"Not now Zavier. I'd prefer you to leave me be." I growl in warning, knowing I'd try hitting him if he continued to bother me. Somehow he knew that I was leaving from the cookout quick enough to beat me to the entrance.
I honestly did not care what he had to say.
There would be no mercy for my partner.
"Wait. I know you are mad. W-"
"What do you want?!" I yelled, throwing his arm off me once again and spinning around to stab my finger into his chest. "Want me to cry? Want me to beg you to knock some sense in my brother? I don't know what to do?! I can't do anything apparently, that stupid kid will get himself killed. h.e.l.l. If it wasn't for me he would have been dead!" I snapped, shaking my head and trying to control my hands from shaking so much.
The league would have him murdered for turning into a traitor.
They would break me again if they found out I knew.
"Why does he have to be such an a.s.s?! I've always been there for him yet I get treated this way?! I can't handle this stress anymore. Maybe moving here was the wrong decision..." I mumbled more to myself, defeated with the know facts while Zaiver grabbed my wrist.
"I am so sorry you feel that way, Faye. But I hope you know you didn't make the wrong decision in moving here. I want to- no- I will make you feel welcomed and happy. That is a promise." The intensity in his voice made something within me crack a little more, hating that a stranger was more considerate than my own partner.
We might as well be siblings.
We've been with each other ever since we were ten and eleven.
"Don't act sorry. Don't even say it. I don't want your pity. If I did, I would have asked for it. I think it's best you stay away, only bad things happen around me and if you want to survive the night. Then stay back." I warn him, truly telling him the truth on my feelings not wanting to hurt him as Faye but Xenon is supposed to murdering him in cold blood.
Good thing they are two different people.
"Faye-"
"Please. I am telling you the truth for the first time we've met. Just listen to me and trust my judgment on this." I plead to him, never thinking I would be acting in this way towards him but it was for once my true feelings. Hopefully, I wasn't punished for my kindness, but maybe I could do something different.
Clearly, Ajax is.
I tore away from his hurt expression, leaving him behind when I hurried away to do some research on the person trying to murder Faye who wasn't Xenon.
〰〰〰
"Here." I held the file of papers Zavier who had just walked up to me. He was a little surprised to find that I was the one early this time since usually, I was the one always late. I knew that if I was late, I would end up not coming hence why I am here.
"What's this?" He questions, his tone sounding defeat when I started walking in a direction. "Where are you going?" He calls out as I stuffed my hands into my pockets and turned to him, revealing my eyes.
"Come. I'll tell you what I know and you tell me about my partner." I compromised, not letting there be any room for argument. My throbbing headache couldn't handle much so speaking normally would have to do.
"Alright..." He mutters, hating that I bossed him around but he let me anyway so it was nice to finally control something.
"I did some research about the accident and about the intoxicated driver that nearly hit Faye. Even though he was blinded by alcohol and drugs his primary target was Faye." I inform when he stuffed the papers under his arm and followed behind me.
"How do you know this?" He asks curiously while I covered my face more with the hood.
"I killed the man and got the information I needed," I said coldly making him go stiff beside me. "I am a trained killer, Alpha. Don't be surprised that I got my revenge." I remind. If it was up to me, I would have spent endless hours torturing him until he regenerated and continued on, though my anger was too great causing me to kill him quickly.
He deserved a slow death.
"He was one of my pack members... You br-"
"He tried killing your lover." I snap angrily as he shut his mouth, not wanting to challenge my growing anger. "It doesn't matter anyway. If it wasn't him, it would have been you." My voice s.h.i.+fted a little to a darker tone, remembering how the client wanted him dead but forcing the idea out of my head.
"We aren't... lovers." He stumbled on the dreadful words when I hid my smile from him.
"I saw the fight between the both of you. Rather disappointing that her brother could care less about her feelings. Such a sad childhood..." I sighed, getting back into my sad feelings while he glanced down at me.

"You know her childhood?" He says curiously as I cursed at myself for letting that information slip.
"Yeah. Tragic." I simply said not even bothering to go further into detail even though I felt he really wanted to know.
"Even so. That means you broke your promise about hurting my pack members." He corrected, stopping when I sighed and turned towards him.
"What are you going to do about it? Hurt me? Punish me like the villain I am?" I question with a slight laugh. "You know nothing about torture. Trust me. I've felt more pain then all of your pack members combined." I promise as I stepped away with a smirk. "Don't think you can thre-"
"I want you to come for dinner. That's your punishment." He simply says with a grin when the blood in me drained dramatically. "Right now. Right here." Zavier's c.o.c.ky a.s.s was waiting for me to deny but the punishment was so outrageous that I wished it was his torture.
"What kind o-"
"You told me that you've been through enough pain and misery. What better way to punish a killer then to treat them like a good person?" He shrugs.
d.a.m.n.
He is very clever.
I like that for some reason.
Gritting my teeth I said, "Fine. But don't expect me to stay for long. And I want to speak with my partner alone." I compromised while he nearly jumped in excitement.
"It's a deal, darling." He used my pet name to him, mimicking me as I growled at him and smacked him. The action made him laugh and deflect my further attacks, knowing I wasn't using my full strength.
This was a bad idea but for once, I should just take this opportunity to see the inside of their pack house. Yeah... That's the reason for my compliance.
To see the in's and out's of this place.
〰〰〰
"Alpha! Behind you!" A man yelled when I heard someone coming in from my right making me laugh out loud and jump into the air away from the charging wolf. Even with a pounding headache, I couldn't refuse such a kind offer.
"Stand-"
"Come on, pup!" I bark at the wolf, not grabbing the knife that was burning against my leg and waiting for the wolf to come barreling down at me. I promised not to harm another one of his wolf's but that didn't make my killing urges dwindle.
I just won't kill the wolf.
The wolf released a deep, long howl that seemed to call others while I rolled my eyes and watched the wolf dive for me. I rolled away, s.n.a.t.c.hing the wolf's hind leg and making it drop to the ground immediately.
Before I could cause some kind of damage to the wolf, Zavier ripped me off the wolf and held my arm in a tight grasp. I snarled at him, my red eyes s.h.i.+ning from the action of fighting the wolf.
"Stop! It!" He snaps at us making me chuckle in laughter and tear his hand off my arm. The wolves reaction was so priceless that it made me think of other ways of torture rather than physical pain.
"You're too adorable, darling." I cooed, leaning up and pressing my lips to his cheek, igniting the anger in the wolves that were coming around us. "It's so nice of you to protect me from the big, bad wolf. You should neuter him." I comment only getting a snarl in return causing Zaiver to sigh and shake his head.
"You're literally impossible. I'm alright. Carry on with your duties." He ordered the wolves when I smirked and wrapped my arms around their Alpha, grinning devilishly.
Reluctantly, the wolves left one by one until the one I fought stood there giving me the worst and deadliest glare I've ever gotten before he disappeared within the woods. I laughed out loud, never realizing it's some much fun to taunt my prey into fighting me when I pulled away from Zaiver.
However, he kept me there.
Woman phobia my a.s.s.
"Alpha. Let me go." I said, trying to shove him away but he grabbed my face and forced me to look at me. Zaps of electricity going through our hands while I stared at him in the face, seeing his green eyes peering down into my red ones.
"You truly don't know? It's a wonder that you want to be so close." He mutters to himself while leaning into my face and getting a little to close for comfort.
"W-What in G.o.d's name are you doing?! Back off!" I screeched trying to shove him away when his grip tightened around my waist.
"I'm only giving you what you want. If I knew before... You should have just told me, darling." He growled before digging his hand inside my hood and through my hair that was tucked into the hood.
I couldn't react to what was happening as he pressed his lips on mine and pulled me closer to his body. His lips were gentle yet stern at the same time, giving off tiny little zaps that made me want this even more.
In all my years of living, I've never known to want something so bad as I wanted this.
This felt so wrong, but so right at the same time.
It was like a nun was having s.e.x in the broom's closet in a church. So devilish yet so pleasurable.
Finally, my eyes closed in content as I grabbed his s.h.i.+rt and pulled him more towards me. The small gap that was between us closing while he growled at my persistence and tightened his hold on the back of my head.
Causing the hood on my head to slip off making me click back into reality.
And the nun is suddenly reminded of her holiness.
I shoved him away quickly, covering the hood over my face once again and staring at him in disbelief. My lips stung for the need to kiss him again when he grinned over at me and brushed his hand over his mouth as if he couldn't stop the electricity going through them like mine.
"I never knew about this side to the famous Xenon. Who knows who else is down there... I'm curious though. What kind of creature are you? I know d.a.m.n well you aren't a wolf or vampire or else you'd bite me. So what else could you be love?" He purrs, clearly satisfied with the realization that I wasn't what everyone was told.
"I can't handle you. I am leaving." I scoff, not believing that I allowed myself to get carried away with him when I turned away to leave but his laugh made me grit my teeth.
"Let me guess. You're a witch. Have you put some kind of hex on m-"
"I would never put a hex on a person again!" I screamed in his face, close to punching him as he looked at me shocked. My body shook terribly while he saw the fear in my eyes and raised his hands in the air.
"I'm sorry..." He mutters completely surprised by my reaction. I turned away and started walking away, ignoring everything around me. "Xenon. Wait-"
"Don't." I shut him down, snapping my finger and disappearing within the fog of the forest.
I would never, ever, hex anyone again.
Even if it meant death.
