Hollywood Hunter Chapter 01

After simply packing the light-grey backpack with some clothes, 2 ma.n.u.script and a pen, he carried the backpack over his shoulder, glancing at this small room without feeling any nostalgia. He didn't plan to take anything away except the backpack.

After all, here is a psychiatric hospital.

The head nurse standing in front of the door looked at this slightly dismayed handsome guy and felt some pity but also happy for him, then gently said: "Simon, would you like to say goodbye?"

Now he is called Simon, Simon Westeros.

They left the ward and came to doctor Henry Chapman's office. Doctor Chapman is a kind middle-aged man and was Simon's physician. There is also another middle-aged white man who wore gla.s.ses and introduced himself as John, He is from Stanford University and would a.s.sist Simon in going through discharge formalities.

Simon was sent to this psychiatric hospital 9 months ago. That incident even caused quite a stir at that time.

An aspiring 17 year old teenager who grew up in a Children Welfare Insitute was admitted to Stanford University and received a full scholars.h.i.+p. But then, just less than 2 months later, he suddenly went crazy.

It was a severe violent schizophrenia. This is the diagnostic result on Simon's medical record filled in by doctor Chapman.

The fact is, there are twelve more souls that existed in his young body. How could he stay normal?

In his fragmented memories, the crazy-driven teenager frantically destroyed a whole reading room of Stanford University Library and even hurt several people. At last, he was tied up and was then sent to this psychiatric hospital located at the southern suburb of San Francisco.

He continued to recall back.

He was actually a director from the other side of the ocean who just finished the first movie in his life and won a great box office. His company planned to cooperate with one of the six Hollywood studios, Universal Pictures. In order to attract him, his boss sent him along with the negotiation team to Los Angels, which was a trip at public expense.

The prosperity of mainland film market made the whole Hollywood flourish and the business talk was naturally a success.

After they reached an agreement, the executives of Universal Pictures invited the negotiation team to attend a media party in Sun Valley, Idaho, along with many other Hollywood film pract.i.tioners, over 20 people flew from Los Angels in a Boeing 737.

However, just less than half an hour after takeoff, the Boeing 737's engine had a breakdown then crashed during a forced landing at San Francisco airport.

When he regained consciousness, he was back to year 1985 even though he is still in San Francisco county. What was more, his soul along with many other souls seemed to have mix together and existed in a young body. He then spent a long 9 months in a psychiatric hospital.

He didn't even know how he manage to control this body.

Or, it was because he was the only foreigner among the other souls. Just before the plane crashed, he had just left the luxury cabin where the executives of Universal Pictures and the company's negotiation team were and planned to go to the rear compartment and discuss about film making with the other Hollywood colleagues.

Or it was because he wasn't reconciled. During the endless 9 months, he felt the teenager's strong unwillingness. The teenager grew up struggling, he didn't expect that his life just started sailing and would fall from the sky. He himself just like the teenager was also unwilling to witness everything turning into ashes after he spent so many years and just as he started rising to prominence.

In any case, he eventually manage to take control of this body and the other souls fell into deep silence.

Even though those souls fell into silence, their memories remained.

Although the memories were fragmented, he also realized that the remaining memory fragments were a huge wealth for him.

Those who stayed in the rear compartment were the elites of Hollywood film industry, top-cla.s.s playwrights, photographers, film editors, composers, etc. These people are actually crew members of a blockbuster movie under Universal Pictures. The directors and actors of the crew are also on the plane, but they were invited into the front cabin and it wasn't known if they manage to survived or not.

After finis.h.i.+ng all the discharge procedures, Simon said goodbye to doctor Chapman and the others, he then took his backpack to John's car.

As you can see, John didn't like this task at all. He sent Simon to the bus stop near Wastonville and fulfilled Stanford University's last obligation and drove away in a hurry.

A month ago before leaving the hospital, Dr. Chapman had several conversations with Simon and asked his future plans.

Going back and studying in Stanford was naturally a choice, and Simon's major was the most popular in Stanford, Computer Science. So as someone who was from 30 years later, he was clearly aware of Stanford's Computer Science students that have created many fascinating wealth miracles in the upcoming Internet wave.

However, Simon did not hesitate to drop out.

He was a director and he have memories of a dozen Hollywood elites in his mind. It can be said that he alone was a top film crew with rich resources, there is no reason for why he should not go to Hollywood to make a living.

He spent more than 200 dollars in the process of changing his family name, it was mainly use to publish a name-change announcement on a newspaper near Watsonville, which is a necessary procedure for American citizens to change name, followed by the cost of re-applying for a driver's license. In the United States, driver's license could be used as an ident.i.ty card and you only need to spend dozens of dollars for the driver's license exam. Therefore, although he coud not afford to buy a car, Simon got his driver's license at the age of sixteen.

According to the price information in his memories, the money left in his hand is enough for him to last a week if it just to guarantee his basic living needs. It is enough for him.

It is easy for him to find a job within a week in Los Angels that is enough to make a living. The original owner of this body had mastered lots of skills since he did all kinds of part-time job since he was 13 years old.

In his memory, Simon was sent to a Children Welfare Inst.i.tute in San Jose when he was 6 years old. The young child was like a small beast that he stubbornly refused the adoption applications from many families. Therefore, he relied on himself making a living since he was 13.

Thinking of this, Simon couldn't help recalling the memories before he was 6 years old, but he could only recall some fragmented scenes and couldn't put them together.

He recovered from his messy thoughts.

Simon surprisingly found tears unconsciously falling down from his face.

A mother and her son were waiting for the bus as well, looking at him with a strange eyes and the young mother even pulled her 4 or 5 years old son and slightly took a distance from Simon.

Waiting at the shabby platform for half an hour, a bus from downtown San Francisco finally stopped at the road.

After putting his backpack on the rack, Simon sat down on the empty seat near the aisle.

Feeling the sound around her, the woman looked up and nodded at Simon politely then took back her eyes again.

Simon nodded at her as well but with some surprise because he knew her.

To be precise, Simon knew her, but she obviously didn't know him.
