series of laughter. 

"Hold it, let me check." Producer Fang said, and hid behind one of the buildings that was constructed some months ago and peered at the large group coming forward. If he could count them, he was sure they were up to forty. The President, the Chairman, their guards and then... The three young ladies from the day before and their guards too... He facepalmed himself. This wasn't going to be a good day. He scanned the area to see Xiujun, but the young man was no where in sight. A bad day truly. He confirmed.

"The day is so bright, but I can feel big clouds hovering above us." He said to Director Ye when he got closer.

"It's okay," Director Ye tried to a.s.sure his friend. "We've been through this, we really shouldn't be scared by that man. Now let's go." The two came out of their hiding place, with a big smile on their faces, they took large steps towards the incoming troop.

"It's the President," Producer Fang started.

"Oh my, President Yuchi we weren't expecting you." Director Ye tattled. 

President Yuchi smiled. "Sure you weren't, I just decided that a little surprise wouldn't be bad." And he started laughing loudly, that the chairman joined. Ru Fangxi and her two friends joined too. Now Director Ye and Producer Fang was left with a strained face. What did this old man mean?

"Hehehe," Director Ye gave a dry laugh. "I haven't been surprised in a long time,"

"Oh really?" President Yuchi probed. "That's good then," another burst of laughter followed up.

"Let's go, it's quite hot here." Producer Fang urged the president.

"Yes, yes." 

Director Ye turned to look at the chairman and he mouthed out an apology. "I'm sorry,"

The president coming to the company unannounced and demanding to see the shooting area, he wasn't able to send a signal to the director.

Du Xiujun had called earlier, saying he was out of town and he (chairman) should make sure breakfast and lunch is sent to the shooting area no matter what. Now he understood. The President must have sent him on the errand and decided to use the opportunity to come play and delay the shoot.

They moved to the shooting area. But it took them thirty minutes to arrive, as President Yuchi would stop at every building to inspect G.o.d knows what. He would ask a series of question and the director would answer.

When they got their, all the employees gathered together and gave a deep bow. "Welcome President,"

A satisfied smile hung on the President's mouth. "Get back to work, all of you."

"Thank you, President." They chorused. 

Two extra chairs was immediately pulled for the president and chairman. "Where's she?" President Yuchi asked with a raised eyebrow. "I heard the female lead was changed. Where's she?"

The chairman wanted to roll his eyes. 'He heard? As if he wasn't the one that called to say, let Xiujun do as he pleases.'

"Yes, yes. And a good one I must say." Producer Fang tried to put in a good word for Xueyan.

That didn't sit well with Fangxi. "She's a newbie, who isn't good at anything yet. If you are having troubles with her, you can say that out aloud..." She paused but they understood what she meant. 

Producer Fang gave a dry laugh. "Miss Ru is quite right," director Ye head snapped at him. "She's a newbie, but good at everything. It's more like she studied acting, as if she has been acting since she was a child..." He paused and flashed her a grin. "She's that good."

"I would really like to see. Seeing is believing," President Yuchi said with a smile. He wanted to know why Du Xiujun fancied that girl. A girl that wasn't able to complete her high school. Or perhaps, she did. He hasn't been able to get information on her. It was like everything about her was wiped out, her elementary school and even secondary school... There was nothing about her he could put his hands on.

Just what did she have? A great acting skill? Fangxi had that. And Xiujun had been cool with her all his life... The sudden change, had him thinking deeply. 

Producer Fang went to bring Xueyan. She was having her make-up retouched. While Mei Han was there blabbering as always. What is she always talking about?

"Miss Bai, here you're." He smiled.

Xueyan spun around in her chair to face him. "Producer Fang,"

"Let's go, the president wants to see you acting." He strode away.

Xueyan immediately gathered her custume and followed him.

The director's area, President Yuchi was whispering into one of his guards ear. Xueyan bowed upon getting closer, she then looked up and saw the arrogant Ru Fangxi sitting right behind him, on a much higher stool.

"h.e.l.lo, Mr President."

The man turned and sized her down. He chuckled internally. A beauty. He has to agree. "And you're?"

Ru Fangxi chuckled and it made all eyes turn to her. She straightened. "She's the new actress, president."

"Oh," President Yuchi acted surprised. "What is your name?"

"Bai Xueyan, sir." 

He nodded. "The new female, Xiujun chose? I hope you qualify for that."

Before Xueyan could speak, "Yes, sir. She qualifies for the t.i.tle." Director Ye said. Leaving Xueyan to answer that question wouldn't be good. It was a tricky one. This was her first time acting, her first drama, it would be bad for her to compliment herself.

The Chairman chuckled. "Since it's coming from you, director Ye, I can't agree any less."

"A proof," President Yuchi crossed his leg on the other. "Seeing is believing!"
