"One million!" Qingran screamed and everyone turned to her. How did she know that much money? They all wondered. "My teacher said, any number with six zeros or any six numbers following behind it is a million or million plus... Aunty you will be paid a million?" The little girl's eyes bulged with surprised. She pouted, "That is really big! Shenshen has that much money?"

Mr Bai didn't look relaxed. "How can he pay that much money to an ordinary a.s.sistant? No no, that's too much!" He declared.

s.h.i.+huan relaxed back on his chair and darted a look at Xueyan.

"That's... That's a lot, really." Mrs Bai said.

Yuxi thought about what the woman had said. "You're my Shenshen's girlfriend." What will be her family reaction if they heard of it?

"There's more to it." She couldn't hide it from them. "Mrs Xing III said... I'm... I'm... I'm his..." She started coughing out of the blue and Xueyan immediately pa.s.sed her a gla.s.s and patted her back. "His hired girlfriend..." Yuxi said after calming down.

Mr Bai's expression changed instantly. "What do you mean?"

"Hi... Hired girlfriend?" Mrs Bai stammered.

The Xings are one greedy people. They want everything to themselves. Xueyan thought and more hate grew in her heart. 

"You can't just become a tool for them! There's no way I'm allowing that!" Mr Bai said angrily. "Before you become anyone's girlfriend, it has to be someone you like! No wonder they are willing to pay such amount! I will never allow my children become a tool for the rich!" The man declared. As if in agreement with what he said a sudden downpour began. "Look, the heaven supports me!" He vowed to protect his children! To give them good life as a father but he had failed. But that didn't mean anyone can just hire his daughter to become a tool. No way would he allow that!

"If we allow this society... They will run us over and turn a blind eye. We can't allow them to always have their ways! We can't!" The man disagreed. Thinking about what Xueyan went through... He didn't want Yuxi to go through it! The heavens would condemn him for being the worst father to his children. He couldn't possibly sit still and watch his daughter being used as a p.a.w.n by the rich. 

The table was dead silent until Qingran tried to eat her meat and the spoon fell. It made a loud noise as it was silent.

They all turned to her and she pouted. "The meat refuses to be eaten."

"Hahaha," s.h.i.+huan chuckled. "Make sure to deal with it once it's in."

"Sure uncle!"

"Grandma, I really love this. And this. Also this. Hmm yum. They all taste extra delicious, is it because I'm so hungry?"

"Hahaha, eat and stop talking so much!" The woman patted the little boy's head.

"Yeah yeah. It's really delicious. Eat more… Besides, where's Qiangshen?" The woman asked.

"He left some minutes ago, didn't you see him?" Zhihao asked.

"Eat eat and don't talk." Xiaocan said.

"He didn't eat with us?" Mrs Xing I asked.

"No, he left with a pack." Xiaocan answered.

"Oh good good. Why is Rongbo not back yet?" Mrs Xing I asked.

"He might have other things to do… He will be back soon." Xiaocan answered with a smile.

"Oh granny I'm full." Zhihao said and pushed the woman's hand a bit so she won't feed him more.

"No. You only had a bite of everything. You should eat more!" Mrs Xing suggested.

"No no. I'm good."

"Oh really?"

"Yes!" Zhihao nodded.

"Rest a bit then go to bed. You should look very refreshed tomorrow." Mrs Xing stated.

The little boy only nodded and strode to the couch.

The two women watched and Xiaocan smiled. "He looks so much like Zhaolin. Zhaolin was this obedient. Zhihao even walks like him." 

"Don't forget Rongbo," Mrs Xing smirked. "They inherited it all from him."

"Hahaha, yes mother." Xiaocan agreed.

"Where's s.h.i.+ya, did she leave?" Mrs Xing asked not sure.

Outside, by the garden. s.h.i.+ya was on the call.

"Are you sure?"

"No I mean, if that isn't Xueyan then who is it?"

"Ok. Just look into it deeply." She ended the call and threw the phone to the ground. What in the world is going on? How can they look so much alike? And that… That woman looked every bit c.o.c.ky… Xueyan was never like that… I pray she is really not the one because… Her phone started ringing, she bent and picked it up.

"Qingnuan,"

"Yes, are you busy? We wanted to invite you out. During the weekend… Will you be free?"

s.h.i.+ya thought for a while. "Okay, weekend then."

"Okay. Bye. Thank you." Qingnuan immediately hung up.

 The sound of a car engine came in and stopped at the front door, s.h.i.+ya turned to see who it was. Zhaolin… Whatever she was feeling at that moment disappeared. Whatever sadness. She smiled broadenly and took large steps towards him.

"Zhao?" She called out to him.

Zhaolin darted a look at then continued looking forward, he didn't go in because he still had respect for her. 

She got close and almost went for his hand but as if remembering something she withdrew her hand. 

"You are late, why?" She asked. Not waiting for a reply she continued. "Or you were very busy. You really shouldn't work out yourself."

"Hmmm," he responded and walked forward.

She followed behind him.

As soon as Zhaolin pa.s.sed through the door, the little man ran towards him. Zhaolin instantly picked him up. "It's late already, why aren't you sleeping?"

"I was going to do that but heard a car engine come to a stop." Zhihao responded.

"I will f.u.c.k you to bed," Zhaolin said and carried Zhihao up to his bedroom.

s.h.i.+ya didn't dare follow. This was a father and son moment, she would be left out if she followed.

"s.h.i.+ya, go prepare something for your husband. Go, go." Mrs Xing urged. 

"Yeah, granny." s.h.i.+ya answered with a smile.
