The Story Of Dusk 19 Su Zhang Li Whereabouts

Senja was a bit dizzy, because for the whole afternoon no one even remembered to come and gave her food or water. She was also not allowed to leave her room.

Every times she stepped out, a Shadow Guard would stop her and said that was w.a.n.g Yu order to keep her inside.

Senja didn't argue with his statement, there was nothing good to be stubborn. So, she just asked for food and water, but after three times she had asked the same thing and they didn't deliver it yet. She stopped asking.

And now, here she was. Tired, terrified and starve.

w.a.n.g Yu leisurely approached his daughter, pulled a chair in front of Senja and sat there. In the other hand, Senja even didn't lift her head to see who had walked inside her room. She seemed has turned numb with her surroundings.

"You know what I want to ask you. So don't waste my time." w.a.n.g Yu said coldly.

Senja was an unexpected child in his life. he married Rin, Senja's mother, for the power behind her. Although he had an affair with Rin's sister, Carye, who became his wife now, but having Senja was out of his calculation.

Moreover, he despised a daughter. Carye already had 2 daughters from her previous husband. He didn't need one more.

"Answer me!" w.a.n.g Yu roared because Senja kept quite. The little girl jerked slightly when she heard him.

"I don't know." Senja mumbled and w.a.n.g Yu regarded her harsh slap.

The sound from w.a.n.g Yu's hand on Senja's cheek terrifyingly echoed inside the room. Senja fell to the floor, not only her cheek that burst into pain, but also the wound on her chest screaming in anguish too.

"We will continue this until you give me something important for me." w.a.n.g Yu crossed his leg while he sat back. He didn't care a bit about her. "No one will come to help you. Not even your grandfather. You are nothing, but a failure."

All this years, w.a.n.g Yu was rarely at home and once he did, he never paid attention to Senja. Despite his ignorance, that was better than he was now. At least, while ignoring her, he wouldn't lay a hand on Senja either.

However, since w.a.n.g Yu had openly tried to kill her in Mountain Sui Sword Sect, there was nothing to be concealed anymore about how he felt on Senja.

It was terrifyingly hurtful for the little girl to know all of that. She had endured Carye and her two daughter's cruelty on her, hoping that her father or her grandfather could make it better. But, no. Both of them only made things worse for her.

Senja bit her lips to stop her tears. Her voice was trembling when she spoke. "He brought me to a shelter for children that their parents had died in war." Senja shook her head when she continued. "But, I don't know where it is." She really didn't have idea where the place was.

"And?" w.a.n.g Yu probed in eerie tone.

"Uncle Ye Xiu has a brother named Ye Bai."

"Ye Bai?" w.a.n.g Yu repeated. Trying to recall the memory from that name, but he couldn't remember there was someone from Xinghe with high status in military named Ye Bai. "What he did?"

Senja didn't answer as Su Zhang Li's face emerged from her memory. She didn't want to bring harm to her family. She likes aunt Su so much.

When she didn't say anything, w.a.n.g Yu pulled her hair and dragged her along the way across the room before he stopped. "I will kill you if you don't want to talk."

Senja felt her scalp was in so much pain like someone had skinned her head. She was wailing on the floor while grabbing her head when she answered. "He was a spy." Senja softly said between her gritted teeth.

Ye Xiu or Ye Bai didn't know that Senja knew about this. Ye Qing, Ye Bai's son, was the one who told her about this when they were playing. Apparently, the little boy often eavesdrop his father and Uncle Ye Xiu's conversation.

"Spy?" w.a.n.g Yu's eyes glimmered in vicious excitement. "What else?"

Senja shook her head. "I only know that."

"Does he have a family?"

Upon hearing this question Senja's eyes dilated in fear. She shook her head again vigorously.

Felt something amiss with Senja's reaction. w.a.n.g Yu gripped her neck and choked her. He has been in military for almost of his entire life, involved in interrogation and had tortured the unfortunate Spy or enemies' accomplices to spill the information.

So simply said, a merely 9 years old little girl wouldn't be able to deceive him.

w.a.n.g Yu didn't say anything, but his menacing glare was enough to deliver the message that he was ready to kill Senja if she kept refusing to speak.

"He has wife and a son." Senja closed her eyes as tears falling down from the corner of her eyes.

"Continue."

"Aunt Su is a doctor in the orphanage shelter." Senja's mouth gapped open to fill her need for air.

"Aunt Su? Is she his wife? What her name?"

"Su… Zhang… Li…" Senja p.r.o.nounced it between her stupor state, she almost lost into the dark that enveloped her when w.a.n.g Yu released her neck.

Senja fell on the ground like a rag doll and greedily craved for air.

w.a.n.g Yu felt satisfied with what he had got from Senja. He knew Su Zhang Li, she was Rin old friend.

He saw Rin a couple of time exchanging letter with her. He just didn't pay attention into it. But now, he knew what he had to do. He need to look over all of that letter to find some clue about this Su Zhang Li, then he could use it to track down Ye Xiu and Ye Bai.

With that thought in his cruel mind, w.a.n.g Yu walked out from the room. He didn't even bother to pay attention when Senja spoke in difficulty to not harm Su Zhang Li.

It was a futile pleading after all.

Days pa.s.sed and it had been 9 months since Senja returned home. She never heard anything about uncle Ye Xiu. But, she clearly knew that her grandfather and her father had been leading an enormous amount of armies to destroy Xinghe Kingdom.

Senja paid more attention to this news, sometimes when she walked past the training ground of The Shadow Guard, she would overhear a piece of news about the situation in the battlefield between Azura Kingdom and Xinghe Kingdom.
