The following day,Fei Shuang woke up earlier than usual as she sluggishly sat up in a sitting position while scratching her curly-disheveled hair. She was eager for ZhenZhu's arrival because she informed her yesterday to go to her house after telling her where to find the spare keys and bring her phone,eyepiece, recent handbag containing her wallet and IDs,car key,a loose sweater,pajamas, some clothes....blah,blah,blah and other stuffs that ladies would like. ZhenZhu also promised to bring some xiaochi[1] on the way. She was so excited and imagined how amazing her day would be.

Fei Shuang naturally wanted

to try playing games,watch C-dramas,read on webnovel and surfing the internet but couldn't because she was always busy with work and had no time for herself.

She takes the award for the best employee of the year because she was a workaholic and also a professional in her job but now that she was jobless, she could do whatever she wanted.

She seriously didn't want to go back to the plastic company full of arrogant rich clients. She really gets sick and tired of hearing their boastful conversation about their money,net worth,past successful business and their luxury life. They would always find a way to create a problem out of their products but she still manages to find a solution.What she hated the most was her boss nagging all the time with her fellow lazy female co-workers who would do nothing but gossip all the time about hot guys and unnecessary things.

"All of that is nothing but the past." She huffed to herself.

Miss long has already brought breakfast and left but there was still no sign of ZhenZhu.

''Aish....what's keeping bestie so long? It's already weekend!"She scolded herself because she knew it was a Sat.u.r.day.

Fei Shuang couldn't help but sigh when she realized she was left alone in the room with silence.

She gently hugged herself,rubbing soothing circles on her arms and felt like the entire room was too big for her,bigger than the entire world. Her joyful face suddenly turned pale.

Because she had nothing to do, Fei shuang decided to lie down.

Few minutes later, she could feel her eyelids closing.

She felt asleep.

She didn't know how long she slept but when she woke up,she heard someone speaking.

"Ms ZhenZhu, Miss Lee has been recuperating so fast for the past few days. Everything is stable and I don't think she needs to stay in the hospital anymore. She'll be discharged in the next few days but let me remind you not to let her do stressful activities because of her condition. You must also be extra cautious on her whereabouts and her diet as well!"

Fei Shuang couldn't help but smile. Her sleepiness went away instantly. Finally, she would be out of the hospital.

She wanted to open her eyes but was suddenly interfered with ZhenZhu 's response,

"That's great news! Thank you so much Doctor Xiao for your hard work but you don't have to remind me of letting her do hard works. I know very well about her condition and would be taken good care of. She'll be leaving with me ASAP!"

Doctor Xiao wanted to roar at her but he held back his anger.

He didn't want to want to wake the patient up.

He could only swallow his anger as he tightened his grip. He later smiled and responded back,

"Miss arrogance,I don't want a situation whereby you'll bring her back here to us due to lack of care. Judging from your looks, you don't look like the type who would nurse a patient. And finally,you speak so rude,I'd advise you not to speak so rude to others because someday, you'll meet someone who might slap you in the face!"

"You!! ..."

Before ZhenZhu could finish what she wanted to say,she heard a female voice saying,

"Don't argue any further, I can take care of myself."

It was Fei Shuang.

She woke up and was currently staring at them.

"Girlfriend you're awake?"

"We're sorry to disturb your sleep."

Doctor Xiao unwrinkled his eyebrows.

Fei Shuang did not reply but there's was a smile on her face.

She looked at him sheepishly and shook her head.

"It's okay... Doctor Xiao... Do not take her words to heart. I apologize on my friend's behalf."

Xiao Tian nod his head and only replied with one word, "OK."

After hearing Fei Shuang's word,ZhenZhu stubbornly spoke.

"But girlfriend,you don't have to apologize...'

"Do not pursue this matter anymore ZhenZhu."

Fei Shuang added calmly as she grabbed her hand, trying to control her anger.

ZhenZhu just stared at Fei Shuang who was lying on the hospital bed as Doctor Xiao and Nurse Pan were busy monitoring her body.

Few minutes later, Doctor Xiao closed her chart and they both (he and Pan Er) left.

ZhenZhu sat on the bed and cuddled Fei Shuang.

"I'm sorry for arriving late... it took me a while because when i reached to your apartment,the entire place was in a total mess and i had to clean it up. Did you had a serious fight with Caofeng?"

"No!"

Fei Shuang sounded in a worry tone and ZhenZhu suddenly changed the topic, "Okay.... I brought everything you asked for yesterday and some snacks too."

Fei Shuang smiled. She looked carefully at her and found that her eyes already had dark circles.

Her heart ached for her. She knew ZhenZhu has been having difficulty at work with not enough sleep yet she stays with her and even went to her house and cleaned it up. Such a precious friend so hard to find.

"ZhenZhu... I'm the one to be sorry,you've been so caring to me and you look so tired and exhausted. I'm sorry for bothering you so much.

"No. As your friend, it's my duty to take care of you and look after you all the time. Don't worry.. I'll make sure you won't suffer from those sneaky bast***ds ever again!"

Fei Shuang giggled as ZhenZhu hugged her. She was truly blessed to have such a great friend by her side.

Fei Shuang looked up and stared at ZhenZhu's eyes.

A teardrop roll down her cheek.

"I'm sorry... I know you're still mad at me for hiding Caofeng's betrayal. It was because i was hurt ... i was so angry and i was in pain... so much pain that i decided to walk away.

I was so foolish and got hit by a car... I'm sorry .."

"Shhhh..... you were not being foolish.. Don't blame yourself ... Fei Shuang listen to me.. I'm not mad at you at all.

You hear me? Don't ever think of such again,having you here safe and sound is all that matters."

Fei Shuang nodded.

"Enn.... alright, want to eat some snacks? I a.s.sure you,you will enjoy eating each and every one of it."

ZhenZhu hurriedly looked away and fetches for the nylon bag to control her emotions.

Fei Shuang smiled and nodded again. She was surprised to see different variety of snacks in the nylon bag. They were some stinky tofus,haw flakes,sweet potato chips,crunchy rice rollers, white rabbit candy, tanghulu[2], and w.a.n.g-w.a.n.g snow cookies.

Fei Shuang opened her mouth wide as stared at the delicious snacks in front of her.

"I've got another surprise for you, i made it myself."

ZhenZhu handed her a small food flask with pink colored flowers on it.

Fei Shuang couldn't help but scream out loud after seeing what was inside.

"This is a dream come true!"

She excitedly exclaimed.

It was her favorite snack, Youtiao [3] in the company of hot chili oil.

She quickly hugged ZhenZhu's arm and said,

"Wo ai ni! [4]"

"I love you too shou lei."

The two besties hugged each other.

Later on,they ate as much as they could and were discussing about the incident that happened earlier.

"You two were arguing like two angry birds fighting over a nest,i find it so dramatic hihi."

Fei Shuang teases ZhenZhu as she eats the milk candies.

"Dramatic? Seriously?!"

ZhenZhu frowned.

"Yes it is,you finally found someone who could challenge you with your att.i.tude."

"Seems like you still don't know me shou lei!"

ZhenZhu gave a hmmpf as she looked away.

Fei Shuang realizes that ZhenZhu was already fuming and was more serious. She immediately picked one the milk candies on her hand and pushed it into ZhenZhu's mouth. She then spoke in an apology tone, "I'm just kidding, no one dares to challenge her mighty ZhenZhu!"

After a few seconds of silence,ZhenZhu couldn't get away from Fei Shuang's pitiful eyes and responded, "You're such a sweet talker,you even deceive me with those stupid eyes of yours. Let me grab some soda at the vending machine. My mouth is about to explode because of the hot chili oil."

Fei Shuang nodded as she blew her a flying kiss.

ZhenZhu childishly jumped and grabbed the air as if she was catching a handball then place both of her hands on her chest. They were both acting like teenagers.

ZhenZhu left and Fei Shuang resumed to what she was doing. She was enjoying every bite of her Youtiao as she didn't mind who entered the room.

The pepper on the chili oil has started to trouble her. She begin to cough as she stretches her hand to reach for the bottled water but it was too far.

"Hel.... *cough* *cough* help me get the.. *cough* .. ZhenZhu..."

The person walked towards her and handed her the bottle.

"Thank... *cough* thanks...."

She didn't get to finish her sentence when she realized it wasn't ZhenZhu's hand. Instead, it was a man's hand. She quickly raised her head and said,

"Yisheng [5].."
