Giving her status as a princess, the servant immediately led her to Ji Yunshu's place.
They asked her to wait inside a beautiful pavilion with lotus pond beneath. The crisp evening wind blew along with the sound of birds sang from the branches nearby.
The best tea was served along with various kinds of cookies, as expected from the wealthiest merchant family in this country.
Overall it was an enjoyable place to wait as Qianru could relish the beauty of the scenery and relax her mind.
However, it turned out to not very joyous when after twenty minutes Ji Yunshu still not made an appearance.
"Where is young Miss Ji?" Qianru sipped the second cup of her tea calmly. She should have known that Ji Yunshu would give her a hard time every time she was given a chance.
But, she had chose a wrong moment this time.Find authorized novels in Webnovel, faster updates, better experience,Please click www.webnovel.com for visiting.
"Young Miss will come a little bit late." The servant answered with the same sentences since the first time Qianru asked her.
"You had said that for the fourth time now." Qianru remarked, her expression remained unchanged when she stood up and walked toward the servant. "Give this to your Young Miss." She handed a small beautiful red box to the servant's hand. "This my present for her union with royal family."
After saying that, she waved to Jinse to follow her.
"Ah, Princess Xiao, where are you going?" The servant hastily stopped Qianru from leaving and handed back the small box to her hands. "You are not yet meet with Young Miss Ji."
"Actually I come to give the present and congratulate her in person, but since she didn't appreciate my visit. I will leave."
In all honesty, Qianru didn't want to meet with her too, if it wasn't the custom that required her to come to show her blessing with their union as the representative of Azura, she wouldn't have be there in the first place.
However, the female servant couldn't let Qianru go, or else she has to bear the consequences. Ji Yunshu had told her to make Princess Xiao to wait for an hour or so but it's only twenty minutes had past and Qianru had determined to go.
Boldly the servant blocked her path, she thought in that way she could hold Qianru back.
"Move aside." Qianru said coldly. "Don't you know that touching a royal family for a servant like you without consent could cost your head?"
The servant lowered her head as she didn't know what she had to do.
"Princess Xiao why in rush?"
Suddenly a sweet voice sounded from beside Qianru as Ji Yunshu appeared in front of her with all jewelry that she had.
Qianru inhaled deeply, clearly irritated, before she readied herself to face Ji Yunshu with smile on her lips. "Because I don't have much free time like yours."
Qianru's word inflicted Ji Yunshu's ire. Her original plan was to aggravate Qianru by letting her wait for hours, but seemingly a word from Qianru was enough to annoy her.
In the other hand, Qianru didn't even bother to wait longer. Her status allowed her to do that.
Ji Yunshu might will marry a Prince, but until the wedding occurred, her status was still lower than Qianru.
"I am sorry for make you wait." Ji Yunshu forced a smile that wasn't very convincing. "Why don't we chat over a tea?"
"Like I said, I don't have much leisure time like you do." Qianru really knew how to make the short temper woman in front of her lost her fake smile.
"I am busy preparing my wedding." Ji Yunshu's eyes burning with hatred. "Furthermore, you shouldn't have much schedule either since Prince Xiao Jun is busy in the court of physician as the representative of Azura."
"My schedules are not always around my husband. I have other matter to attend too." Qianru countered.
"That's not what woman does." Ji Yunshu sneered, in her mind a married women should devote her life to take care of her husband, nothing more important than served and pleased them.
"That's not what woman like you does." Qianru corrected her words.
Qianru agreed with the concept that woman should devote their life to their husband, but in her mind the process was different, she interpreted it more broadly.
"Don't act all high." Ji Yunshu finally lost it after she felt the mocking tone in Qianru's voice. "You are not an Empress!"
"And you are not even a princess!" Qianru bit back. "I am not someone who holds a grudge, but there will always be a retribution for every foul act."
