Chapter 3: Imminent Trouble
Bai Aoxue slowly turned back. Looking at Lvwu, she said loudly: “I’ll let you see whether I’m a coward girl or a devilish one! I’ll teach you that who is the master and who are the subordinates.” Like a gurgling spring, Bai Aoxue’s clear voice sounded intoxicating. However, everybody knew that the girl standing before them was a devil who would explode at any moment after being subdued for a long time.
Bai Aoxue stepped heavily on the other leg of Lvwu. The bone broke instantly. Another spell of shrieks rent the sky again.
“You, the b.i.t.c.h. Kill me if you have the ability! I’ll retaliate against you someday!” Lvwu gazed at Bai Aoxue with resentment and said venomously.
Bai Aoxue slowly squatted down beside Lvwu to look at her horizontally who was with unreconciled and resentful eyes, saying: “Do you know the best way to torment someone is not killing him, but making life h.e.l.l for him? You want to die? Take it easy. I won’t fulfil you. Death is so great for you. If you died, you would get free at last. But sorry! You have to pay a price for bullying Mumian and Bai Aoxue in these years. I will torment you until you want to die but not let you die instantly.”
Although Bai Aoxue spoke in a low voice, all the people beside her heard what she said distinctly. They looked at Bai Aoxue and trembled heavily with their eyes swelling with panic and fear.
Scarcely before Lvwu cursed a few words after hearing it, Bai Aoxue swiftly pinched her mandible to pieces. She said: “Your voice sounds like a duck. It’s too disgusting. I remove your mandible, and then there will be a moment of peace in my courtyard.”
Lvwu couldn’t utter any sound. She looked at Bai Aoxue more in panic than hatred.
Bai Aoxue didn’t care about it, she slowly rolled up the sleeve and said: “Do you see the scars? They are left by you and your dear master. Now, I would like to claim the interest from you first. And I’ll settle the princ.i.p.al with your master later.”
When the maidservants saw the crisscrossed scars on her arm, they drew a cold breath.
What a hatred would have caused such clear scars?
They looked at Lvwu with disgust and scorn. They seemed to understand why Bai Aoxue burst at this moment. Perhaps, if she were somebody else, she would had burst earlier.
Bai Aoxue achieved the desired results. If she had overdone things, perhaps she would had aroused the suspicion from others. And only in this way, they would think that she started to fight back because she couldn’t withstand their mistreatment anymore.
Bai Aoxue didn’t hesitate any more as she got what she wanted. She held Lvwu’s hand and pinched the bone to pieces with great strength.
Bai Aoxue knew the excruciating pain caused by broken bones, and what she had experienced was much more than this.
Lvwu lost consciousness because of the sharp pain. Bai Aoxue didn’t relent but pinched her philtrum. She waked her up and said: “When I was in a coma, you treated me like this too. Tell me. Is it comfortable?”
Lvwu was in a regret: If she had known that Bai Aoxue would fight back at this time, she wouldn’t have stepped into the courtyard which she frequented every day.
However, there was no regret medicine in the world. Bai Aoxue wasn’t the Bai Aoxue before any more.
“Mumian! It’s almost enough!” Bai Aoxue said to Mumian who was jumping up and down because of excitement.
Upon hearing what Bai Aoxue said, Mumian stopped immediately. She said: “Yes, Miss. I see it!”
Seeing Mumian stop her action, Bai Aoxue nodded with satisfaction. She said: “It doesn’t matter whether she will be dead or alive. But if your hands hurt, my heart would ache for you.”
The remaining maidservants initially thought that Bai Aoxue wanted to spare the maidservant’s life who was dressed in pink out of softheartedness, but she was just afraid that Mumian’s hands would hurt.
If they could rant, they would curse a few words to vent the dissatisfaction in their hearts.
Looking sideways at the maidservants, Bai Aoxue said: “What, aren’t you displeased because you didn’t get fixed?”
Hearing it, they shook their heads and said: “No. No. No. We are glad that you didn’t fix us. How can we be displeased?”
“Since you are glad, take the two b.i.t.c.hes away. They are really eyesores in my courtyard. By the way, please sweep the yard clean. When you go back, tell my stepmothers and my younger sisters that I’m having a good time today, and I will be happy in the later days. I hope they are happy too.” Bai Aoxue said slowly to the maidservants who now a.s.sumed a careful manner before her.
They immediately nodded and then carried away Lvwu and the maidservant dressed in pink together.
The noise died down in the courtyard, leaving only Bai Aoxue and Mumian.
It was like a dream. Mumian never thought that the dream she was dreaming these years could come true this day.
Mumian turned her head over to look at Bai Aoxue excitedly. She said: “Are you… really my Miss?”
Seeing Mumian’s incoherent expression because of excitement, Bai Aoxue responded, feeling ashamed: “When I was five, mom told me that as a girl, if you didn’t fight, strive and contend for anything, there would be a man cheris.h.i.+ng you. Right?”
“Mom died when I was six. It was you who cuddled me and said that you would keep company with me. Right?” Bai Aoxue said slowly. She recalled the childhood memory while looking at Mumian.
Mumian’s eyes had been full of tears. She said: “Sorry, Miss! I shouldn’t doubt you.”
Bai Aoxue took out a handkerchief and handed it to Mumian. She said: “It doesn’t matter, Mumian. Perhaps I was too coward before. I was following my mom’s instruction, without fighting, striving, and contending.”
“Now I see. Even so, someone tried to kill me. Even I was so obedient, my father still didn’t like me. Even if I lived a lowly life, someone tried to tread me into the dust. In this case, from today onwards, I’ll get whatever belongs or not belongs to me through any means. Since my father doesn’t love me, I will have no more expectations then. I’m determined to retaliate against those who humiliated me and you. I’ll let them pay a price thousands of times.” Bai Aoxue looked at Mumian proudly after changing the topic.
Mumian opened her mouth lightly because of surprise. Looking at Bai Aoxue who was foreign to her, Mumian adored her even more.
Bai Aoxue knew Mumian was surprised, and it was what she wanted. Mumian would believe that she was still the former Bai Aoxue and she just understood how to live her life after returning from the death line in this way.
“But we severely beat the maidservants of the Second Miss and Concubine Su. I’m afraid they will take the opportunity to bring some troubles to us,” Mumian looked at Bai Aoxue, full of concern.
“Oh. That’s great. It’ll be better if they come for me. They don’t want me to live a good life, and I’ll let them have a hard time, either. I’ll beat them every time they come here. Don’t be afraid of anyone later, Mumian. I’ll account for the aftermath. I won’t let you be bullied by anyone in my life.” Bai Aoxue knew Mumian was worried about her. It sent a thrill of warmth to her heart.
When seeing her maidservants were so severely beaten, Bai Suxue was furious. She yelled loudly and angrily: “What do you say? That b.i.t.c.h beat Lvwu like this? Do you think I’m stupid? That b.i.t.c.h doesn’t dare to touch even a cat. How can she torment Lvwu like this?!”
“Second Miss, it’s true. If you don’t believe it, you can ask Lvwu. We have to send Fenhe to Second Madame’s courtyard. We’ll leave first.” The maidservants who were not beaten by Bai Aoxue didn’t dare to stay at Bai Suxue’s house anymore because they knew they didn’t have the ability to offend Bai Aoxue, but Bai Suxue was also a tough one.
“‘Rubbis.h.!.+” Bai Suxue said ferociously when she saw the maidservants walking away in a hurry.
Looking at Lvwu who was half dead, Bai Suxue flied into a rage. “Come on. Throw the good-for-nothing away. The prime minister’s mansion does not need a good-for-nothing! I’m annoyed by her. I want to find out how the b.i.t.c.h dares to beat my maidservant!” She immediately headed for Bai Aoxue’s courtyard, accompanied a group of servants.
