Both father and son were staring at each other as Xiao w.a.n.g Wei was very dissatisfied by his father decision to put him aside, moreover it was right in front of Xiao Jun, it almost felt like he had just beaten up by him.

"I will not repeat my word!" Xiao Zi was furious because Xiao w.a.n.g Wei still there, he openely refused to listen.

However, a while later, Xiao w.a.n.g Wei lowered his gaze and turned around without a word toward his father as his hand balled into a tight fist that his fingers stabbed his palm while he trying to suppress his anger.

Once Xiao w.a.n.g Wei left, there was only the two of them alone inside the pavilion while the Emperor's personal guards surrounded them, ready to act quickly if something was going to happen toward Xiao Zi, but they were standing far enough so they couldn't catch a word of their conversation

"You don't need to draw unnecessary attention like this." Xiao Zi talked as he sat back on his chair.

On the table was a map of Azura's land, more spesifically was the land in the northern area, where the battle with Rockstone Kingdom and Zodasian Kingdom would occur.

"I warn you Xiao Zi." Xiao Jun said in low dangerous tone, he dropped down all the courtesy and façade of decency.

Xiao Zi's expression turned sour when he heard Xiao Jun called him casually, his grip on the cup tightened.

"One more time you sent a woman to my mansion, I will send you back her head followed by her body." Xiao Jun warned him.

"Do you really think you can do that?" Xiao Zi scoffed. "I know what you were doing in the Rockstone Kingdom Jun…" He drawled. "… and also this war."

Xiao Jun didn't look surprised when Xiao Zi said that he had known about this, he had expected it not less than this.

"So, you knew it after all…" Xiao Jun let a dry cold laugh. "Good."

Xiao Zi raised his eyebrows questioningly, slightly confused with Xiao Jun's reaction.

"Then you know exactly what I am capable of doing." Xiao Jun smiled triumphantly at Xiao Zi, he was satisfied because he realized it.

This information could be used for Xiao Zi to threaten Xiao Jun and suppressed his influence or Xiao Jun could use this to threaten Xiao Zi instead.

It was all depending on how they played with the cards on their hands.

"If I could make two countries go all the way to fight Azura, do you think I can't destroy this country and turn my back to help them to get what they want?" Xiao Jun asked casually, sitting down on the chair opposite of Xiao Zi.

"You will not dare enough to destroy Azura." Xiao Zi curled his lips into vicious smile. "Do you really think that I will believe that?"

"You should start to believe that." Xiao Jun said calmly. "Because I will go all the way down to destroy you. You should start to be careful with the next step that you will take. Because once I feel offended again, the outcome of this war will not meet your expectations."

Xiao Zi's jaws clenched and his expression turned stiff. He didn't know if Xiao Jun was only bluffing or he really meant his words.

This person in front of him had changed drastically, from an idealis young man who believed war would never be an answer to solve problems between countries, to the person who initiated the war itself.

However, Xiao Zi couldn't act recklessly before the war started and he received the result. Xiao Jun was indeed the person who had initiated this war.

With he was being sent to the Rockstone Kingdom, Xiao Zi wouldn't doubt that Xiao Jun held much more information that he had showed. It was a crucial time for him.

At least, until the war ended, he had to hold back and stopped his attempted to agitate this young man. But, after the war…

Xiao Zi would make sure Xiao Jun regret this very moment, the time when he acted arrogantly to threaten him.

"You are threatening me about the outcome of the war, but here you are, away from the fortress and your soldiers." Xiao Zi stated the fact that Xiao Jun wasn't in the northern fortress to prepare the upcoming war.

"You don't need to worry about that." Xiao Jun had said what he needed to say, thus he didn't have anything to do with Xiao Zi anymore, he didn't want to spend an extra second being near this kind of person.

"I don't know that my kind gesture turned out to be like this. I just wanted to help you to continue your bloodline, if the matter about Qianru couldn't give you an heir, I wonder how many people in the council will turn their back against you…" Xiao Zi found another way to turn the table.

"Lets see, whose words they would believe." Xiao Jun's eyes slightly dimmed. Xiao Zi had stated the point that, even him, couldn't solve it.

Xiao Zi let out an eerie chuckled. "Do you intend to lie toward them?"

"It's too early to decide what I will do." Xiao Jun replied calmly, the disturbance in his heart didn't surface to his expression, made Xiao Zi had a hard time to read him. "However, if there is a rumor about it spread among the council, I could do the same thing."

"What will you do?" Xiao Zi didn't really pay attention to Xiao Jun's words this time as he brew a tea for himself.

"Lost the agreement between Azura and Black Sword Clan wouldn't sound good right?" Xiao Jun curled is lips into smile when he saw the sligh wrinkle on Xiao Zi's eyebrows.

Xiao Zi didn't answer him, but his silence proved that he had no idea about the attack in Xiao Tianyao's mansion.

"Apparently, you know nothing about the attack in Tianyao's mansion by Misty Cloud Clan?" Xiao Jun tasted the water, he tried to gauge Xiao Zi's reaction, finding out how much he was involved himself into this.

"Misty Cloud Clan attacked Tianyao? What their clan is doing in Azura?" Xiao Zi's voice slightly rose up.

"I think you know nothing about this, then I will a.s.sume it was Modama doing…" Xiao Jun concluded. "Doesn't he know that using another force aside from Black Sword Clan is forbidden? You could lose your throne and black sword clan will turn their back against you. That's the agreement sounded right?"

The agreement between Azura kingdom and Black Sword Clan was happened decades ago, when Xiao Zi's grandfather ruled as the sovereign. But, the covenant was still valid up to this day.

It mentioned that the only forces that Xiao's imperial family could use was from Black Sword Clan, which would be managed by pa.s.sing the inheritance, with that Black Sword Clan was exclusively serving the Imperial family and provided many soldiers from around the Country that would serve Azura.

In returned Black Sword Clan would protect the Emepror with their life.

However, the covenant also mentioned that Imperial family couldn't ask another Clan to help them with their matter or else it would count as breaching the contract between them.

If that happened then the Emperor would be the only person who would be suffered the most.

Xiao Jun stood up and without greeting or farewell he came and left the Emperor's courtyard carelessly.
