Reborn In The Narutoverse 41 Chunin Exam Part 3

Naruto started laughing, "Listen up you guys, my name is Uzumaki Naruto, and none of you can beat me. You hear me!?" Every Nin in the room shot stares of death towards Naruto as he just shrugged off their killing intent with a grin

"What's wrong with him?" Ino said shouting at an embarra.s.sed Sakura; Sasuke shook his head, while Hinata smiled and said "Naruto's so cool."

"Naruto are you a Baka? You just made everyone in the room your enemy! Man what a drag, he even got me mixed up in their stares." s.h.i.+kamaru said shaking his head; Choji laughed and said while eating his chips, "I think Naruto's best like this."

Sakura started choking Naruto from behind and shouted "Can you not draw the attention to yourself just this once in your life." Sakura looked to the crowd and laughed as he pulled Naruto closer to the group, "Don't mind our friend, it's just how he deals with nerves."

As she continued to scold him, a trio of Sound Nin made their moves against the leaf ninja, but as they made their move to attack Kabuto they found themselves blocking three expertly aimed Shurikens. They jumped back and stared at Kibo who was flipping a Shuriken around his finger like a coin. "You should find your seat, cla.s.s will be starting soon." Kibo said making them look like fools, Kabuto turned and smiled at Kibo, "Thanks for the a.s.sist." Kibo smiled back, and responded "No problem."

The sound ninja looked at one another there leader wore bandages covering most of his face, leaving only his left eye uncovered. He wore a large poncho with long sleeves, with snake spot patterned scarf around his neck, protruding out of his of the back of his rain coat was straw rain catcher that made him look like a hedgehog. On his arm was holed arm guard that covered his fingerless gloves. The man stood hunched, which made him look smaller than he actually was and his loose baggy snake spot pants were tucked neatly into his strapped boots.

The male Sound Nin next to him had spiky, black hair and dark eyes. He wore a beige s.h.i.+rt with two black stripes and three prints of the kanji for death down the front. His forehead protector had an attached happuri under the cloth rather than connected to the metal plate, resembling Yamato's, and like both his teammates, he wore a snake-patterned baggy pants and scarf and around his neck.

The last sound Nin was a female she had fair skin, and onyx black eyes. She had very long black hair that almost reached the ground, and had a violet ribbon tied near the tip. She wore a forehead protector, a pale green vest somewhat similar to a flak jacket, and snake patterned pants and scarf, much like her teammates.

"Everyone take your seat!" A loud voice boomed throughout the room as an explosion of smoke appeared in front of the cla.s.s. A group of s.h.i.+n.o.bi appeared from out the fog, when the man leading them stepped forward and spoke with a sense of authority as he said "Sorry for the wait. My name is Ibiki Morino, and I will be your instructor for this part of the exam."

Ibiki had a large imposing figure, he had two vicious looking scars running across his face, one almost spanned the entire length of the left side of his face as it ran from the top of his head, around his eye and over his lips, the other was on his the right bottom side of his cheek and ran at a diagonal angle that was close to his nose. The wounds were made with some kind of blade, as they had to be because the scars were small and sharp on one end.

He was wearing a darker version of the standard uniform of the Intelligence Division, which consisted of a grey long sleeve b.u.t.ton up coat, a black leather belt and boots, along with a black trench coat and thin black gloves. He had a capped off bandanna that hid the top of his head, his eyes were what stood out the most, Ibiki was one of Konoha's most experienced interrogators, and has served Konoha with the upmost loyalty, his eyes reflected his veteran status well.

He explained the rules and made everyone sit down, as they began Naruto didn't look as freaked out as before, he had turned a clone into a fly on the window, and Kibo didn't even bother, he just answered them all for kicks, then drew a cartoon-ish version of himself with his pants around his ankles facing away from Ibiki with the caption bubble next to it saying, 'This test is lame.'

He then proceeded to take a nap, until the examination was over, near the end one of the watchers threw a Kunai on to a partic.i.p.ant's test papers and said, "5 strikes you're out." During this moment of distraction; Naruto released the clone, and quickly filled in the answers he couldn't before. Even he thought the stuff they were asking him to solve was a little crazy, but thankfully Kibo had told him this test was about cheating, and not being caught.

The man and his team were led out of the room, Kankuro also went to the bathroom during this time, his puppet made sure he pa.s.sed. When he returned and wrote down all the answers Ibiki shouted "Pencils down! Time for the tenth question." Kibo woke up and yawned, Ibiki thought he was an amusing one for being so relaxed in his presence, he smiled at Kibo as he continued to talk, "And before I say it, I'll be adding one extra stipulation before saying it, and this rule is an absolute."

The tension in the cla.s.s was peaking as he said, "First you must choose whether you're going answer the question or not." Temari started to shout, "What do you mean choose? What happens if choose not to?" Ibiki looked at her and responded in a dark tone "If you choose to reject answering you and your team will lose all their points and be failed."

Say what!? Why would anyone choose to reject answering?" The other s.h.i.+n.o.bi's in the room started barking, "Because of the next rule, if you choose to accept the question and you fail to answer correctly; then you will not only fail, you'll be banned from ever taking the Chunin exams again!"

This time Kiba shouted out, "This is crazy, if that were true than there wouldn't be so many repeating the exams." Ibiki started to chuckle as he looked to the remaining Ninja's and said, "Just your s.h.i.+tty luck, that's how someone else did their job before me, these are my rules now." He gave everyone a deathly glare as he finished "I've been up front and honest through this whole thing, now those who want to give up best do so now, and try your luck next year, because after this there's no turning back."

The whole cla.s.sroom shuddered, as many of the Nin began dropping out; leaving only around a third of the original Genin that came to take the test. Naruto was shaking as he loudly slapped his cheeks before shouting "Never! I'm never giving up! I'll answer your stupid question, even if I stay a Genin my whole life, I'll still become the Hokage, if I'm ready to die for that dream, what makes you think I'm scared if you. So let's get this over with, come on out with the answer!"

Ibiki looked to him and asked, "Are you sure, there's no going back past this point." Naruto gave a confident look, "I never go back on my word, being the biggest number one stubborn ninja what I'm best."

Ibiki nodded to the other watchers, a smile came across as he said, "Good choice! Congratulations to everyone remaining, you all pa.s.sed."

Everyone was freaking out and started asking questions, Ibiki answered them all as he explained that the test was about how well they gathered information and their ability to spy, beyond the yes or no question was just to make them understand the importance of what it means to accept a mission for when they lead a squad.

Ibiki removed his head protector and showed it was riddled with scars, depressions and burns. The sound Nin Dosu thought, "Cool, I bet his hands are even worse, that's what he gets for being dumb enough to be caught. That will never happen to me of course." As he completed showing what could go wrong if they were captured, he also finished answering their questions about the test. All of the sudden the nearby window broke; as a sign was held up by a few well thrown Kunai, a fairly tall woman who had a busty slender frame appeared.

Behind her them was cloth sign that had the words 'Newly Arrived Second Chief Exam Officer Mitaras.h.i.+ Anko' painted on it. She stood in front of everybody they got a good look at her, she had light brown, pupil-less eyes. Her hair was black blue tint and is styled in a short, spiky, fanned-ponytail. She wore a revealing fitted mesh body suit that covers her from her neck down to her thighs. Over this, was a tan overcoat with a purple in-seam and a pocket on each side, and below her hips she wore dark orange mini-skirt, with dark blue belt, and pale grey s.h.i.+n guards. In addition to the typical forehead protector, she also wore a small pendant that looks like a snake fang and a wrist.w.a.tch.

"None of you are in any position to celebrate! I'm the second exam officer Mitaras.h.i.+ Anko! Time's a wasting, come on let's gooo!" She shouted lifting her hand into the air. An eerie silence coursed through out the atmosphere, when Ibiki appeared from out behind the flag and said, "Can't you read the mood." Anko had a very embarra.s.sed look on her face, when she looked to the crowd and saw so many surviving candidates she turned to him and shouted, "A third of the applicants still remaining? Ibiki you're losing your touch." Ibiki smiled and responded "Not at all, this year we have some promising youths."

"Yeah right! I'll cut them down to half; just thinking about it riles me up." Anko let out a very scary face as the rest of the crowd sweated. "Alright I'll explain the rules, you guys just follow me."

As the crowd left Ibiki began picking up the test results and when he saw Kibo's his eyes widened, "Did he figure it out?" Impossible, all his answers are right, he didn't spend more than a few minutes on it!"

Meanwhile Anko led the group to a giant gated off forest, large locks and seals could be seen strewn throughout various sections of the barrier, and the trees were grown so high that they blotted out most visible light from the sun. Those with better vision could see strong Chakra monsters in the distance. Anko turned her head back and grinned before saying, "The location for the second test is here at the Forest of Death."

Everyone was chatting about the size of the trees, when she said "This is one of Konoha's most dangerous training grounds, and your all about to understand why we call this the Forest of Death."

Naruto started mocking her, by repeating her in a childish tone, when she threw a Kunai, Naruto dodged it as he hid behind Sasuke shouting "I dare you to try that again." He held Sasuke's shoulder; Sasuke turned around and pushed him off while saying "Lay off dweeb."

Just then Anko appeared beside him and put her arms around their shoulders. A Kunai appeared at their throats, and as a single drop of blood appeared from the two's necks she said, "c.o.c.ky ones always die first." Just then a man appeared and held out her Kunai that she threw earlier with his long 3 plus foot tongue. "You dropped this." Anko took back the Kunai and said "Thanks, but could you not stand behind me while radiating such killing intent? Unless you wanna die?"

He pulled his tongue back in when he said, "I'll try, but seeing blood always riles me up, especially after your Kunai cut a piece of my precocious hair. I'll try to keep it under control." He backed off and moved next to his team. Naruto and Sasuke rubbed their necks as Anko started up again.

"Looks like we got some hot blooded fellows this year." Anko pulled a stack of papers and shouted, "Alright before we begin you all have some waivers to sign, these are consent forms." Naruto peeked over at the papers, "Why do we need consent forms?" Anko had a childish grin on her face as she said, "We wanna cover all angles before the first death occurs, sign before you enter, you wouldn't want cute little me to be liable for when you get killed. I don't want to be held responsible after all."
