"Who had done this…?" Xiao Tianyao's question felt like from the place further away.

Yang Yu couldn't give Xiao Tianyao a concrete answered, as he was also didn't know what was going on inside this chamber.

Thus, he replied with the fact that he had seen and what was actually had happened, also Xiao Tianyao's strange order.

However, apparently the only information that could reach his mind was the fact about Gong Xu.

"Gong Xu was here?!" Xiao Tianyao asked as his voice became hardened.

"Yes Master." Yang Yu nodded his head hastily. "But he managed to escape."

"Have you asked someone to chase after him?"

"Yes, there are around fifteen people on pursue to catch him."

Xiao Tianyao didn't post another question after that as he buried his face on Luna's shoulder and said softly in m.u.f.fled voice. "Leave."

Yang Yu was aware about the situation and signaled for his other men to leave their Master alone, he needed that at this moment.

Yang Yu took Xiao Mugi from the guard as he covered the little boy's eyes from the b.l.o.o.d.y scene behind his back.

When they were outside Xiao Mugi was staring at his father personal guard while his tiny lips pursed, he asked with his childish voice a word that could break anyone's heart.

"Mother?" Xiao Mugi said clearly, with clear intention.

The little boy was asking about his mother, he wasn't able to see his mother because his father's broad back had covered her body. But, he remembered the pain on his neck.

Xiao Mugi touched his own neck and watched blood on his fingers as he grimaced in pain. "Mugi wants mother…" He said almost crying.

Yang Yu couldn't help but hugged the little boy tightly. How he could bear to tell him that his mother had gone, that he wouldn't be able to meet his mother again, that someone had killed his mother…

"Mother? Bring Mugi to mother." Xiao Mugi started to wriggle away from Yang Yu's grip, but of course he wouldn't be able to do so as Yang Yu hastened his pace and gave him to his wet nurse.

"Take a good care of him." Yang Yu said hastily as he handed over Xiao Mugi, who was trying to run back toward his courtyard. "Don't let him come near the Main courtyard." He warned the wet nurse.

"What happen?" She asked curiously while trying hard to calm their young master.

"And one more." Yang Yu ignored her question. "Be ready for a funeral." He said.

"Funeral?" The wet nurse became nervous as she kept trying to make Xiao Mugi stayed. "Whose funeral?"

Yang Yu heaved a deep sigh before he informed her with emotionless voice, as if this news came from afar and had nothing to do with Xiao Tianyao's mansion. "Miss Luna has pa.s.sed away." He informed the wet nurse in low voice, almost like a whisper.

"What?" The guards around and the other maidservant turned their head to see the shock expression on the wet nurse's face. "Don't joke with something like this!" Instead of believing him, she thougth it was impossible and reprimanded Yang Yu.

"I am not joking." Yang Yu said tiredly. "Take care of Young Master…" He said while waving his hand, there was a lot of thing to do now.

Inside the chamber, Xiao Tianyao was still hugging Luna's dead body silently, there was no more tears that falling down from his eyes and his heart no longer screamed in agony.

However, everything was empty and dull in his eyes. Something that he felt didn't right and everything seemed had fallen apart.

There was something missing in his memories and he didn't know what it was. The only thing that he remembered was he was on his way back from northern fortress.

Even Xiao Tianyao didn't remember the thing that happened on his way back. The only memory that he could recall was… Gong Xu…

Yes, he remembered him.

But, it was only a blurry vision of him. He was approaching him with the killing intention in his eyes and sword in his hand.

"Yang Yu." Xiao Tianyao called out his personal guard when he felt his presence.

"Yes master." Yang Yu approached him and knelt down beside Xiao Tianyao.

"What did you see when you arrived here?" Xiao Tianyao asked with deep and cold voice, Luna's body in his hand was starting to get cold.

"This subordinate didn't see much because the moment this subordinate arrived, Gong Xu suddenly went out of the window, but the sword in his hand was something that this subordinate thought was the evidence of him trying to kill Master." Yang Yu said in matter of fact tone.

"So, it must be him who had killed Luna." Xiao Tianyao made a conclusion from the information that Yang Yu had told him.

In the other hand Yang Yu was having difficulty to answer that question as he didn't really sure about what had happened and why his master only sat in silence when he knew there was someone who wanted to kill him?

However the evidence and the sword near Gong Xu's hand, Which Yang Yu was sure it was belong to him as it wasn't Xiao Tianyao's own sword, was quite a proof to prove his intention.

Hence Yang Yu nodded. "Yes, this subordinate think that was what happened."

Suddenly Xiao Tianyao stood up and carried Luna's body toward the bed, as he laid her down, he kissed her forehead, the last kiss.

"Prepare a funeral for her." Xiao Tianyao said.

"This subordinate has asked the other guards to prepare it, this subordinate will check on it." Yang Yu had come prepared.

"Good. And tell my brother and Qianru about this." Xiao Tianyao's words made Yang Yu knitted his brows as he didn't understand why his master ordered him to do that.

"Pardon this subordinate… but, doesn't master forgot about what had happened to Prince Xiao Tianyao and Princess Xiao?" Yang Yu asked carefully, there was something wrong with his master.

"What happened to them?" Xiao Tianyao's brows also locked together as he asked Yang Yu in bewilderment.

If this was another day, Yang Yu would have thought that his master was playing with him for forgetting something important like that, but it was totally impossible.

Because first, Xiao Tianyao's expression was indicating that he really didn't remember about what had happened and second, even if today was such a rare day, his master wouldn't throw a cheap joke like this. This fact alone made Yang Yu grew anxious.

He wanted to call a physician to check on Xiao Tianyao, probably Gong Xu had hit his head hard until he turned a bit different like this.

"What happened to them!?" Xiao Tianyao raised his voice as he saw Gong Xu was at lost while staring at him. He didn't like the way his subordinate was looking at him as if he was an object for investigation.

Yang Yu startled upon hearing his Master's voie and lowered his head to hide his curious gaze, it was impolite of him to stare at Xiao Tianyao that way.

"Prince Xiao Jun was being poisoned in the battlefield when Azura was in war with Zodasian Kingdom and Rockstone Kingdom, that was why Master hurried to the frontline to help Prince Xiao Jun." Yang Yu explained it curtly as he didn't know how to response it.

Xiao Tianyao must not forget something like that right? How could he didn't remember anything about that and even asked about what had happened?

"Being poisoned?" Xiao Tianyao's confusion was deepened. He tried to recall something in his head and there was a blurry image of Qianru was crying beside the bed, which the sick Xiao Jun, was laying on it.

Probably it was that…

But, how could he forget?

Xiao Tianyao held his head while grabbing his hair, something wasn't right had happened, there was something that wasn't right with his mind.

"Master, how about this subordinate call a physician to look on your wound? This subordinate afraid that your wound will get worse if you don't treat it." Yang Yu asked carefully about his wound.

Xiao Tianyao nodded, even though he didn't really understand what was the thing that Yang Yu was talking about. He waved his hand anxiously, telling Yang Yu to leave.

"Are you alright master?" Yang Yu wanted to approach Xiao Tianyao, his Master expression was like someone in great pain.

But, Xiao Tianyao stopped him by raising his hand and told him to leave him alone.

Yang Yu didn't want to agitate Xiao Tianyao further as his master wasn't in his good condition, probably the feeling of losing someone had made his Master a little bit befuddled and all he needed now was time to accept the harsh reality.

After all, his master had rushed back home only to meet his woman and his son, but all he saw now; Luna was being killed by her younger brother, which many people and even Xiao Tianyao's a.s.sume was on Luna's side.

This must be quite a blow for Xiao Tianyao that was why he acted a little bit strange like this.

"Yes Master." Yang Yu stepped out from the room and closed the door behind him.

This moment, it must have been hard for his Master.

When Yang Yu was no longer inside the room, Xiao Tianyao turned to look at Luna with his eyes filled with many questions.

"What exactly had happened?" He whispered. "What is this feeling?"

Actually, seeing Luna was laying motionless on the bed, didn't make Xiao Tianyao sad, the feeling wasn't a sadness, but confusion as if he was forgetting something important, but didn't really understand what it was.

He tried to remember, but couldn't grasp the blurry images that pa.s.sing through his mind.

Xiao Tianyao supposed to be in the edge of breaking down the moment he saw the woman, the mother of his sone was dead, however it wasn't that case…

"What happened to me?"

***

Qianru was in deep shock when she heard about Luna's dead.

"How is that possible?" She asked in trembling voice, she wasn't yet to meet her again after that day, the promise to visit her often couldn't be fulfill now.

"Apparently, Miss Luna has a young brother and he was the one who had killed her." Sheng informed Qianru.

He had this news after a long investigation.

Two weeks ago Ye Bai returned with his crazy self however there was something different with him, he looked scare of something as if there was something that triggered his bad memories, because that was what he would do the moment he remembered his family.

Ye Xiu had asked him thousand times, but Ye Bai refused to open his mouth. He even refused to go out from his room.

Thus, Ye Xiu ordered Sheng, Xun and another three people to find out about what had happened in Xiao Tianyao's mansion as that was the last order that Ye Xiu had given to Ye Bai before he comeback with mental breakdown like this.

Once they were there it wasn't hard to find the news about Luna's death as it was in people's lips.

They also asked about the news to Yang Yu and he confirmed it sadly. He also added, since that his master was slightly different, he was like someone who had lost half of his memories.

"What do you mean by losing half of his memories?" Qianru became nervous, how was that possible for Xiao Tianyao to lost his memories? Was he in shock because he lost Luna?

Qianru wanted to come and saw Xiao Tianyao's condition, but Xiao Jun was still not awak yet and she couldn't leave him. She didn't want to leave him.

It had been a month since she arrived at Greenhill Mountain, and since then, another treatment had been tried on Xiao Jun, but he still didn't show any progress…

It made Qianru sad but she didn't lost hope yet, there was still a lot of time and a lot of method that they could try.

As long as there was a way to help him recuperate, she would try everything.

"How about Mugi, Xiao Tianyao's son?" Qianru was worried about the little boy, after all he was too little to know what had happened to his mother.

"Xiao Mugi is under his wet nurse's care, but Yang Yu said Prince Xiao Tianyao didn't want to see his son, and the reason was still unknown." Sheng shrugged his shoulder, because Yang Yu also confused with his Master behavior recently. He was like someone else.

Qianru bit down her lips and nodded. "I got it. Thank you for telling me this and keep me informed about what is happening outside, Sheng. I truly appreciate it." She meant her words.

If it wasn't for Sheng she wouldn't know anything about the outside news, because Greenhill Mountain was quite seclusive and not any people could enter and leave as they please.

"Don't worry, I like to talk to you Princess Xiao." Sheng gave Qianru a bright smile while waving her goodbye and left the room.

Qianru turned her body, her mind was distracted by the news that she had just heard. If that was true, what exactly had happened that day when they parted?

However, all of her confusion suddenly disappeared when she caught those eyes. The eyes that she had been long to see, the eyes that she hoped would open one day.

And today was that day.

Those eyes were misty as if he didn't really know what he was seeing, following that, the voice that a little bit hoa.r.s.e called her name. "Qian… ru?" Xiao Jun finished to call her name with difficulty.

Qianru was stupefied by what she was seeing before her eyes.

Xiao Jun knitted her brows when he saw Qianru didn't come to him and with great effort he stretched out his arms to reach him. "Qian… ru…" He wanted to touch her, it felt like he was drowning in a big dark sea and he was tired to survive.

"Jun…" Qianru was trembling. She was crying hard when she ran toward him and cried on his chest. "I thought I will never see you again…" She was afraid, truly afraid.

"What… happened?" Xiao Jun put his hand behind her back, too tired to do more thing than that. But, her tears distracted him, he didn't like to see her at mess like this.

"You have been unconscious for more than half year…" Qianru said between her sobbing mess.

"Half year?" Xiao Jun's mind started to work as the last image of his fight came into his mind.

The pain from the poison that he had suffered, the pain when the a.s.sa.s.sins had stabbed him and also the pain when he thought he would die and would never see Qianru again.

"Yes… I am so afraid that you will never wake up Jun…" Qianru raised her head and tried to wipe away her tears that kept falling down on her cheek as she tried to stop crying.

Qianru took a cup of water and let Xiao Jun to drink, he must have been thirsty.

The liquid was flowing down on Xiao Jun's dried throat and moistened his chapped lips. It felt good and he was slightly better.

He looked at his surrounding and knew immediately where they were. "We are at Greenhill Mountain?" Xiao Jun asked for confirmation.

"Yes," Qianru nodded. "We are here because your Master suggested to Tianyao to bring you here, so you can recuperate."

"Tianyao?" Xiao Jun's eyes were staring at the door as if his brother would appear in any time. "Is he here also?" He asked expectantly.

"No, he is in the capital city." Qianru held Xiao Jun's hand tightly.

"How about the war?" Yes, just now he remembered that he was in the middle of war, he indeed had prolonged the war because he had something to do before the attack on him happened.

"It's alright…" Qianru rubbed his hand in soothing movement. "Elder Dam asked The Emperor to restore his military power because the moment you were sick, there was no suitable commander that could take control over your armies and in the same time, Elder Dam need to take care of the rebellion in the former Xinghe Kingdom's territory."

"And Xiao Tianyao came?" Xiao Jun concluded.

"Yes, the war had been ended a month ago." She said in sad tone and Xiao Jun caught this strange mood of her.

If the was had been ended didn't it suppose to make her happy?

"Something happened to Xiao Tianyao?" Xiao Jun asked impatiently, Qianru wouldn't be sad if Xiao Tianyao was in good condition, he knew his wife very well, there were not many people that could make her sad. "Is he alright? Is he suffering from major injuries" That was the only reason that came in his mind.

After all it was a war.

However, Qianru shook her head and said in trembling voice. "Luna is death, someone killed her and now, from the news that I received, Xiao Tianyao is at lost…"

It was something that Xiao Jun didn't see it coming. "What?"

***

Inside the northern fortress, Doctor Lin was staring blankly at Doctor Hong, who was writing on his journal.

"What are you doing staring at me like that?" He felt awkward under this unpredictable's woman gaze.

"I wonder…" Doctor Lin hung her words.

"What are you wondering about?" Doctor Hong asked without lifting his head from the book in front of him.

"I wonder if the effect of the medicine that I had given to Xiao Jun had faded and if he has woken up now." She tilted her head.

"You shouldn't keep him unconscious, you know?" Doctor Hong wasn't agreed with Doctor Lin idea to keep Xiao Jun in coma state, but no matter what he said, she still did it anyway.

"What to do… It is fun to see Qianru in deep sadness everyday." Doctor Lin gave the man in front of her an angel like smile.

"You are crazy." Doctor Hong hissed under his breath. He didn't know from where Modama had gotten a woman like this.

Upon hearing Doctor Hong's words, Doctor Lin was laughing hard until tears come out from the corner of her eyes. "I will take that as compliment." She said lightly. "After all, Master didn't complain about it." And she shrugged nonchalantly.
