All of the demons saw Brandon and began shouting amongst themselves. Before Brandon could respond, the nearest demon suddenly pulled out a spear and ran it straight through Brandon's head!
Brandon's body fell down as all signs of life left his body instantly. Seeing this, Steve's and the others' facial expressions changed dramatically.
"Night Hidden Demons!" Jacob cried out in surprise.
"They're the scouting team of the demon's army. Run!" Steve recognized them at once.
He knew this because the recruit courses that he had been enrolled in had included courses that taught them how to distinguish between the demon race and the army. The Night Hidden Demons were naturally well-suited for scouting. Also, from their equipment, Steve could see at a glance that the Night Hidden Demons were the scouting team of the demon army.
Steve took a cursory look at them, quickly counting that the team had at least 20 people. Although he was confident that he could kill them, it would take a lot of time to kill the entire team.
