Honey : The Empire's Treasure 24 Ewww...

In the beginning Lila had no idea where she was. Though her mind was conscious. She felt small and trapped as if she was waiting for something to happen.

All of a sudden a bomb went off inside her. It hurt so bad she felt she die again, but instead of being destroyed she was expanding and growing.

Remembering her biology courses in school she figured out what was happening to her.

With each today she grew, Lila sense her body taking form. It was a fascinating but also disturbing to feel your bones and organs growing inside you. What kept her occupied during these times was hearing her mother's voice.

Day by day her body took form. Lila had kept track of the months in her mind. She knew time was nearing for her birth. There was only a couple of last minute touches to be completed.

Though Lila could sense the changes in her body she couldn't identify if she was a boy or a girl.

She tried to wiggle around to get a better look of what was down there, but her actions just caused her to kick out.

Lyra lounge against the blue wisteria tree in her garden, giggling and rubbing her stomach to calm down the little one's kicking. Lady Lyra could swear she was carrying a girl. Though all her maids predicted a boy because it was constant kicking her, but she knew she family blood.

Seeing her mistress once again giggling while rubbing her stomach, Pia could guess what was going on.

"He's at it again. I think he's going to be a handful." Helping her mistress up off the ground. Pia helped her to her waiting room.

"It's a girl." Lady Lyra contradicted Pia as always in their daily guessing game. "And I believe this little one wants in on the guessing game as well."

Pia looked at her in shock, thinking her mistress developed 'pregnancy brains' from being pregnant for so long.

"If this little one can just come out already, we can all be satisfied." Pia huffed as she a.s.sist Lady Lyra down in a chair before fetching a mug of hot water.

Lady Lyra laughed at her young maid's mind. This was her first child yet, Pia was more impatience than she was.

Coming back in with the mug, Pia placed it down before her mistress. Receiving her cue after looking around to make sure the coast was clear, Pia went into her mistress's bedroom. Pressing in numbers only she and Lady Lyra knew, she opened the secret compartment. Pulling out a jar of brown liquid, Pia re-closed the compartment door.

Clutching the jar to she body, Pia walked swiftly back to Lady Lyra's side; placing the jar quietly on the table. Nodding her head that she could handle the rest, Lyra sent Pia away to watch the door to the room.

Opening up the jar of honey, Lady Lyra drank the sap down before chasing it with the now warm water. Whistling, Pia came back in. Taking the empty jar she quick threw it into the dish cleaner to wash away the evidence.

"Mistress, how are you doing?" Seeing Lady Lyra with her eyes closed Pia was a afraid something had gone wrong. Yet Lyra just held up her hand signaling Pia to silence as she and her little one absorbed the liquid.

When she opened her eyes, a voice carried over from the front yard.

"Your still as pregnant as ever I see." Lady Thalia was the fifth wife of Lord Mano household, although she is younger than Lady Lyra. She been married for longer, and already had two children for him.

Out of all the wives in the clan's head household, Lady Lyra was the closest to Lady Thalia. With her straightforwardness and pampered lifestyle only Lady Lyra temperament could put up with her. Lady Thalia behavior rubs most of the other wives the wrong way. Though because most of her family are part of the five aristocratic clans she gets a little more leeway in her behavior than others would.

Lila had heard this voice on multiple occasions. This woman always came around to gossip to her mother on things happening around the household. Lila had learnt a lot about what type of place she would be born into because of this busybody. She couldn't help herself to listen in every time she comes.

Lyra motion for Pia to bring some tea and snacks, as she knew Thalia consistently had a lot to talk about.

"How could you just sit here? You should be trying to get all the attention you can get from Mano right now. That way when your child is born he will spoil the child more. Ugh...you never listen to me. Now he's constantly going over to Lady.....

Lyra soon notice the reason Thalia came over this time. She wanted Mano to herself. Unfortunately she has four other women in her way. Knowing that Lyra will put up with her, she threw her frustration at her instead.

Lyra nodded in compliance to Thalia complaints.

"Hey, let me ask you something." Lady Thalia said after a half a hour of nagging.

Lila was about to go to sleep when she heard a change in the conversation.

"Where do you think Mano got his skills from?" Lyra was so surprised by this line of questioning she couldn't formulate an answer.

"Oh, come on. Do you think he does the same thing with all of us?...When he's with me he does this thing...."

"Wh ewww!....ewww!...ewwww!...I'm not listening....LALALALALA....I'm not listening..." Lila tried to hold her small hand over her ears.

Lyra felt the small movements inside her and knew her little one was throwing another tantrum.
