DEAR MR STRANGER 3 Chapter 3

She dropped the pen aside after writing and took another bite of the bread loaf. But wait what.....!

She looked back upon the page and ...

"Yes my dear"

Saavi dropped the bite in fear. Who wrote this  ?

She looked around her room suspecting that there would be someone hiding.

But the deadly silence proved her wrong.

She used to believe in magic but didn't counter it__ever.

She moved some steps away from diary. But then courageously held her pen and .....

"Who are you?"

She stood gazing at the page and within some seconds....

SSRR SSRRR !

An answer was being written on the page without any pen or quill !

"Your diary !"

Saavi forgot to eat in amazement. And focused on the dairy questioning it.

"How it's being written?"

She wrote beneath IT'S answer.

And again an answer was written.

"I'm a magical diary and I can answer you questions and can make your wishes come true !"

Saavi skipped a beat after reading this.

"How can you make my wishes come true ?"

She again questioned.

"Just make a wish and see"

Perhaps the diary was really going to be a turning point into her life.

"What should I ask for?"

She wasn't able to choose one in the bundle of her list.

"Anything which clicks in your mind just write it."

The dairy gave her suggestion.

She thought for some minutes and wrote.

"I want a friend in my cla.s.s."

Her heart was beating fast and mind was wondering that how could it be done?

"Wish Granted."

Saavi couldn't understood so asked again.

"How much time?"

The diary replied.

"Tomorrow you'll have a friend."

Saavi was stunned but didn't believe. She thought that it was some kind of trick that a diary can reply & write on it's own !

She closed the diary, put it aside on her side table. And  tried to sleep.

But couldn't somehow she was thinking about her wish.

It was about to dawn when the alarm clock strike 05:00.

She rubbed her eyes, with the blurry vision saw something s.h.i.+ny sitting on her nose. Terrified she sat and with eyes wide open, focused on nose tip.

A golden b.u.t.terfly__as if was dipped into gold was sitting on her nose tip.

She waved her hand to make her fly.

It flew a few fingers away from her tip and Saavi looked around.

A lot of golden b.u.t.terflies were roaming with a golden dust all around them.

SPROO !

A lot of stardust sprouted from the diary.

Golden in color and within a few seconds it disappeared. And again it sprouted __disappeared.

It seemed like the book was snoring and the dust was producing by it's snore !

Saavi enjoyed playing with the startdust. She catched some in her fist when opened it was empty. She put her hair tail above the book and some of the s.h.i.+ny dust particles got stranded into her hair. She reached the mirror to look how beautiful her hair was with such elegantly decorated golden dust. She had  looked only for some seconds when it disappeared. Saavi spend  the whole next 2 hours catching those golden b.u.t.terflies and playing with the dust.

When the sunlight showed up through the blinder.

The dust vanished from everywhere. The diary became a normal bundle of pages.

Martha knocked at the door, as usual asked for breakfast.

Saavi replied her short as she used to but this time her voice was not gloomy but full of life !

She got dressed for school humming & dancing along the room. It was after a long time she was happy.

Suddenly her wish flashed in mind, maybe....!

She hurriedly pa.s.sed the spiral staircase and dashed towards the dining hall.

Where Martha was already waiting for her dressed in black with a white ap.r.o.n & eyes focused on ground.

"Good morning Martha !"

Saavi greeted her for the first time in these 2 years since she had joined.

Martha surprisingly looked at her but then lowered her head, replied hesitating.

"Gg....Good morning ma'am"

Saavi had her breakfast this time Italian. With excitement she finished fast and rode to the school.

Pa.s.sing through the same street she use to.....

That woman from previous day was sitting on the doorsteps of shop. Saavi gazed at her and the woman smiled.

Didn't knew how to response she simply nodded in yes.

Maybe the woman wasn't busy with customers today so she'd time to stare everyone on the street.

Reached, parked her cycle and slowly walked towards the cla.s.s. She was smiling while pa.s.sing the corridor but became expressionless when reached at the doorstep of cla.s.s.

Entered and moved to her seat at the right corner of the room.

Everyone was whispering , talking and laughing.

She gazed at some and....maybe she's invisible to every person that's why she always went unnoticed.

She sighed heavily exhaling a puff of warm air.

When the professor entered and everyone stood up. Greeted and opened the books.

The teacher announced a surprise test. Everyone protested but all in vain.

The professor wrote questions on the board and leaned against the chair watching over all the students.

Half an hour pa.s.sed everyone was writing, the sound of pens running on the papers could be heard clearly in that deadly silence. When Saavi's pen finished !

She opened it & .....

It was empty, she needed ink or a spare pen.

But everyone was busy with their test. She looked around and stared at the girl sitting on her right.

Gabrielle sensed her staring, looked at her blank.

She understood the whole thing when saw Saavi's pen opened from the ink-filling portion.

She nodded her head as was saying "wait".

Slipped her hand into pocket and tossed a pen towards Saavi.

Who was surprised but kept it and started writing again.

When the test was over and all the pages were submitted to professor. Saavi came near Gabrielle, stretched her arm and gave her pen back.

"Thank you."

She said in low voice but audible enough for Gabrielle to listen.

"My pleasure"

Gabrielle replied with a smile and before Saavi could leave.....

"Hi I'm Gabrielle "

Saavi gave a smile and they both had a handshake.

Somehow the introvert found a friend. Though it was just a starting.

Saavi turned to pick her bag and headed towards the cla.s.s door. But stopped at Gabrielle's voice.

"Wait for me saavi"

They both strided through the corridor discussing the test they'd just attempted.

Saavi was happy that finally there was someone in the school who talked to her. While Gabrielle was gay too that the image whole school had of Saavi was wrong. She was a decent and polite girl.

When Saavi reached her cycle and waved goodbye to Gabrielle her wished flashed again.

"My wish....the diary is really magical !"

She whispered to herself in shock.
